Upland Columbus Pump House

Food was top notch. Everything we had was fantastic. Our server was a little ditzy and didn't seem real appreciative, but the atmosphere was very well designed. Rustic but yet modern and such an excellent scene next to the White River.

Jess was a fantastic server! It was more like coming to her house as a friend. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the beers. We had a delicious meal and great visit! We highly recommend the porter, the dragonfly ipa and the salmon blt. 🍺 😋

We did wait a while but they were really busy. Despite the wait, our waitress was friendly and attentive. My husband loved the pork chop and my steak & frites were delicious! Their champagne velvet beer was my favorite

I walked into the lobby it was warm, inviting with easy the access and well kept bathrooms. I took time to read the board from local growers. I looked around the bar and dinning room then made my way to be seated. I was receved very politely and was provided good seating based on what I requested for 1. My server Sydney was very attentive and a good sense of humor, just what I was looking for. Her recommendations were spot on and I received all of them for dinner. The food is very good and the staff was even better. Definitely A place I would like to come back to in the future!

A perfect afternoon break, I popped in to Upland after checking out the adjacent bridge and enjoyed a beer before continuing my journey. Sitting at the bar, I found a power outlet and connected to the wifi for an hour or so.

Quiet, comfortable, great service and the beer was refreshing.

Stopped by here after a dog show with our dog on 9-24-23 and we ate outside on their awesome above ground patio (they also have a ramp for wheelchair access). We went to the patio directly from the parking lot. You just walk around to the backside of it and you'll see a wide ramp that is large enough for cars and you walk up a few ramps to the patio. We called ahead to make sure they allowed dogs. Very friendly staff, awesome, tasty food and really wonderful ambiance. They play music as well. The patio is great and the inside was really cool also (checked that out to and from the restroom). We both ordered pizzas (I think 14in) and shared spinach artichoke dip. Yum! Our dog is a show/sports and performance dog so my daughter SkyeIar put on 2 little performances (for free of course) for everyone to be able to have some fun. New people came and others left so she did it twice. Also some staff missed the 1st perf. so she did it again. She showed off some tricks a 3rd time right before we left for a couple that had just arrived. P.S. Skye's dog is a female Boykin Spaniel named Emi and they have an IG account if you want to follow them. Boykin.freestyle.101 on IG. Almost forgot, the staff gave her a water bowl also. They are amazing and so accommodating. I was very impressed with absolutely everything. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We hosted our wedding reception in the room downstairs at Upland. The service was fantastic, it was an intimate setting that made for a really lovely reception. The food was AMAZING. Our guests raved about the food to the extent that it was a highlight of the whole experience for them. Highly recommend. Many thanks to the Upland staff for helping to make our day perfect.

Saturdays & Sundays 11-2 is Brunch. Everything on the menu is delicious. If it's a nice day sit out on the patio!

We love Upland! Its our favorite place to eat in Columbus. We love the location, all the friendly staff and that focus is on locally sourced food. We eat here a minimum of 1x a week but honestly usually 2x a week for lunch & dinner and then we will also go for brunch on Saturday or Sunday.

Everything we've had is delicious and we've tried many things on the menu. I don't think you can go wrong with any of it. We love the pretzel w/beer cheese & ipa hot mustard as and appetizer. We've also tried the nachoes & Indiana tomato pie both are good as well we just prefer the pretzel, it's huge and we love it and so do our kids. My husband always gets the beer roasted salmon and occasionally the fish and chips. If we go on oyster night he will also get some Oysters, they are $2 per osyter.. He loves the DragonFly IPA & Bloodymarys as well. My personal fav is the Steak & potatoes, I always request extra potatoes bc they are so good, it comes with mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes (i do not like sweet potatoes but i like theirs!). I also rly enjoy the pork tenderloin sandwich & sweet plum burger. Our kids usually get a burger or pizza. We've tried all 3 pizzas and all 3 are delicious but our personal favs are The Ron Swason and Margherita. We also all love their beer battered fries, they are so good with the perfect flavor and crispness.

All 3 dessert options are fantastic as well.

