Great old fashioned food! I love the burgers and rootbeer floats. The service was excellent also.

Just note that it's cash only.

So happy to see an A&W. Haven't had an A&W root beer float in 30+ years. Very nostalgic. Typical drive in, but they also have some great seating on picnic tables available. Highly recommend.

The root beer float was good and the service was great. I highly recommend it although it is not the healthiest.

Love this place! It feels like a journey back into time. The service is great along with the food! And of course the root beer floats are fantastic.

If you want that retro drive up and be served a delicious root beer float experience then come here! The staff are super helpful (even when there was a spill in my car) and friendly.
There are bathrooms on site and a picnic area for those who don't want to eat in their car. There are lawn games for kids (or fun adults) too.

I drove up from MA yesterday, and couldn't wait to get a pulled pork sandwich from AW... Great tasking... but its not the food, its the wonderful service staff that makes the place special... The two, long time servers are great... they make the place special... and that's why when I'm in the area, I'll always stop by...

Great burgers. I had the "big burger," delicious; bun got a little wet/smushed because the burger was so big and juicy, but not so much as to impact the enjoyment. Friendly cheerful service, short wait for the food.

They gave us a free root beer we hadn't ordered, as well (probably by accident). Fries were good and fresh. Place has toys for my nephews to play with in the grass while we waited; football, horseshoes, soccerball, etc. ... drinks cold and refreshing, nice shady seats under the tree.

Route 7 is a little close so the cars and trucks driving by can be a little loud and annoying. Tables were all nice and clean, except for the one we sat at had some sticky ice cream spilled on it, but we should have noticed that, all the other tables were nice and clean.

The key factor that made this 5 stars instead of 4: when you ask for mayo, they give you a nice big plastic cup container of mayo, cold from the fridge, with the snap cap, not a handful of warm mayo packets.

Favorite summer drive in. Servers are always terrific!!! Food is always hot and tasty. Root beer floats are perfect on a hot day or any other day really.

Very good food here. Not like the a&w experience I had in the Western states.

This is like a different restaurant.

And of course, root beer floats.

Not super expensive for what you're getting.

The options of trays on the windows and drinks in glass mugs are back at the Middlebury A&W! (One can still choose to have the to-go bags/packaging).

Great food as always! lovely waitress very polite and the food came extremely fast. I love the idea of the bags for the food instead of trays on your window, unfortunately That's one of the greatest parts about A&W was the old fashion way to serve with trays. Covid has made a mess of alot of things I'm extremely proud to see that A&W has been able to make it possible to be open and safe for ALL!! Awesome work A&W everyone loves you👍🙌

Been coming here every summer, all my life. Love it! Classic Drive-in Curb Service where you order from, and food is brought to, your car window. Picnic tables too, or order-to-go.

Felt safe during COVID because they set up cones for social distance parking spots and the staff wears masks.

Awesome corn dogs and onion rings, and of course the root beer floats are epic. Shaded seating area in the trees is very nice.

Delicious! A great place for lunch on a lazy, warm, Sunday afternoon.

Always Good Food! I used to eat the cheese burgers and onion rings but now it seems beef bugs me. The deep fried cheese bites are always so good that we order two sets so we can have leftovers at home, th hey reheat well in the oven. The onion rings never let me down, they are so good! The chicken strips are better than those from 'B king'.

Love this place and was so glad to make it down there before end of season.

Finding out they are cash only but told to "just pay us back on you next visit" since we only had $20 cash is going above and beyond (even though they had an ATM on premises)
