This is such an amazing dining experience! The food is delicious, and the experience of going to a restaurant that seems frozen in time is so unique. I loved it here when I was little and I absolutely loved getting to take my kids here in vacation

After leaving a wedding next door, we decided we’d go for a sweet treat at Zaharakos. My lady and I were all dressed up, and given phenomenal service by the two ladies at the bar top. One of their names was Lillie. Actually, after our dinner, Lillie was kind enough to go outside in 30 degree weather to take multiple photos of us. Afterwards, she expressed the internal satisfaction it gave her to do this for us. Thank you Lillie for making our experience special!

A true step back into a simpler time. Fascinating displays of a time when even service machines were built with a sense of detail unheard of today. The fountains could stand alone as works of art. Everywhere you looked, the customers were smiling.

We hosted our Co Christmas party at Zaharakos & specifically picked the evening of Columbus' Festival of Lights parade. We rented the Green River Room upstairs with windows facing the parade, which comfortably fit our group of 60. The planning was made easy, by Carol who let us customize our buffet options. We had a selection of chicken tenders, Tenderloin sandwich & Gom cheese brr grr (aka sloppy Joe) served with french fries, Mac and cheese, green beans & salad with a sundae bar. We received excellent service & communication the whole way through. This was an hour drive for our team but it was definitely worth the drive. Carol went above & beyond to make sure everyone could easily get there (due to street closures for the parade.) I was very impressed with the food & service & of course the gorgeous venue, rich in history.

Yes I will have an old fashioned soda shop with a slice of Americana.
The Nickelodeon/ Calliope is LOUD but thoroughly enjoyed it. Soda floats and malts in any flavor you could want. Food was fresh and served Fast. Chairs have small seats.

What a very nice vintage soda shop with incredible tasting ice cream. I love the chocolate and cookies and cream. I didn't eat the food this time, but they definitely have a great menu.

We just went for ice cream, so I can't speak to the food, but it was a really fun place! They have these fun music machines in the back that'll play for a quarter and my 5 year old loved them!

This is a really cool experience. I felt like I was back in the 1900s with the music and style of the restaurant. They also have old soda fountains and jukeboxes that make their own music. Ice cream was really good as well I got the classic banana split I would recommend to share it as its huge.

Like a lot of places in Columbus, the architecture is *chef's kiss*. Cute old-fashioned soda shop with a player piano and great original decor. The GOM (sloppy Joe) was hardy and delicious, the homemade cherry soda float was amazing. I would go back to Columbus just for this restaurant.

Great service. Historic building, amazing musical machines and fountains. Ask for a tour if the staff isn't too busy. Priceless.

Great experience here. Great food and cold treats. The small museum of old soda fountains were so cool to see. Highly recommend!

I love the antique music boxes. The food is okay traditional American, nothing too exciting, but the atmosphere and ice cream are spectacular.

Literally thee best ice cream you’ll find in Columbus, IN. Always a pleasant experience and worth the wait.

Visiting Columbus and stopped in for a dessert. Both of us enjoyed the sundae with raspberry chocolate chip ice cream and hot fudge. Definitely recommended. Also, save a few minutes to look at the soda fountain museum section in the room next to the main dining area. It's a wonderful display of a bygone era.

I've been visiting here since I was a very young child, so many fantastic memories! I'm happy to see that it's been well preserved and remains a local icon. My mom said she used to come here for milkshakes during her teenage years . Amazing history. Prices remain affordable and the food was great.

My wife and I had a great lunch, and delicious single dip sundae! Our server Emily was friendly, quick to take our order, and brought our food out as soon as it was ready. The food came out in a timely manner, and was cooked and made as ordered. I really enjoyed my burger, and my wife enjoyed her turkey club sandwich. My sundae was brought out quickly after we finished eating and was delicious! I can't wait untill we can make it back!

Such a fun place to visit, it’s not just an eatery, it’s an entire experience!! The ice cream is definitely worth the trip to this must see gem. The food is very good!! Grilled tenderloin and sloppy Joe grilled cheese, two of our favs! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the place. If you are looking for an unforgettable road trip destination, look no further, just get in your car and go!! You’ll be back!!

My wife and I were driving around and decided to get some food. Having been here before, we knew it would be the place to satisfy our cravings.
We were seated immediately and given our menus. Knowing my wife, she got chili cheese fries as an appetizer. The fries came out shortly after and were delicious, having a pretty great ratio of chili and cheese to fries.
For our entrées, I got a chicken sandwich and she got a pork tenderloin sandwich. To be honest, the sandwiches were pretty standard fare, but we weren't there for the sandwiches. The dessert is why we came and the food was the afterthought.
We got the brownie sundae and it was worth every bit of diabetes. The brownie was soft and it had chocolate chips and the ice cream was a perfect ratio of vanilla to hot fudge.
Overall, Zarahakos is a must go to when we are in the area!

This is THE CUTEST parlor. Jennifer was our server and she did an amazing job. She was so friendly, attentive, and enjoyed being there, which made us enjoy it even more. The ice cream was the best I’ve ever had and the ambiance is really special. This was my first time and I cannot wait to go back and try more foods!!

EMILY was the bomb. She's the best server! So helpful. Even though they were under- staffed, and she was very busy.
Ice cream was homemade. The sloppy Joe...I didn't like at all...I should've gotten the tenderloin that I wanted.
This place hits ALL your senses.
