We had a very comfortable and relaxed stay at this beautiful antique home. The mountain views were breathtaking from morning to night. The property has beautiful gardens and charming outbuildings. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed and lovely amenities of natural fragranced body wash and shampoo. It’s blissfully quiet, clean and welcoming. We had a wonderful family stay and the hosts couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and gracious.

My partner and I had a lovely time at Whitford House. The house was beautifully decorated as a classic New England home. The bed was very comfortable and the water ran hot with good water pressure. The tub is elegant and invites you for a long deep relaxing soak. The house is located nearby numerous delicious restaurants (~20 minute) like Tourterelle, the Bobcat, and Antidote. We enjoyed a speculator viewing of the 2024 Eclipse in the vast scenic farm fields of our backyard! We were surrounded by nature, and Jeff the host kindly took us on a quick walk to a cattail-lined pond where the red-winged black birds were darting about. Jeff was a very helpful, attentive, and communicative host! He helped us decide on which mountain would be the best to visit given the late session; we landed on snowboarding at Sugarbush which was ~50 minutes away. Jeff very kindly offered us a continental breakfast, which was completely unexpected but a tasty welcome! I look forward to coming back soon and picking up where we left off in the picturesque landscapes of Vermont.

We had a great stay at Whitford House, guest house. After having travelled for several weeks, we wanted to relax at a more remote location but not be cut off from comfort. The guest house did just that. Provides spacious room, wonderful views and absolute silence at night. And most of all, Jeff made us feel as if we were visiting old friends. Lots of suggestions for day trips and good restaurants. And good music! Thanks Jeff for having us.
Definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a splendid stay at the Whitford House and would highly recommend it as a lovely place to rest and recharge while exploring the many quaint towns of Southern Vermont! Jeff is very accommodating and was full of wonderful suggestions for our stay, including special hidden gems that we would not have otherwise discovered. The guest cottage was immaculately furnished, quiet, and comfortable, and the local breakfast provided each morning was truly a delight. We enjoyed visiting with Jeff and learning more about the area! Looking forward to returning.

Looking for a view of the Green Mountains of Vermont in a beautifully groomed landscape as well as accommodations, the Whitford House, guesthouse, was perfect for our 4 night stay. Breakfast made by owners, Jeff and Mary Jane, and their truly excellent hospitality, conversations with other guests, was quite a beautiful experience. In our case, we needed to be near Middlebury, 20 minutes away, to be near family. I can assure you that your stay at Whitford House or the Twin View Barn would not disappoint you. It’s beautiful, friendly, great location for seeing how the Vermonters get to view and live every day! Excellent recommendation.

We had a lovely stay at the Whitford House! Jeff was so welcoming, the area gorgeous, and the room was super charming with an extremely comfy bed. We were there for a few days for work in the area, and it was a wonderful place to come back to in between busy days for some peace and rest. Thank you for your hospitality!!

Jeff was super welcoming and the cottage was spacious very clean and had the most comfortable king size bed around. The views were spectacular and the breakfast was superb. The best thing about this place was the privacy factor and the easy way to access the property as there were no stairs to worry about which was important to me as my ability to walk is difficult and I use a Kane. Will definitely return next year.

What a gem! We loved staying in the guest house for 5 days while on our babymoon. The view is breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great, even at 6 months pregnant. Jeff and Mary Jane were very kind. We highly recommend staying here for a quiet get away!

My husband and I stayed at The Whitford House this past weekend. We could not have enjoyed our vacation away more. Jeff and his wife's hospitality was beyond amazing and the guesthouse itself was the most perfect place to stay. The guesthouse had everything we needed, had the most beautiful views, and was so relaxing. Jeff let us borrow his snowshoes to go around the property. He also gave us a ton of great food and activity recommendations around the area. The breakfasts he provided were so fresh and so delicious. Everything was wonderful! Would highly recommend staying here!

The guesthouse was cozy and the perfect spot to relax after a day of hiking. We look forward to returning!

We stayed at Twin View Barn while moving our first child into college and it was just perfect. Jeff was so helpful from the moment I reached out - helping find dates that worked for our visit, recommending restaurants and sites to visit and providing other insider tips. The barn was charming and rustic and comfortable. It had everything you needed and the views of the mountains and farming fields were idyllic. It was also perfectly located between many interesting sites in Vermont. Jeff and Mary Jo were very welcoming and helpful and we plan to stay with them many times over the next few years as we visit our son. Thank you again.

Whitford House was delightful. We were a family of four, so two of us were in the bedroom, and the other in cots in the Living Room. It worked out fine. Terrificly clean, lovely furnishings and accessories. Beautiful artwork. he view from Whitford House is outstanding and the location as quiet as can be.
Jeff is a gracious proprietor.

I spent 3 nights at the Whitford House this month (July 2019) with my 9 year old grandson. I appreciated how gracious Jeffrey and Mary Jane were during our stay, always making us feel at home and welcome. The property in located on a rural country road in a quaint and quiet setting with views of the Adirondack Mountains. The beds were very comfortable, and Jeffrey provided a thoughtful and healthful breakfast everyday. I recommend visiting this lovely B&B for a true taste of Vermont.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. We had such a wonderful experience at the Whitford House in mid July. Jeff and Mary Jane have thought of everything to give guests a comfortable stay. As we are early risers, Jeff provided us with a french press and freshly ground coffee . He wanted to make sure to grind the coffee at night so it would still be fresh in the morning--this is the level of details they thought of. They were very helpful with suggestions of hikes, restaurants or other activities. The setting is beautiful with the view of the mountains--we enjoyed eating our hearty breakfast and drinking our coffee in the Adirondack chairs looking out over at the mountains. Although just my husband and I, I plan on bringing our teenagers back to stay at the Barn.

What a wonderful stay we had at the Whitford house. Located just outside of Middlebury, the spot is ideally located for excursions to various locations including hiking and exploring. Jeff is an amazing host and provided delicious breakfast and many insider tips on the best things to do on a rainy fall weekend in Vermont. Did I mention the delicious breakfast? Pears from the property’s own trees, steal cut oats, farm-fresh eggs, and more await. There are 3 adorable sheep and a fire pit as well with a view of the stars on a clear night. A much-needed escape from the city during crazy times. We will be back!

The Whitford House is a phenomenal getaway tucked away in Addison, VT, a short 20 min drive from Middlebury and an hour to Burlington. From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed and at home. We stayed in the beautiful guest house which was large and spacious with a comfortable king sized bed, lounge chairs, kitchen, and full bathroom with a great clawfoot bath tub. The property is gorgeous and Jeff, the owner, made us feel right at home (while maintaining excellent cleanliness, distance and safety in the time of COVID). You truly feel like you're alone in the middle of the woods- take a walk at night and see the most gorgeous starry sky! Breakfast was delicious and timely, everything we needed was easily accessible, and the Whitford Inn provided the perfect romantic getaway for me and my boyfriend. I can't wait to go back!

I had the best time staying at Twin View Barn, and hope to come back again and again! Jeff was incredibly welcoming, and the barn was the perfect place to relax, play some guitar, and take in the beautiful views.
