Wilmington Diner

Clean, brightly lit and stylishly decorated small diner located on Marsh Rd, right off Philadelphia Pike. During our visit, the restaurant was tastefully decorated for the Christmas holiday.

Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The house salad was generously sized, crisp and fresh. The chicken wings starter was nicely done and well seasoned. Our food arrived in a timely manner and was fresh-off-the-grill hot.

The turkey platter entree included stuffing, gravy, and a choice of two vegetables along with soup or salad, plus pudding, jello or ice cream for dessert-- Rating: Good

The 8oz Cheeseburger Deluxe came with French fries and a couple jumbo sized onion rings-- Rating: Very good.

There were about half a dozen dessert choices in the glass case. All looked very good. The Strawberry Shortcake was excellent.

An eclectic place unlike any other. Tear down your preconceived notions of the typical diner. This place is traditional at its core but cascades a layer of new and sensational flavor that changes the game in such a way that the game can no longer be played the same again. The staff are gorgeous souls and treat you like you are the most golden chicken tender in the box.

We lucked onto this place by chance. I had a diner staple, liver and onions along with onion soup. The food was absolutely terrific. The liver was tender and moist and came with gravy on the side. Not your typical liver gravy but it was delicious. The side of broccoli was done to perfection as was the baked potato . Finished off with home made rice pudding. Should also mention the coffee exceptional.The service was as good as the food. Very pleasant and accommodating. If this place wasn't 70 miles from Baltimore I would be tempted to drop in more often.

Great little restaurant, recently remodeled, and under new ownership I understand. Great service, perfectly prepared omelette, fresh ingredients, decent prices, really nice place. Exactly the kind of breakfast I look for when I’m on the road! Will definitely eat here again!

The Wilmington Diner has started off with quality, pleasant staff, and as a destination dining favorite from the get-go. One would feel like it’s a 25-year-old family eatery, and deservedly so. WD gives birth to the pinnacle of a modern warm Mom and Pop classic diner from the 50’s making each selection taste better than good but more like a comforting remembrance. Ample portions are priced appropriately. Vast menu and daily specials.Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Supper, Diner, Desserts, and Take-out.
I expect Wilmington Diner will live up to it's name even being located on the skirt of Wilmington. A worthy destination for all palettes.

Renovated and under new ownership, as far as I understand. I've now eaten breakfast and lunch here, and both were excellent. I've eaten at all the diner-style places in the area, and this is among the best.

My family and I were welcomed by a greeter who sat us to our table. We then were greeted by James our waiter who had exceptional customer service. He made sure he understood our order, repeated it back and made sure we were ready with all necessary needs prior to our food coming out! James checked on us, when he saw our cups getting low he offered refills, James was a really great waiter. The atmosphere is really cute, and cozy food was also very tasty.. Thank you ! Definitely recommend

The food is awesome. More than adequate portions. The servers are friendly. Nice old fashioned diner.

Open 24 hours; happy about that. Food selection is moderate. Place was clean, but not NEW kind of clean. I got a buffalo chicken wrap, which was tasty and surprisingly hot. It came with french fries, which had a delicious taste of their own. My meal was priced right and was well made. No problem parking, but it was 11pm.

The food was good and people were very nice .

Our waitress was great ! can’t remember her name off the top of my head but if you get lucky to have the younger blonde girl then you’ll get some actual good service in this place :) She was totally killing it by herself in there running the whole front alone and still keeping a great attitude! I come here all the time and this was probably the best service ive had yet !

I love the new update to the old restaurant. The French toast were the best I've ever had, nice crunchy crust.

I get my chicken tenders her at least twice a week! The flavor is great and the costumer service is fantastic! definitely recommend🙏🏻.

Christina the hostess, and my waitress (forgot her name so sorry) were very kind and answered any of our questions in a personable manner. Was a typical, pleasant, diner experience 👍🏾

I like that this diner is open 24 hours. I had a Greek salad and eggplant parmesan which was delicious! They serve big dishes at decent prices! Would definitely return
