I’ve attended many funerals in my life either assisting in planning or visiting funeral homes for viewings and services of loved ones. I must say everything about this experience was so positive. The professionalism of the staff was exemplary. While the situation and reason for our meeting and gathering was a difficult and sad, the staff (especially Jeff) made the experience as seamless and pleasant as it could possibly be. Thank you!! This is the only funeral home I will recommend or use.

My mother died 3 weeks ago. We have a large family and appreciated that Jeff only serves one family at a time. Jeff, Catherine and their whole staff took such good care of all of us. From the young man who came to the hospital and treated Mom with such dignity and respect as he gently wrapped her and covered her with a quilt as he transported her to the funeral home, to Catherine, who worked magic to restore Mom to her previous elegance, the three lovely ladies stationed at the door...ready to help with the littlest request, and finally, Jeff who welcomed us all as family and organized a beautiful, meaningful send-off for Mom. I cannot recommend them more highly. I was especially touched by the little things that make the place feel homey. We had little great-grandchildren there and there was a comfortable area hidden away where kids could be kids, with a full kitchen and a place to play cards or read a book and just "escape" for awhile. Jeff has placed some Boston Terrier distractions as well that the kids noticed & enjoyed. Thank you Jeff, Catherine and your full staff for helping make some good memories.

My mother died suddenly earlier this year and I feel lucky to have stumbled on this funeral home, guided by the excellent reviews from previous customers. Jeff was kind and helpful every step of the way. I was so grateful that he knew to check for jewelry the hospital had missed and included her grandmother's ring in with her personal items. She had chosen to be cremated and I live out of state, so I also really appreciated the successful effort to expedite the process so I could bring her remains home myself without having to make a return trip.

They show exceptional compassion. Their service was above and beyond. We had some last-minute changes that they handled without question.

We worked with Lauck and Veldhof on a funeral from out-of-state. My deceased father-in-law’s services were in Indianapolis, and he was coming from New York. Jeff and his staff took care of every detail with utmost care, making this cross-state arrangement seamless and simple. My father-in-law looked incredible at 88 years-old thanks to Catherine. Jeff made sure to include a Rosary in my father-in-law’s hands knowing its importance to us without us even needing to specify it. Other details such as including his name and date of life on the casket added to the exceptional professionalism of the service we received. This was, once again, done without us having to provide direction. Lauck and Veldhof exceeded our expectations. The services were reverent, elegant, and they treated us like family.

Thank you to the entire team at Lauck & Veldhof Funeral Services. Our relationship began in December 2015, when my father suddenly passed. I was taken by surprise when the hospital asked which funeral home we would be contacting....My cousin was there and recommended this place and I am so glad that she did! I failed to write my review after my father's services, but this last week-we called our "friend" Jeff to assist us with my beloved mother's arrangements. He showed up and never left our side! As with my father, he walked us through all of the details of what we needed to do and never batted an eye at ANY of our requests. They lovingly took care of my mother and the details of her funeral. They just handled everything, which is so nice at this dark moment in our lives-to have shining light on this unknown path of sorrow. Jeff, Catherine, and entire staff, we sincerely appreciate you and your genuine compassion and care that you put into each individual that passes through your doors. Our family truly appreciates your knowledge, support, and resources at this most difficult time that EVERYONE will face at some point. We loved how you captured our mother's unique beauty in her presentation, the video, the white gloves....every single detail. There isn’t anything I can think of that I wish had been handled differently for my father’s visitation and funeral. Jeff was genuine and kind and cares about the families he and his staff serve. Such a warm and pleasant experience from the first time we visited for pre-planning and then 5 years later when we needed to care for my father. The home is gorgeous and comfortable and creates an atmosphere that is warm and inviting.

Lauck & Veldhoff funeral home is the best. They were so helpful and walked us through every step of planning a celebration of life. They made the experience of losing a loved one much easier to process. They were very thoughtful and kind. I highly recommend their services.

Jeff and his entire staff were wonderful. We were not sure what to expect as we’ve never planned a funeral, yet his compassion came through in the first phone call. His patience and guidance as we made decisions were appreciated. The entire process was about honoring our brother and Jeff took the time to ask questions to get to know Thad and help us honor his memory. We’ve heard the stories from friends about their experiences elsewhere and how it was about the money. Jeff and his entire team made it about our family and helping us grieve and we never felt it was a push to make money or upsell us on anything. He said he and his team would be there to answer any question and he meant it. They were wonderful and accommodating with our parents as our dad is in a wheelchair. He took tasks off of our plate so we could focus on our family and grieve. We all were made to feel honoring our brother was their top priority and we appreciate that.
Everything was beautifully laid out and plenty of room for everyone. Not that we plan to do this again any time soon, but Jeff and his team have earned our families trust and business.

My Paternal grandparents passed in 70's and 80's and were cared for by Lauck Funeral home. It had been decades since I was in the place. I was there recently for a service and was impressed with renovations and expansions that have taken place. The art collection is amazing. The owner Jeff has created a very comfortable space for those in their time of need.

I could not be more grateful for Jeff and the staff at Lauck and Veldhof. I used them first with our father in 2016 using their funeral home and last week with my mother who was cremated and services were held at a church. As painful as both of these events were, Jeff and his staff were so sensitive, caring and attentive to all needs. Timely with communication and responsive to additional requests made by the family. I have had many experiences with corporate funeral homes and never again. The compassion shown to our family was far beyond my expectations both times. Elegant funeral home located in historic neighborhood. The staff treats everyone like family. Jeff, the owner, actually lives above the funeral home. Beautiful paintings by Indiana artists can be found throughout. Very compassionate and attentive to every detail.
