Fenwick Island State Park

Fantastic state park, very clean. Half the beach is dog friendly year round. After October 1st the entire beach through Maryland is all dog friendly. Bathrooms are available and snacks if you don’t pack a cooler of food. Like all beaches, if there is off shore wind beware of the blackhead flies! They will eat you and your dog all up. Definitely a great section of the beach since there are no homes or buildings blocking the views.

Super nice beach, two days in a road and we found it clean and very spacious... residents enjoy free parking with a proper permit.

Great place but get there early. We got there right when they opened and got a good spot. We stayed all day and had a front and center position.
If you're bringing things, make sure youre willing to strong arm it all the way or bring a sand cart (highly recommend). There were sand wheelchairs and a good rubber pathway that takes you to the beach. Lifeguards were there and started around 9 and left promtly at 5pm. They need everyone out of the water at 5, but theres no rules about if you go back in after they leave.
Waves were wild, it was a yellow kind of day but the kids handled it well. Just need to dive under the waves and get out a little ways and it was perfect fun.
Bathrooms and wash off station.
There's also a little snack shack for some typical food, which was pretty good (fries, chicken tenders, hotdogs, etc).
Watch out as the birds are ruthless

A great kid friendly beach with decent parking prices ($5 in state $10 out of state) and a beautiful sandy beach. I love that there are showers available as your leaving the beach and the bath house with restrooms. Our kids loved playing in the sand for hours and the water was nice and warm. Overall great experience.

Great place to enjoy your 4x4 and fish. Spend a night around bonfire with friends. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset 🌅 just get some sprays from flies, they bite hard! And please make sure to clean up after yourself. Keep our beaches clean!

Beautiful and clean park. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The tides are high (7.3) today, I must state that while we are having fun and enjoying the beach the Lifeguards are doing a phenomenal job at keeping everyone safe.

Off season at the beach---what more could you ask for? The beach all to yourself!

Fenwick Island State Park is beautiful and has one of the most glorious beaches I have ever seen. The people are friendly, and the waves are fairly calm. If you're looking to see dolphins at the 🌇sunset, or sunrise this is a great place to see nature in it's natural form, and explore a lovely tourist town with a lot of fun to offer.

This beach is so nice. It's alot less busy than ocean city. It has showers bathroom and dressing area. Small office area with a park attendant during office hrs. I thin until 5pm. It's really thoughtful to have the balloon wheelchairs that go on the beach. I only saw the 2 but it's something. Extremely clean and the business area up the street is wonderful. It's true beach scenery.

For so many decades I have visited Delaware Beach Parks but this is my first time at Fenwick. Thank goodness someone had the foresight to claim this gorgeous strip of oceanic seaside for the public! Wide, generous sandy strips of shore frame the playful and at times, violent, Atlantic Ocean. This is why we come to the beach ( yes, you must call it BEACH in Delaware even if you’re from NJ!) this is why shared public space is so necessary for the vast majority of citizens. Tranquility, nature’s finest, a grand communal place all here for a modest entrance fee. Love Delaware!

Beautiful beach to enjoy amazing sunset or sunrise. Moreover it is not too crowded one mile north and you are in Ocean City.

Great day on the beach with out furbaby Jasmine. This was her first beach day and wasn't disappointed. Had a great day meeting new furry friends and people. She was completely wiped out by the end of our day. Would definitely recommend to anyone who considers their furbaby a part of the family!

I have loved this beach for years &, now that I’m 85, I love it even more. I wouldn’t be able to even be on a beach if I didn’t have use of the rollout sidewalk & sand wheelchairs that you have. Thank you so much! Also, the cleanliness of your ladies’ room is very appreciated. I will always tell people about how wonderful Fenwick State Park/Beach is!

Stayed at a motel nearby. Only went to the beach at night so didn't swim, but it was lovely. Nice sand, very pretty.

Nice beach. Not that crowded. Had an area for trucks to drive down closer on the beach. There were also areas with and without lifeguards. Concession stand, bath house for cleanup and changing. Great find on the way to Bethany.
