Indianapolis Fire Department Station 31

C shift of ladder 31 came to my rescue around 4am the other night. It was a classic "help I've fallen and I can't get up" scenario. These firefighters were beyond awesome, knew exactly what to do, did so quickly, efficiently, and by their actions and calm demeanor made be not only BE safe, but just as importantly FEEL safe!
Big thanks again guys. If I ever get the heck outta my house again you got donuts comin'!

I went to the firehouse at 2 am in an attempt to get a ring cut off. I had to start getting ready for work at 4 and wanted to avoid a long wait in the ER. One of the firefighters came to the door and after we told him what we needed he said….”Let me see if we have the ring cutter” he came back and said the didn’t and we had to go to the hospital. On our way to the hospital we came across the firehouse by the Children’s Museum…the firefighter that answered the door welcomed us in and cut the ring off without any hesitation, it was less than 5 minutes and we were out the door. I did a little research and discovered that the small drill is a common tool that is on all the fire trucks. I feel as if our emergency wasn’t important enough for the College Street firefighters and that is why we were dismissed, it’s really sad and disappointing since they are there for the community no matter how big or small the situation may be.
