Dr. Carter has to be one of the most wonderful, compassionate, knowledgeable, and friendliest doctors I have ever had the pleasure of seeing!
He is so very personable and explained in great detail why he didn’t think I needed a knee revision as the previous orthopedic doctor I saw said was needed.
I was so dreading another excruciating knee surgery, but thanks to Dr. Carter and his expertise and experience he said it would just take time for the pain in my knee to dissipate after falling on it last August.
If you are facing joint replacement, I definitely recommend having Dr. Carter do it!

Dr Carter dud a redo on my hip that another Dr did a lousy job. I can now walk and he fixed my muscle that was cut off. Thanks to him I can walk and pain is gone. He is fantastic a d I highly recommend him to anyone who wants a good job done. 👏

I am very happy with my experience with Dr Josh Carter and the Midwest Specialty Surgery Center! Everyone was very professional and caring. Any questions I had were answered immediately. If I called and left a message, they responded that day. My surgery went very well! My recovery is going good too!

I had my initial appointment today with Dr. Carter. Right away they put me at ease! Dr. Carter was super personable and took his time to explain the full on process of my upcoming surgery, the before, during and after. Answered all of my questions and those questions that my husband had, as well. I feel very comfortable with him and I know that he will do what is right for me!

Dr. Carter performed revision knee surgery on my husband. This means Dr. Carter had to completely redo a wonky knee replacement, a prior surgeon (not associated with anyone in Dr. Carter’s office) had performed ten months earlier. Dr. Carter did a fantastic job! My husband didn’t have to use a walker or cane for very long this time. He recovered much faster. We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Carter. By the way all the staff, nurses, etc., at Dr. Carter’s office are excellent.

Dr. Carter was tremendously helpful at my appointment. He had all the images he needed, he ordered an additional X-ray, and it became clear very quickly what to do next. He and Danielle were both very professional and encouraging.

Dr. Carter and Adam are the best. Dr. Carter spends quality time with me and i needed an injection so Adam did that for me. He didn’t hurt me at all. They are a great team. The front desk is amazing as well. They are so friendly.

Dr. Carter and the entire staff earn a 5 star review. Dr. Carter is at the apex of his abilities. Great outcomes. Why would you go any place else?! This is what healthcare should be.

Entire staff is kind, caring, courteous and attentive to patients concerns. His PA, Adam, did an excellent job with cortisone injection. Steve quickly scheduled the MRI.

Dr. Carter not only completely rehabilitated my husband’s previously botched knee replacement two years ago, he also saw me for a hip and knee problem, quickly diagnosed it and has me pain free without surgery. I can’t imagine a better doctor for joint issues!

Dr. Carter did my left hip total replacement 4 years ago and did a wonderful job from beginning to end. I was so glad that Dr. Carter was able to do my right hip total replacement 3 months ago with the same great experience. Highly recommend for anyone that is a candidate for anterior joint replacement. His expertise and professionalism are top tier.

All of the staff are so friendly courteous & happy to help you. Dr Carter takes his time to answer any questions you may have to fully understand any procedures. His assistant is a gem as well. I heard & saw great reviews from all patients in the lobby. I can’t wait to have my partial knee replacement by Dr Carter & be rid of my pain. I really recommend this group!!!

So far, I've only had my evaluation visit, but it went well. Everyone was very nice. Dr. Carter went over everything very thoroughly, making sure I understood exactly what to expect. I am hopeful for a good experience with my hip replacement.

I had an anterior hip replacement done by Dr.Carter in September of 2021. To say it has been life changing would be an understatement.I am 59 but before my surgery I walked like I was 89. I did my research for several months to find the best surgeon to do the anterior procedure and I have no doubts I absolutely found the best !!!! I will be forever grateful to Dr.Carter and his entire staff !!! Update: 11-2023, It’s now been 2 years since my hip replacement and it’s doing great !!!! I can’t say enough great things about Dr.Carter and what he did for me!!!!
