Emergency Department, UVM Health Network - Porter Medical Center

Amazing birthing center staff! We had both of our daughters here and each time were treated with great care and top-notch balanced medical attention. This is the kind of place where both baby and mama get one-on-one attention when needed, and it also feels like a home away from home. Thank you to all of the nurses, midwives and doctors of the Porter Medical Center birthing center for helping us deliver our two gems, and make for some of the most amazing memories of our lives!

Dr.Pitts, all the Nurses and the Rad. Tech were gentle, kind, friendly and efficient when I had a surprise visit the Porter ER on May 4, 2022 for a very painful knee contusion.

My severe pain was alleviated quickly by their recommended treatment.

And I got to go home.

Does Porter hospital knowingly allow nurses to demonstrate extreme deliberate malice and cruelty toward vulnerable patients, or are Leigh and John so skilled in their ways that their egregious misconduct has slipped your notice?
If you’ve ever seen the glimmer of pleasure in the eyes of a sadistic adult terrorizing a child, you would’ve recognized it in Leigh and John’s eyes, consistently.
Obviously, this post won’t fix anything- My intention is simply to warn people to stay away from this facility, if they can help it.
(It’s unfortunate, because all other staff were fantastic. But you need to remove the sadistic individuals, lest innumerable people continue suffer staff, needlessly, on top of everything else they have going on).

I felt talked down to and written off. They did not even address my injury.
