We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Ivy & Varley with friends. I have some food allergies and the server was very knowledgeable AND took the time to verify with the chef that I could eat the salmon. The chef substituted mashed potatoes for orzo (to accommodate my allergies) and served a beautiful plate! I was very impressed with the food and would love to eat here again! The restaurant decor was nice, but I'm subtracting one star because our table didn't have lights above it and it was hard to read the menu without using our phones for additional lighting. We would have experienced better lighting sitting at a different table.

Only thing better than the food and atmosphere was the amazing service (thanks Jordan!)

We sat at the bar and split the Chicken Caprese Sandwich! OMG! Will be back for that. The focaccia bread melted in your mouth but still held the sandwich together. Genius!!!

Saturday morning brunch at Ivy and Varley was delicious! We were the first Customers of the day and the staff was very welcoming and attentive. We got the Fried Brussels Sprouts (so good!), Shakshuka, Eggs Benedict, and the Churro French Toast. All the portions were pretty good-sized and all delicious! Excited to go back and try other items on the menu!

Cute bar with plenty of space. We had about 12 pp and they were able to accommodate and got the order out pretty quick. Food is amazing. Everything we ordered were delicious!!! Order Brussel sprout, can’t recommend enough!

What a cool vibe this place has! I loved all the live plants everywhere. I had their espresso martini which was delicious! The chicken lollipops were pretty spicy but very tasty. Service was absolutely amazing! It was my friend’s bday and they brought her a complimentary gluten-free brownie with a giant sparkler. The only reason I took off one star in the atmosphere rating was because the lighting in our table’s corner was too dark and the high ceilings made the place really noisy. I will definitely be coming back, and next time I want to sit at the bar and watch the fascinatingly talented bartenders mix their cocktails.

Great spot. A bit on the pricier side but it matches the quality. Our waiter, Anthony, was very fast and super helpful in making drink suggestions and food recommendations. The food was delicious and the meat was so tender it was almost unbelievable. Drinks came out fast and were really high quality. Thanks guys.

We had a great time! Our group tried the Grilled Beet Hummus, Everything Brussels and Wild Boar Ribs to start, I was torn between the Wagyu Burger and Shrimp & Grits. Ultimately went with the latter and was delighted. Two in my group did enjoy the burger. Another friend had the Kale Caesar with Salmon. Great mocktails. Wine had substantial mark up up but we enjoyed a bottle nonetheless. Service was excellent. Really cool vibes. Glad we selected this restaurant on a short trip to SLC!

Luckily, this Ivy & Varley bar and restaurant opens till 1am in downtown SLC. It’s a perfect location for us to stop by after an Orchestral performance at the University of Utah around 9pm. We were able to grab a couple of seats at the bar. The bartender was quick to get our drinks and food order right away. Within 10 minutes, our order was ready and delivered to our table. I couldn’t rave enough about Everything Brussels. It was delicious with every bite. My Wagu burger was okay but cooked perfectly to my liking. Lastly, my wife sweet potatoes soup was delicious as well. Finally, we would recommend all to try out this restaurant if you have an opportunity to stop by Salt Lake City.

I visited Ivy & Varley with a group this past Sunday for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The interior design in this location is stunning and welcoming - very modern industrial with a natural color palette and a lot of greenery to make it feel more alive.

Their food was an absolute delight and came out very quickly! A couple of us chose some of their shareables as our entrees and they were delicious. The Avocado Toast Bites were full of flavor and seasoned well, but do consider when ordering that they are fairly garlic forward! I love fresh garlic, so no complaints here! The mushrooms on top were also cooked to perfection and a great addition to the bite.

The Crawfish Croquettes were probably my favorite part of the meal - you can't go wrong with potatoes! These croquettes were packed with flavor. Assorted on a plate of 5, they are drizzled with a burnt tomato aioli that is to die for. They were the perfect amount of crisp on the outside, while the inside texture is balanced between the smoothness of the potato and roughly chopped bits of crawfish. My husband ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict and for it being an eggs benedict, I was surprised at the portion size being a bit larger than most eggs benedict I've seen before! There was a generous amount of hollandaise on the dish, which ended up being especially great because the hollandaise tasted so vibrant! I know that hollandaise will classically be made with lemon, and the amount that was used in this provided a great acidity that cut through the sauce in a great way! The breakfast potatoes also paired so well with the hollandaise!

