I've been a loyal patient at Churubusco Family Dentistry for over five years now. Despite its location in a small town, the clinic exudes a unique charm and warm hospitality. The staff is not only friendly but also highly knowledgeable, making each visit a comfortable experience. Their pricing is surprisingly affordable compared to what is typically charged in urban areas, a fact I can personally attest to having tried both. I am more than willing to take the extra miles for the exceptional service I receive at a family-friendly rate, and I intend to continue doing so.

First of all Ive been going here since I was a child. I have bad teeth and am extremely prone to cavities due to my saliva and just overall genetic weak enamal. So I got my newest filling in the collection and off the bat i knew this was just off. My bite shifted and my tooth was in extreme pain for 3 months. Anytime I would call I would be told this was normal. So I waited and it got so extreme to the point I needed to go elsewhere. I was overdosing on Tylenol and melatonin to try to sleep the pain away. This leaded to a bit of depression for being in this much pain and sleeping so much. Well now my bite is screwed and I may need brackets to fix my shifted bite. 3 stars because other than this Ive never had any issues.

This Family Dental Practice is top notch. Everyone explains everything as it happens. And your comfort is always their goal. I just had two huge fillings completed and it was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. I’m bringing my AirPods to the next appointment so I can take a good nap. Dr. Dionne Hladin is the best dentist I’ve ever had. She knows how to perfectly numb you so you don’t feel it. She figured out I needed two different meds for it to work. And wait until you have your first appointment. You’ll be shocked at how much they’re overcharging in Fort Wayne. Churubusco is a 15 minute drive from my home in Fort Wayne. Go see how amazing they are.

I came here with my 5 yo who was very nervous about his first visit and came out very confident about his smile. The dental assistant and the doctor took time to explain to my son everything that was happening and answered all my questions. We had a calm, tear free experience. We are coming back for sure.

After a year and a half and two dentists, I was ready to give up that I would ever find a dentist that could make me a crown that would fit properly and not hurt. Dr. Zollinger and his staff did fabulous. They were patient and caring and extremely concerned to get it exactly right. I finally have a crown that is just right. My daughter has been going to this place for 13 years. We had always been given good service. However, we had a different DA (Jean) this last visit than we have had before. We had never ever have been treated so badly in our entire lives. She was only interested in pushing extra services and rushed us through the cleaning and examine. Told the Dentist that she thought my daughter had Covid too because her allergies were acting up. So, the Dentist wouldn't even look at her teeth. She didn't even take off the bib and schedule us for the next visit. Told us to leave immediately and go to the lobby. We just left and decided this will probably be the last time they see us. So sad it only takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch. I am definitely not risking the chance of getting that DA again.

I am giving this place 1 star, not for the service I received, but for their dismissal cancellation policy from their practice. Their services are great. have always been helpful and kind and that's all I'll say about that aspect. Just so everyone is aware, this establishments no show policy is absolutely ludicrous. Most places only count three no-shows towards dismissing somebody. Not this place. They also include rescheduled appointments in their no-show policy. They say that people rescheduling appointments is very disruptive for their schedule and unfair to other patients who value prompt treatment. You wait 20 minutes or so after your appointment to get in so you don't value my time, or anyone else's. Also, what does my missed appointment have to do with somebody that has an appointment after me? They only have that policy because they don't want to miss out on the money they receive from insurance so they make it more stringent so it's quicker to get those people out. I will take my business elsewhere that respects a mother who doesn't want to bring sick children into the doctor's office to infect other people, respects MY TIME and understands when someone cancels and even has called in to reschedule. I even saw a review where they wouldn't look in a child's mouth because they thought she had covid. Counting rescheduling appointments towards no shows. Absolutely ridiculous.

I’ll start this by saying that I’m not usually one to complain but I’m severely disappointed in my last visit to Churubusco Family Dentistry. I grew up coming here but unfortunately I will no longer be their patient. I came in after getting stabbed in the gum by a chicken bone when it was supposed to be boneless and I saw Dr. Berning. My teeth were bad. I knew this but she spent maybe a minute in my mouth, told me I needed a full extraction, referred me to an oral surgeon and wrote a script for pain. I was very specific about needing a script that was safe because I am breastfeeding. She assured me it was safe. We got to the pharmacy and the pharmacist refused to fill it because it could cause respiratory depression in my infant. I tried to make it without pain meds but could not so I called back a few days later and asked if they could write something else and I was told to take Tylenol. Tylenol didn’t work and I had told her that originally. I ended up at Redimed in tears because of the pain and I’ve given birth naturally and not cried so that should tell you how much pain I was in. I then went to Aspen Dental to get a second opinion and I did NOT need a full extraction. All of my upper teeth had to come out but only 3 lower teeth needed to be pulled and the price I paid for extraction, top denture and lower partial with sedation was cheaper than what I’d have paid just for extractions at the oral surgeon she referred me to. I will say that the tech the day I visited was awesome. She was very personable and professional and I’ve always gotten along well with the other two dentists but Dr. Berning left a bad taste in my mouth... literally.

Be warned this company is not there for your interest. My wife went in to get a crown and they refused to do the crown. Instead they wanted to work on the tooth behind and check for cancer. They are a scam want to over charge you and your insurance company. Stay away from them.
