Long's Bakery

What a hidden gem! So glad I found this place and all the wonders that they make! The yeast and cake doughnuts are the best period! Just don’t be that guy and make sure you bring CASH!

This is the best donut 🍩 shop in Indy, by far! Every type of donut we have tried from Long’s Bakery has been amazing every time! The employees are hard-working and friendly. And their prices are way better than any other bakery or donut shop. If you haven’t tried out Long’s Bakery yet, then you’re seriously missing out!

Just make sure to bring cash… they are a “cash only” establishment.

I have been told to go here by MANY. And WOW I am glad I did. For serving up classic donuts overall (mostly yeast but also some cake options), they have mastered the classics! So many favorites. The classic glazed (you have to ask for as they are in the back), the cinnamon fry / apple fry, the "donut holes" that are like a 6-pack pushed together into one donut, the left area has others like bavarian cream. ALL of what I listed was top notch. Buttery, melts in your mouth, perfection.

Probably not gonna find a place like this with this much fresh variety daily. Old world quality comes with a cash only business.

Be prepared... I'd bring $20 at min. Gonna want to get a little of this and a lot of that!

We drive from the Eastside often to get their Bavarian Filled Donuts and oatmeal pies. Don't forget the Glazed Donut holes though!!

I didn't know this ahead of time, so I'm hoping to help you out.
I've had many doughnuts in my life, but I've never tasted any better than the ones @ Long's Bakery.
If you don't want to take my word for it, look who was parked front and center, lol
I went at an off hour, and they were still busy. The product still tasted phenomenal.
Staff was super nice, and the line moved quickly.

This is a true Indianapolis local favorite. From the outside, you don’t understand the charm of Long’s donuts. On the inside, every sense you have tells you you’ve landed in one of the best donut shops. It’s cash only and there can sometimes be a line out on the sidewalk… So if it’s cold, or raining, dress appropriately.

THE BEST DONUT SHOP IN THE MIDWEST! CASH ONLY! My favorite are the chocolate cake donuts dipped in chocolate & their blueberry cake ones.. The regular yeast glazed are hands down the best ever. Once you have these you’ll never want any other donuts ever again! Open late till 10pm, but the later in the day the less of a selection will be available so the early bird gets the fattest worm here.

Pretty good overall experience. Was going through Indianapolis and heard about this place, so I had to give it a shot. Quick service with great prices. Paid a little over $9 for a dozen of mixed donuts. Just know that this place is CASH ONLY. If you don't have cash, their is a gas station right across the street that has an ATM. The donuts were good but are a tad on the small side. They had some nice texture and of course it was sweet. They make cakes here too!

I don't think there's ever been a time I've been disappointed with Long's. Absolutely the best donuts in town, service is always swift & friendly. Love, love, LOVE this place!!

I went to this highly recommended donut bakery!! Not a donut shop big difference people these young ladies take pride in their pastry an show it by the way they tell you what it is an knowing what they have even though they are not even close to the counter they are even happy to be there at 8pm to serve you donuts or even a wonderful brownie for the two wonderful ladies that helped me and my wife on Thursday I am just a big fluffy guy wanting something sweet

What else can I say... this place is legendary!
I had never heard of Long's Bakery until 17 years ago when I started pastoring a church in Indianapolis. When day I decided to get some donuts from another place before our Sunday service. No one would touch them, telling they only eat Long's.
Well, it didn't take me long to figure out why. They are a delicious treat but horrible as a diet plan 😆

The absolute most delicious, cannot eat just one, mouth watering doughnut I have ever eaten in my life! When you walk in the place smells amazing. It is clean and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It is a must visit place for your 🍩 🍩 doughnut crave!! Bet you can't eat just 1!!

The donuts here are cheap and very good. Worth heating up for maybe 7 seconds in the microwave at home if you don't end up getting them hot. Totally different texture. Their yeast donut is light and similar to krispy kreme in texture but better and slightly more substantive. Cash only.

Hands down amazing. Best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever had. The donuts were so light and airy. Cash only. Friendly staff. In town for the Steelers game and glad we stopped.

Out of town visitor. Long's is truly one of the world's great donut shops. Nice to see the tradition continuing. Visited on National Donut Day.

I've lived in Indy for 4 years now and have loved it since I moved. While not necessarily slap-your-momma good, their donuts are on another level past Dunkin and the grocery chains. The family has been doing this for decades and it shows. Parking at the 16th St location can be a challenge but that's not their fault. I've had other things there - cookies, brownies, confections - but I go there for the donuts. Their caramel apple fry's with (or without) chopped nuts will have you questioning reality.

Best Yeast donuts in Indianapolis!!! Get ‘em while they’re HOT! Me n my Boyfriends Go to spot Early mornings ! He loves the long John’s with the cream filling! The only thing unfortunately it is a CASH ONLY!!! So make sure to keep Some Cash on u when u do go!!

This is a staple in Indianapolis from at least four decades ..i am not from there but i heard and read about the historic donuts that brought blacks/white together ..and i may add there our fresh and delicious

These are the best donuts in the country. I have eaten donuts everywhere I’ve traveled and these are hands down the best. You have to have them warm and they will melt in your mouth. I always get the yeast and the apple sauce donuts. I live on the west coast, but every time I fly to the Midwest I drive 2 hours just for these donuts. They are just that good.

I was there for my 43rd Birthday this August 30th...i told my wife No cake! I told her I want better than Cake i want Longs!
