The food here was very good. The Poutine is a must for a starter. It was smoky from the bacon, the gravy was tasty, and the cheese was soooo good. For the meal we had a couple of burgers, fried chicken sandwich (coleslaw was not my taste but everything else on the sandwich was great), and a fried haddock sandwich. Everyone was happy with their meals.

I had a couple of local beers on recommendation from the server and they were good.

Service was also phenomenal (I wish I could remember the gentlemans name to give him a shoutout)- we were in the state just for the day and our server gave us ideas of what we could do. We would all recommend this place and soils definitely come back!

One of the best burgers I've ever had! Their Downstreet burger has caramelized onions and blue cheese and bacon. It paired perfectly with the Doghead Punkin on tap. The fries were nicely crispy, and in generous portion.

Butcher's choice steak came out sizzling and was cooked to the perfect temp requested, and Katie is an awesome bartender who has perfected the art of a mojito. Love this place!

Easy to make reservations online (I love not having to call 🙃). Low key relaxed environment, very friendly service. The cocktails are a bit pricey but they are generous on their liquor so it all balances out. Food was good and quick to the table.

This is a hip kind of place, with craft drinks and incredibly good craft food. My partner ordered a salad with grilled chicken added and ate the entire portion, something I haven't seen her do before. I had the fried haddock sandwich and it was delicious. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was casual, as I felt unrushed during our stay. Parking is available on the street in front of the restaurant, as well as in free public lots nearby. I will definitely return next time I am in town.

We've been driving by this nondescript basement gem for over a year and had no idea it existed. That changed when I ventured downstairs from the snow-covered sidewalk and asked how someone in a wheelchair could access the dining room. We were escorted in the elevator to the dimly lit, rustic bar and dining room (that had a slight detour along the kitchen), and it only added to the anticipation of a new dining experience! Let me say, the staff (especially the hostess) were so kind and accommodating that the food could have been terrible and we would have come back! Luckily, that was not the case, and the ONLY reason for four of five stars on the food is that the pork enchilada was really a quesadilla. Meals were prepared tastefully, and presented with sincerity in a pleasant mix of basic, yet bold. The French Onion Soup was hearty and rich (but needed the traditional crust of stale bread...hint hint) and satisfying as a meal itself -- especially paired with the daily bread board. The daily selection was a maple cinnamon that was good enough to take a load home. The enchilada was delicious, but without sauce, should more likely be called a great tender pork and tangy cheese quesadilla. Service start to finish was hometown friendly with natural conversation, smiles, and shares. Don't skip a taste of the house made dill pickles that'll beat your taste buds like a Sour Patch Kid!

Little jewel of a place in St J.
Great atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff, strait forward menu, the pork ribeye was a winner. Highly recommend. Reasonable pricing. Great food, good time would be had, go, enjoy.

Visiting from England, we went twice last week. Very busy first time so had to wait for a table. Well worth the wait!
Both times I had ribeye pork. It was the best pork I have ever eaten!! Tender, juicy and tasty. Couldn't fault it.
I drank pina colada but because I can't tolerate orange juice I asked for it to be missed out and double pineapple used instead. No problem for the bar lady!
Our servers on both occasions were polite, friendly and made sure we got exactly what we wanted.
If I ever return to St Johnsbury I'll definitely eat here again.

Fantastic experience! We stopped in St. Johnsbury on our way to Stowe and are so glad we did! Kingdom Kitchen & Taproom is a true gem!! The food, service and atmosphere were all top notch. My husband had the best old fashion he’s ever had. The kitchen was so kind in cutting the sandwich in half that my sister and Mom were sharing and even doubled their side of poutine so they each got a full order. The citrus burrata salad was to die for— with the maple balsamic dressing being the star of the show 🌟

Food was amazing!

Stopped by later in the evening, had the Downstreet Burger and poutine. Should have had a beer or something else, but wasn't up to it then.

I have to talk up the food. It is DAMN GOOD. I haven't had a perfect burger in such a long time... it was fantastically-smoky, sweet, juicy, savory, and was complemented with the saltiness of the poutine. Speaking of, every fry that wasn't drowned with gravy was crispy. These are big, chunky cut fries that were CRISPY... I really was blown away. The brown gravy for the poutine made me think of a less peppered brown gravy that you got from KFC... you know that weirdly-memorable KFC brown gravy on that mash? But it was better. And they didn't skimp on the cheese, either!

I was told that they have Lagavulin 16 here... wish I had known that, ha. From what I could tell, they didn't have a HUGE selection of whiskey... mostly the more common stuff. Which isn't a bad thing... you're probably coming here for the beer anyway.

Atmosphere was good, wasn't too loud with music, lighting was good (wasn't super dim), people were having a good time. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Definitely stopping by here again any time I'm in the area!

Great beer selection and definitely the biggest, yummiest salad I had for years. Kids food was more of healthier looking side, which my kids didn’t appreciate. (Parent fail here). They did love that their Shelly temples came with generous amount of cherries and those got finished, pronto.

Kingdom Taproom has a nice selection of local brews. With great food and nice service it’s definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. I recommend getting the fresh baked bread to start, and the creme brûlée to finish. The restaurant is on the lower level of a building so there isn’t any windows so it can be a little dark in here. Overall great place to stop!

Had a wait, the ten minutes turned into about 30.
The food was good, beer cold, and the waiter was really good. Very clean, nice area. The waiter was Mathew, very professional.

We stopped at the Kingdom Table (not the Tap Room, which is downstairs) on a road trip. Just to put the review in perspective, this is a nice restaurant, not a roadside dive. Dress is informal.

My wife had a burger which was excellent. It came with fries (which she shared with me :-)). She asked for gravy, which they happily brought her, and it was amazing. This was a large, hand formed burger. Very nice.

I had Cream of Carrot Ginger soup and Bao Buns (an appetizer) as my meal. The soup was light (no flour here) and very good. The buns were delicious.

Coffee was fine, too.

After our meal, they successfully tempted me with an apple bread pudding (I have a soft spot for that kind of thing). It was good too.

Our server was friendly and professional, the decor is nice, and the music tasteful.

All in all, an excellent experience!

We were on vacation celebrating our anniversary & stopped in for lunch. We had originally planned eating at another restaurant, but it was closed so we decided to give Kingdom Table a try. So happy we found this wonderful restaurant. Service was excellent & food was phenomenal!! My husband ordered the burger w/poutine & he was blown away. It was hard to tell which he enjoyed most! He said it was probably in his top 3 burgers, and we travel A LOT!! The poutine was served w/Duck Confit, WOW is the only word that came to mind when I tasted it. So Good! I had ordered a salad which was very fresh with a lovely grapefruit/balsamic vinaigrette. Definitely a place worth checking out. I read the other reviews & not even sure they ate at the same restaurant, must have been a very weird/bad day. Give Kingdom Table a chance.

Absolutely delicious! Best stop of the day. The wife got the burger and I got the Crispy Chicken. They use thighs and not breasts so the meat was tender and juicy. Nice addition was a pickled pepper (our server hinted to remove the seeds to neuter the heat!) Lovely decor, friendly staff, attentive to the COVID rules, and a nice "pub" style menu. Sorry I didn't leave much to photograph- didnt cross my mind until after the total demolition of the sandwich!

I have a pretty limited diet and have always been able to find something awesome to eat.
Service has always been great. My daughter came to visit and was impressed to see the same waiter she had 1.5 years ago.

The food here was incredible. Very friendly staff. Amazing, local, and unique beer selection. The table salad is big enough for 2 or 3 people as a starter.
