Fox Point State Park

A narrow strip of land the park is comprised of with paved walking trails throughout, sandwiched between Amtrak and the Delaware river, where the shipping channel is so close to the Delaware side you could throw a rock and hit the ships practically. If you don’t like ships but you like trains, there are a number of them that pass by during your visit. There are some BBQ grills available some pavilions that you have to reserve in order to have group events and a couple of children’s playgrounds with plastic equipment, € lastly plenty of park benches to sit € relax.

Park is good, has lots of space for parking, benches. Part I liked was children play area and long river walk. Currently fees is waived due to off season, which is kinda good but otherwise you need to pay at the entrance $4 I believe. I recommend this park.

This little park is very relaxing. A hidden gem. Plenty of parking. Family friendly place to take the kids to let run around. Ships go by all the time which is actually entertaining. Brown eagles fly around the area. I sometimes would fly my drone over the river. Fun times.

Great place for a picnic and an occasional walk by the river.

Always a fave to walk the paved trail along the water, sunset is gorgeous and its a good place to see some big watercrafts. There is a playground, bathrooms, a couple of Pavilions. There are benches and lookout points along the path as well. I've seen several bird species, deer, and other small mammals. Lovely place in an unexpected location.

This park was off the beaten path, and beautiful! Very nice picnic area with a playground and public restrooms that were clean. I loved the view of the water. Great place for a family outing, gathering or just to take a walk or a bike ride. You will have to pay for parking. $8 if you live outside of Delaware, $4 if you are a Delaware resident.

If you want a quiet place away from a lot of people, near some water, then you might enjoy it here. Self pay upon entrance using a card and then pull into the first parking area. Here you will find restrooms and the children's playarea and sandbox. The two play areas are suitable for 2-12 year olds. It is your typical playground equipment. If you bring horseshoes, or a volleyball or badminton equipment you can play near the playground. The area is wheelchair friendly and also has a shelter. You can take a stroll on the paved pathway that leads around the small sized park. It is a perfect walk for a couple. There are four shelters in all that I saw. You will need to drive down an unpaved road to get to the furthest one out, where there are portapotty type restrooms. There are also look out areas that will tell you about the surroundings. Take a peaceful stroll and enjoy the day!

First visit for a family gathering and had no idea that this site existed. Beautiful location with a view of the ships as they go by.

Great views of water and clean area. Spaced out well and not crowded.

Fantastic for walking and biking.

Sometimes you get the seawater smell but not bad enough to ruin the great time.

I love this park. It's small, safe & clean. The bathroom & playground is within close proximity to the pavilion. I attended a family gathering there about 3 weeks ago & I had a great time!

Nice Park, You could spend an entire day watching Ships and feeling the pleasant breeze. Well maintained place in all seasons.

This is a quiet, even tranquil state park along the Delaware River. You do need to face the river because it is wedged between a rail yard and the river. One wouldn't expect a such a lovely setting after crossing the railroad tracks.

I was there on a beastly hot day, but the breeze by the river made it possible to enjoy the limited scenery if I stayed in the shade. There is a charge for admission and a non-resident upcharge. But the entrance fee is per car, not per person. Next time, I'm going alone.

This park is such a nice walk near the water. There are accessible bathrooms during the open season and you can enjoy the park for free without a park pass during the off season. Its right near 495 so you can hear the traffic but it’s still a great walking path and views of the water. There is also a nice park for kids and signs with history to read about.

Great park. We love to sit and have lunch by the water and watch the cargo ships pass. Bring some horse shoes and a volley ball to utilize the horse shoe pit and sanded volley ball area.

Nice park, nice river views, good walking paths, bathroom area, as well as portapotties near Pavillions. Great for boating, picnics, and bbqs.

We decided to visit Fox Point for a casual stroll (45 minutes) it was CLEAN with a NICE VIEW.

Went to the park to celebrate the lives of children we lost... It was a beautiful well organized event. This was the first of hopefully many to come. The park is easy to find and there are great spots by the water to take beautiful pics.

One of delawares wide open parks never know when a ship comes down always a pleasure to watch.Now they have a little entertainer and he is one over weight ground hog I think I name him donkey now he comes up close beware I say.Use good judgement.