I would highly recommend visiting for a weekend brunch, but I also look forward to returning to enjoy their outdoor patio during the summer for lunch or dinner.

Ivy and Varley proved to be a fantastic choice for my husband's 40th birthday celebration. From the onset, Sidney was instrumental in coordinating our reservation. Her efficiency and organizational skills were on point, setting a promising tone for the event. The restaurant itself adhered to meticulous guidelines that streamlined our experience, allowing us to focus solely on the occasion.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the front staff, which including Sidney who introduced herself to me personally. Throughout the night we were served by William and the rest of the waitstaff, whose impeccable service throughout the evening made our dinner exceptionally pleasant. They were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that each guest felt well cared for. Drinks were always topped off, food was served hot, plates were removed as soon as we were done with them.

The ambiance of Ivy and Varley was perfect for such a milestone event—the patio was heated, decorated elegantly yet inviting. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. Six people out of party of 14, ordered the Waygu burger and they were all cooked exactly how each person wanted. They even provided special firework candles for the cakes we brought.

Overall, the evening at Ivy and Varley was memorable, not just for the celebrant but for all the guests. It's a venue I'd highly recommend for anyone looking to celebrate a significant occasion or just enjoy a nice evening out with grace, style, and culinary excellence.

Food beyond words and taste 😋 Start witb Everything Brussel Sprouts then go for the Gnoochi after finish with the Lavendar Lemon Bar 🙌 oh forgot for a refreshing relaxing drink my choice was a Bay Breeze but the bartender didn't disappoint when he had no cranberry substituted with fresh squeezed OJ. The best experience! Order the cheese board, Chicken Lollipops, the Brussels, the fries, the mussels are great with a kick of spice LOL just order the whole menu. Only critique, I wasn't a fan of the brownie but not a reason to not visit. The service was AMAZING. They were swamped but did it all with a smile. DRINKS ARE EXCEPTIONAL!!! So much thought and care goes into the drink recipes, I had the Hibiscus Margarita & Rags to Riches. I will be back!

This is one of my FAVORITE places to go with friends and husband. First off it’s adults only, you need to be at least 21 to enter (hell yea), the food is phenomenal *chefs kiss* and the patio is awesome! Please get he Brussel sprouts the dish is crispy-creamy perfection. And the GNOCCHI omg I dream about it, the pork in it is soo tender and delicious. You need it. This place is a gem downtown for sure! I’ll probably be back next week to be honest…see you there!

This is a nice social cocktail bar. I don't drink, but the bar is well stocked, and my son enjoyed his cocktail. We shared a wonderful appetizer. Our meals were fantastic and the service was amazing. I would eat here again.

Went with colleagues for dinner for our last night in SLC. The outdoor area was beautiful and the food was great. Service was good and the food came out very quickly.

Making a same day reservation online was easy. However, note that reservations are for the indoor space only, while the outdoor seating is first come first serve. The host was very accommodating to our party and got us a table outside. They will be updating their reservation system to include outdoor seating soon. Out of all the restaurants we tried during our short stay in SLC, this was our favorite!

Went here for Valentine’s Day and it was very fun. We had a reservation for their special menu and drinks and everything was delicious. Will be going back.

We had a great time and great food! Very friendly staff. I love the variety and creativity of their food options, especially the brussel sprouts and the cashew kimchi rice bowl.

We came here for our 20th anniversary, on the recommendation of a friend. Staff was friendly, great atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Like all the reviews say, you can't go wrong with the Brussels sprouts. Cocktails were great. She had the catfish sandwich, and I had the gnocchi. We couldn't decide, so we got both dessert options. Would recommend!
