Otter Creek Used Books

This is one of my favorite places to hang out and "hide" in to explore when I need some time to think and get away from the "real world." You never know what you're going to find! They always have something new. I also love their fun chairs!

Owl Creek Books is the place to be for used book lovers seeking an extraordinary bookstore experience. With their cozy atmosphere and a book oracle like Barbara, they go above and beyond. I knew I couldn’t purchase anything because we were vacationing in Vermont, and our suitcases were already bursting at the seams, but one book called out to me. After we returned home, I sent Barbara an email describing the book (it turned out to not be a terribly accurate description) and its approximate location. Barbara found it for me, and it’s now on its way to me! I could spend weeks in that store.

Wonderful good-sized bookstore in Middlebury's historic Marbleworks with many assorted used and vinatge books. I found a number of unique works that are not in most used book stores as well as some antique books. If you are interested in used books then it's worth a trip to Middlebury...plus the town is very nice and quaint to visit. Enjoy!

I love used books! This bookstore has a very nice collection of used books - very well organized. Whenever I am in the Middebury area - I try to stop in. The owners and staff are very pleasant and CAN discuss books and make suggestions! If you love to book browse - this shop should be on your list!

This is a terrific bookshop with many hard to find volumes in superb condition. The broad and deep inventory is organized carefully and sensibly in a clean, bright store.

I had a chance to talk with the pleasant, gracious and helpful owners ss I checked out and it's clear that they love reading books as much as their customers. I'm now going to make sure that all my future visits to Middlebury include an hour or two browsing through this gem of a bookstore.

A treasure trove of books! Friendly service with a smile ( well a smile behind a mask anyway) and charming and airy atmosphere amid towers of books, with warm nooks to tuck yourself away and consider the words of many great authors. Highly recommend.

A more modern feel, this place leans towards the Barne's & Noble kind of atmosphere from the pens for sale at the counter to the curated selection of books.
