Lawrenceburg BMV Branch

Having moved from Kentucky ( I dealt with.BMV for 25+ years) where you STAND in line for an hour while two people actively help customers and six others stand around talking in background, Dearborn County BMV was great. You SIT and wait to be called by anywhere from 4-8 workers. When I transferred my car, KY couldn't find record of my car to fax to Indiana. I made 4 trips to Burlington, KY to Lawrenceburg trying to get it figured out. Finally BMV worker in Indiana called KY and told them I am not hanging up until you give me confirmation on this. Don't hang up. Don't put me on hold. Get up and go find these papers and send them to me instead of having him drive back and forth repeatedly. I will hold until you do. About 8 minutes later KY magically found what they needed and faxed it. Dearborn BMV couldn't have been more helpful. They've always been quick and friendly when I've gone in over the past 8 years.

I came from Ohio to Indiana several years ago. The times I’ve had to go to this BMV. I have found they have been just wonderful to work with. Everyone has always been very friendly and extremely helpful.

I go to Lawrenceburg, Ind BMV for ALL my vehicle needs, they are nice, accommodating and willing to help with whatever you need done. I live in Rising Sun and go down to Lawrenceburg …I like have smiling faces to wait on me ..NOT frowns…..❤ Lawrenceburg BMV

Wow, that was the most expedient experience I’ve ever had at a BMV, and the most pleasant. I groaned as I pulled up when there was a line out of the door, and inwardly cringed considering that this was during a pandemic and they would have limited capacity.

The place exceeded my expectations. The line moved right along, the greeting person was professional and swift, and the person who processed all my paperwork was pleasant and efficient. I was in an out in about 30 minutes on a Thursday at 2pm. Not sure if that’s the golden hour but perhaps I was just lucky.

They were quick and very helpful. Parking was adequate. Quick in quick out.

This is a government office, so I didn't have high hopes for it. I went on a Saturday since I needed to retake the written test because my out of state license had expired and was pleased. It was busy, but they moved everyone through very quickly. I couldn't get my license because of some guidelines from HLS, but the staff was nice about it and very apologetic.
My only complaint is I thought they'd call me back to do the written test, so I waited about 5 minutes before I realized I could just go sit at an open computer. It's just something they should have said directly.

There was no wait, and Lauren and Roberta were awesome!!

Very efficient. I had to go 2 times in a week for ID's for my children. Both times the wait was very small. They are quick and on point. It didn't take long at all and overall we were very satisfied with our service!

Very busy, however still quickly got through everyone. They are friendly and professional

We misplaced our registration so had to get a replacement. They have a 24/7 kiosk in the lobby. 5+++ stars for the fact that we could go there and use the kiosk on a SUNDAY afternoon and it printed out our new registration right there. So great!

I took my son to get his driver's license today. We got there at 8:15 because I knew business is nonstop right now due to covid. There were 4-5 people waiting in front of us. The doors opened at 8:30, they allowed only people being helped to enter the building. Once they opened, things moved much faster than I've ever experienced at any BMV branch. So props to them for their efficiency!

Today I panicked because my husband's license registration came in but not mine. My birthday was a couple weeks ago and I didn't even think about my new plate sticker. I knew my husband sent it in. Turns out he mistakenly (God love 'im) only ordered his own. 🤔 Thankfully, I had time today to go to the BMV. I usually get some measure of anxiety going to government based institutions - the employees have often been cold at best. The girl that helped me was SO friendly and helped get my sticker at the kiosk so I could get it today instead of waiting for it in the mail. I didn't check her name, I wish I had. A great day at the BMV.... I've possibly never said that before!

Lawrenceburg branch is one of my favorite branches all of the employees are very welcoming and have great personalities and there service is always as quickly as it can be

Sorry fast and courteous. The guy at Booth 3 is as great as they come regarding customer service!

Did not have to wait long. Had my questions answered quickly and clearly.
