AAA-Superior Construction

I contacted Superior Construction and four other contracting companies for some soffit work and new gutters. I met with Carmine from Superior who gave me a quote.
I felt very comfortable with Carmine, he seamed very honest, was very personable unlike the other companies that I contacted. Without any hesitation I went with Superior signing a contract with them.
As promised, they were done in two days. The two workers working on the job were great, they did a fabulous job, kept work site clean, it was nice talking to them during the two day project.
I have zero complaints and will definitely use Superior again and would have no problem recommending them to family or friends.

After our tried and true contractor of many years retired, we were left searching for someone new to do minor outdoor repairs to our 1920's home. Superior has been great! From estimate, which was given on site and was very reasonable, to completed projects we were extremely satisfied. They rebuilt concrete steps, replaced rotting wood, power washed roofs and removed all debris. The crew was courteous, pleasant and did great clean-up. They showed up on time and completed the work exactly as described, addressing our unique concerns and treating our older construction with thought & care.

I hired AAA Superior to clean my gutters in my home. The employees were on time and very courteous. The job was performed precise and on a timely matter. The prices were reasonable compared to other local companies. If you want your gutters cleaned correctly and professionally i would recommend AAA Superior Construction hands down.

I have used the services of this company for the 3rd time. I've never bothered to write a review until now. I called for my moms home she needed a chimney repair. The men showed up on time were respectful and did a wonderful job. My mom was told by another company that she needed $5,800 in repairs. It turned out she only needed $1,100 in brick work. Company is easy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to refer them.

AAA Superior Construction lived up to their name. They gave me a reasonable estimate to clean the gutters on our house and showed up reliably for the estimate and the job. I am very happy with the result!

Superior construction were the only company who would return my call or come out within the month and they did their best to fit me in once they heard what was going on. They were responsive and very helpful when dealing with a leaking chimney.

I can only say one thing....⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤.the best company I've ever seen and he takes So much pride in the Job...and what a savings. 💲...i Googled chimney Leaking..and we need to thank God for the web.i see that I'm not the only one who has been living with a leak.Well thank God I found Aaa superior Chimney....and we are using the Fireplace and now with the lock top damper nothing get in at all .and it's over ..thank you so much ....

I had an issue with an unfinished work with this company.
I contacted Mark the owner and he corrected the situation.

I hired this company to do work on a a piece of my soffit and to install gutters on my roof. Not even two months after the work was done. The soffit portion that they so called fixed came a loose and now is deteriorating do to the work not being properly done and now animals have made a nest there. This was poor quality and workmanship. In addition, now the gutter that was installed on my roof is coming apart and is lifting the shingles and causing damage to that portion or my roof. I reached out to Carmine several times and was given broken promises that he would fix the job for my soffit. Well it's now four months later and still no word from him or anyone from this company. I'm very disappointed and frustrated because I paid for a service to that was not properly done. Apparently I may have to hire someone else to correct their mistakes. I would not recommend or use their services ever again since they do not honor a contract and stick by their work If a problem occurs.

I used this company back in November to December of 2017 they came to do a chimney cleaning and informed me that my chimney needed to be relined to be up to code and that it was a fire hazard the way it was. I agreed and gave a deposit for the work. It took a couple of weeks and multiple cancellations before they finally arrived. They seemed to have a lot of trouble getting the first side of the chimney lined and when they were finally finished were packing up to leave when I asked about the second side which was also part of the quoted estimate. They begrudgingly performed the lining of the second side and also repointed the top half of our chimney. Fast forward to this past weekend and I had a cleaning done by another company who informed me that the liner used was a rigged liner which does not allow for easy or proper cleaning. And the liner in the chimney for the furnace had been broken and improperly repaired and also that the connection where the liner entered the furnace room was improperly installed and was allowing carbon monoxide to escape. On top of that, all of the pointing had deteriorated and that the chimney now requires rebuilding. Permits were never pulled because they knew their work would never pass an inspection. Avoid this company at all cost.

I called this company for a chimney inspection on a home I plan on purchasing. This is a very unprofessional company. They’ve called us to reschedule twice. They have also CANCELED on the day of the appointment because their camera was down the day of the appointment. The contractor on the phone would not even give a proper estimated time of arrival, and also spoke with a disgusting tone over the phone. Just an overall poor experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone under the sun.

We sold our former home in Berkeley Hts., NJ, on July 11, 2017. Couple weeks before the closing, we unexpectedly found out that we were not allowed to close the deal because the 2009 installer of the new roof failed the inspection and never closed the permit due to some problems with the roof ventilation. That company does not exist anymore. So we needed to urgently find out somebody to correct the problem.

My wife and I, both 80+ years old, now live 85 miles north of the place. Still, on June 28 we met on the spot with Mr. Deegan of the Deegan Roofing Co., showed him the inspector’s report of 2009 and asked for his advice. He told that it was not a big deal – a work of two people for the most part of a day – and promised to give the estimation. Because he delayed the estimation, our real estate agent gave as a card of AAA Superior Construction, and I called them and faxed the inspector’s report. On June 29th Chris of that company promised to give estimation the next morning and to immediately start the work if we approve.

He called on June 30 when I headed for an urgent appointment with my cardiologist (I had 2 stents implanted the next day after the closing) and was not in the condition for the detailed discussion, still not having the promised Deegan’s estimation. There was the following conversation with Chris:
“The price will be six thousand…”
Me: “What?!”
He: “Or, no, no, no! I mistakenly took another project. Just $3,800.”

It also seemed to me too expensive but I was not in a position to seek another company and authorized the repair. Later that day the estimation from Deegan arrived, and it was just $1,500. I sent the estimate to the AAA Company and requested a partial refund. They flatly refused.

When I asked for explanation of the so huge difference, the owner Mark wrote that they had been ready to do the work rapidly and to meet the closing deadline. But, first, the closing could be postponed. Second, I would understand that the urgency could cost extra $200-300, but by no means extra $2,300!

During our 36 years of that house’s ownership we had never encountered so huge overpricing. It is obviously that the AAA Superior Construction just used our inability to check proper pricing. When I wrote Mark that we may dispute the charge through our VISA card, he replied: “I will be filing charges for theft of services”. Using the same language, I would say that the company has made a theft of our money.

I will file complaints with the BBB and with other organizations.

They were hired to fix two leaks in my home. They did not fix one leak. Poor craftsmanship. Poor customer service
