The Mocha Nut Coffee Shop

Stopped in for a coffee in between appointments in the area. The atmosphere was quaint and inviting to hangout, visit or do work. It was obviously a college choice for studying. I ordered a Ginger Peppercorn Latte and a Blueberry Muffin. The muffin was so fresh and delicious. The latte was amazing. Definitely the spiciest coffee I have ever had, but it was perfect. It was the best experience having coffee and doing a little work. Definitely will visit again!

Great tasting coffee at around $5 a cup and they have a prime mocha flavored coffee. Plus some interesting special flavors like Miso. And pastries. Warm and cozy dinning areas

Great spot to work remotely. Super friendly baristas, tasty drinks and nice atmosphere. The shop also has a nice retail section, including local honey. Great to have a coffee shop like this in Southport!

THE BEST MOCHA I’VE HAD IN THE WORLD.

I’m dead serious. I’ve been to all 50 states and 23 countries. Mochas are my go to. This place makes their own chocolate sauce and you can definitely tell the difference. I went on a Saturday, and I was super sad that they were closed on Sunday because I would’ve gone back again. Which I never do when I’m traveling because I like to try different places. Very cute on the inside too. Good ambience.

We enjoyed our visit to this small coffee shop, and once inside we realized it’s a lot roomier than we anticipated! Great service, great coffees and beautiful aesthetic!

Had a quick stop here for a coffee. I had a Banana Mocha latte, with so sorry I forgot the name, but they made it in house. It was delicious. And they had Chocolate chip Banana bread. So got my daughter and I a slice for when I got home. And let me tell you, best bread I have ever eaten. Love Love Love it.

Everything from the quality of coffee to the customer service is absolutely superb. My only complaint is that they don't have anything larger than a 20oz and that's only because I never want the delicious-Ness to end. Every employee that I have encountered has been warm and welcoming and really strive to make your experience exceptional. And might I say the little treats are equally delicious. The bana bread is moist and full of flavor. The lemon blueberry muffins are some of the best I've had. I only wish I knew about this spot sooner!!!!

This small nondescript place is a real gem of a find! The coffee is wonderful. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. It is not a fancy place, more warm and cozy. If you want to get some coffee and kick back for awhile, then this is the place to go!

Good coffee, small selection of pastries, great place to post up and do some work. Local business, friendly staff, and actually some great merch if you’re into that! Cold Brew was good, and if you want decaf order an americano, great beans.

The banana chocolate chip bread was also tasty, but $3.50 per slice (very small) seemed a little steep. My 16 oz drink and single slice of banana bread was $13 plus tip 👀

Love their hot chocolate! The workers are always so kind and on top of their job! Such a good place to sit, talk, or do work!

Me and my oldest daughter made our second trip within a month to the Mocha Nut coffee shop today. The service was friendly and welcoming. Upon entering the shop it had a mellow smell of fresh coffee and tea in the air and it was enjoyable for a fellow coffee lover.There is plenty of seating indoors and some seating outdoors. They serve both coffee and teas with many choices for both.. The coffee shop and lot where very clean and tidy. I ordered a plain latte and my daughter ordered a tigers blood iced latte. My latte had just the right blend of boldness without being to strong to the taste. I was very happy with the taste. My daughter said her dragons blood latte was "great". The prices was reasonable and fair. If your in the area I would recommend you to stop by the Mocha Nut and give it a try. FYI I did not get any pictures of the seating areas due to the shop being busy and most seats taken with fellow customers who may not want to have their picture taken..

Substitute my library time for the coffee shop and all I can say was that I was pleased! Pleased by the service provided, the aesthetic of the place, the music while studying. I was there until closing time. I didn’t like my coffee and they genuinely took it back to make me another one at no cost. The girl there was really nice. I definitely recommend this coffee shop. Also get the chocolate banana bread!!! Best one I have had in my whole life.

If you are looking for specialty coffee, Mocha nut is a really good one! I love their coffee and they serve always with a great warm temperature. The staff is very friendly and their pastries are good too. I always go with my children and they are obsessed, they want to go everyday!

I don't live in Indiana but I visit my inlaws in Indianapolis almost monthly. We found the mocha nut almost 2 years ago. I had just started drinking coffee after being a tea drinker. I cannot find a mocha anywhere in Chicago as goog as the mocha nut. And I try new places often. Also the service is amazing. I visit the mocha nut probably 8 times a year and the staff remember me and are so kind and friendly.

My first visit here. I had an extra spicy Chai, which was delicious. There was plenty of seating, nice atmosphere, decent lighting without glare in the wood-and-brick interior. Baristas were friendly, and the restrooms were very clean. Prices about average for any coffee shop. There was a nice selection of muffins and cookies, and even yogurt with granola for something lighter. It did seem to me that there were a lot more beverage selections listed on the on-line menu when I looked it up yesterday than were listed on the menu board, though. The place was hopping, super-busy the whole time I was there for about three hours catching up with a friend. Nostalgic for me, since I hadn't been in the building since back when it was the Greek restaurant! All in all, a good experience.

If you like "real" coffee, artisanal without the price, then this is a place you should stop by. I personally would have liked more privacy in my seating, but when you go to a coffee shop (or any public place) you cant ask for it all. The customers were nice, the staff was helpful and skilled, and the seating was comfortable. Good to have good options around this side of town!