The brunch is amazing too so make sure and don't sleep on it. We've had basically everything on the brunch menu. Our favs are breakfast pizza and French toast. The bloodmarys at brunch are the best!

The patio seating is dog friendly and just opened back up for the year/season so we can't wait to come and eat on the patio, enjoy the view, and maybe bring a few of our furbabies.

You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu!

All the staff are so cool, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The atmosphere, location and building are all the best. They also have plenty of FREE parking.

They have lots of options and offer vegetarian and gluten free options as well.

I really cannot say enough GREAT things about Upland Columbus.

10/10 recommend for food, friendliness and atmosphere.

A MUST when in Columbus IN. The Nachos as a starter was filling and the fresh japalenos were really hot. The burgers were very tasty and cooked as ordered. Go try it you wont be disappointed.

Firstly, whoever thought that blue cheese was a good idea in that flavorless coleslaw clearly had no consideration for humanity...but different strokes, right? Upland was an overall pleasant experience, though: the portions were generous, the service was fast and the food itself was quite delicious! Their Sweet Plum burger was absolutely perfect!

A couple of suggestions:
1. When getting the Sweet Plum burger, if you don't like mixing sweet and savory, just order the plum sauce on the side.

2. I think the coleslaw works well solely as a "crunch factor" in a burger/sandwich à la their Hot Chicken Sandwich, but (to me) there's not enough flavor for it to be a stand-alone side dish.

Excellent food in Columbus Indiana. We were returning from Bloomington, IN and stopped here for dinner. We weren't disappointed. The food was good and service was excellent.

Stopped in for lunch while on vacation. The building is really interesting, but we chose to eat on the patio. Even though it's not too far from the road the noise wasn't bothersome. The food was excellent and the service was stellar. Three of us ate for 50 bucks, which I thought was pretty fair. Will definitely go again when I'm in the area.

Good Upland food and beer in a unique venue by the river. Good service, clean, food is just like the other locations.

Great little spot along the river. Had the Dragonfly IPA. Decent flavor and holiness. Had a great conversation with Jess. Nice upscale atmosphere with great views. Railroad tracks across parking lot entrance provide opportunity for train enthusiasts to spot one pass by.

We loved everything about this place! The staff was great, the menu was full of great ideas and fresh takes on old classics. The beer was fantastic and we’ll need to find a reason to come back to Columbus, IN just so we can stop. Patio is dog friendly and a really beautiful view.

The Columbus Pump House! It's a total gem that's got it all - excellent design and a fantastic vibe. And when it comes to food and drink, they know what they're doing. You can chow down on some delicious burgers made with local meats, scarf down some pizza, and even share some appetizers with your buds. And if you're in the mood for something lighter, their salads are top-notch. Trust me, this place is the real deal.

Stopped on our way to Florida for dinner in January. Easy on and easy off. Warm atmosphere. Large portions and good prices. Prompt staff. Very good beer selections. Dragon fly and wheat were tasted and approved. Comfortable table and chairs. Just good.

Everytime I'm in town, I have to make this spot a destination to eat. I haven't had anything bad to eat from here. Food is always fresh. Service is always on point. Nice room amd spacious seating. I got the spinach and artichoke dip. Tasted like they picked everything in the garden outside and made it fresh in the building. I prefer the warm pita bread as a change of pace to just tortilla chips. Also I ordered the salmon BLT! When I say delicious amd so tender. Salmon so fresh! Taste like it was caught today and prepared on the boat. Love getting a flight of their fresh made beer. Never a disappointment when I go. Service is always on point. Definitely a hidden gem in Columbus, Indiana.

Great food and beer. Friendly server. Had the Sweet Plum burger (bison) and blue cheese cole slaw. Everything was excellent. Also tried two of their on tap sour beers: Peach and Revive. Both were excellent. The Revive was particularly good. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed.

Visiting my son and he took me here for dinner. The food was outstanding. I had the pulled pork and had the pizza. Both were fantastic. My side was the Cole slaw and I do not recommend, it was very bland.

Would highly recommend.
