Darn good breakfast. The food is made from scratch (at least it tastes like it is).
The quality of the food is superior to other notable diners affiliated with late night brawls and hurricane severity.
The price is also competitive with the non-made from scratch diners.
Also: coffee was legitimately good. It wasn’t sitting in a coffeepot on a burner for 45 minutes before it was served to me. It was fresh and delicious.

100% would return again and would recommend to friends and family.

Great little diner right in the heart of St. Johnsbury. Ceasars salad with fresh prepared nicely seasoned chicken reast and a woodsman burger done perfect. Hot unsalted crispy fries.
The service is friendly, you feel welcome and no question was left unanswered.
We will definitely come again!

Anthony's Diner, they have a very regular crowd, you could say, "the early birds". My fiance and I went there at 6:30 pm and were happy to have the place mostly to ourselves. Our Server, Grace, was INCREDIBLE. She welcomed us graciously, let us choose our own table, informed us of the specials and drinks. When I asked if they possibly had scallops (not listed on the menu or specials) she said, "let me check as sometimes on the weekends we have scallops on special"...when she came back to my extreme delight they had scallops!!! The FRENCH FRIES were literally TO DIE FOR better than at "The County Fair" fries, and dare I say, even better than Al's French fries (iykyk)! As for the shrimp, scallops, and haddock: for the northeast corner of Vermont (a landlocked state) I have NEVER had BETTER. My fiance had a Chicken Caesar Wrap which was exceptionally good. I think having Grace as our server made the whole experience even better. Thank you Grace, we will be returning customers.

You come in and seat yourself, a waitress will come to your table and take your drink orders. Place your order for your main entrees when ready. Once your food comes out ... ENJOY 😃

After your meal and desert is done don't forget to tip your server good if you were happy with the service.

If you are in the area and looking for good food definitely try this restaurant out.

Our meals turned out perfect and we plan to return and try something else on their menu.

I worked here when I was in highschool some 25 years ago. Was in the area and took my wife and daughter here for old times sake. The food is still fantastic and the atmosphere still the same. I haven't found better homemade bread anywhere else! Worth the visit.

This place is great, the decoration is very typical of the area, the staff is very friendly and helpful, everything is very clean and, in addition, the food is exquisite, the hot dog is very American-style, the prices are accessible, Highly recommended

Hard to beat this place for yummy diner food. Welcoming and delish. Our waitress Grace was adorable and helpful.

We stopped to charge our Tesla and for the first time ever it was an abandoned mall-lol! We were hungry and drove into town to find something to eat! We came across this bubbly blue eyed beauty and she brought us the best burger and then the awards to prove it! Well sure enough they had won an award for the burgers! Well done!

Whenever I am traveling pass or near St. Johnsbury, I always stop at Anthony's Diner. For over 30 years, and I have never been disappointed. I recommend the woodsman burger and the mile high pies. I split the burger with my wife, in order to leave room for a piece of pie. I don't know how they've kept the standards up as long as they have, but I sure am happy they have. Fantastic

Delicious soups and burgers. I wish that I had room for a piece of pie. I hear that they are famous.

I had the best turkey dinner I've eaten in decades apart from a homemade Thanksgiving dinner. My wife had the egg salad which was fabulous as well.

The Cherry Pie is a must. Nice home town restaurant, we were happy to find it after a long day on the road.

Great place! Definitely a traditional Diner-style eatery... just about everything smacks of being homemade. Everything our group ordered was excellent. We don't get to St. J often, but I would definitely go back there if the opportunity arose.

I go here every year with my family its a must stop at place been going there since I was a kid and now my kids are doing it 💘

Food was good quality and great tasting. Highly recommend the coconut cake. Staff was very friendly.

Omg heaven! I had the best clam strips dinner with mashed potatoes/gravy and tarter sauce plus a big piece of Butterscotch cream pie for dessert. Waitress who served me was very fun/personable too.

We stopped by for a quick lunch on our trip. Reviews were good and accurate. The service is fast and friendly. The burgers were great. Fresh ingredients and the burger was well cooked. The fries were a bit floppy but delicious. A little salt and they were just how I liked them. We got the clam chowder. It was delicious as well. Wasn’t super busy for a Saturday lunch. The food came out really fast. Clean and great atmosphere. Very “Diner”. Small town food at its best!
