Its beautiful here during the spring and summer. Such a great place for a walk in nature. I love that its so close for me to get out of the city and be in the woods. Definitely a peaceful place to clear your mind. Good walking area. I never realized how big Breakheart actually is until today when I ended up in places I've never even seen in there before. Considering I've been walking here for years.

Great hiking area where you can get a view of the Boston skyline from Breakheart Hill and lots of other views of lakes and ponds along the way. We hiked 5 miles of trails but there was still a lot more we could have done. There's a lot of elevation changes so you're going up and down quite a bit. With so many rocks on the trails, wearing boots would be very helpful.

Love the paved paths! Great for a nice stroll through the woods with small hills too. There are picnic tables and nice views overlooking the lakes. Excited to swim here as well!

Lots of parking available but on weekends during summer might be difficult to find spot due to the small beach access from this entrance.

Oooh this place is great!! Walked for nearly two hours (sort of lost) in the trails. Great place for long walks, swimming areas, awesome place. Meet some staff along the way (adorable people too; very polite) loved it~ definitely going back again~

Currently a winter wonderland... usually way too packed to enjoy properly.

The park is extremely accessible with trails ranging from wheelchair accessible to moderate difficulty. Multiple entrances with huge parking lots mean that getting into the park is simple. There's a visitor station with bathrooms, tours, and a playground. The lake has a sandy beach for swimming. Overall a great day trip for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors.

This is one of my favorite places to get myself outside! You can hike on some of their trails, or simply walk the road for a quick scenic stroll. Definitely a great place to bike too if you're into that.

It was too rainy for us to do much hiking, so instead we had lunch under a covered picnic area, and then brought the dog to the dog area for some (slightly muddy) play time. Great facilities.

Nice walk in the middle of Wakefield. You can park for free at the vocational school. There are a number of trails from paved to smaller dirt ones. There is a small beach open I. The summer bear a small playground.

This place is absolutely amazing! The trails are great, the lake is great for swimming, and it is very kid friendly. Me and my family have enjoyed this place for many years, and its a place that never gets old or boring.

My dog loves all the types of trails and terrains this place has to offer. I love how there are many spots with access to water, which is the most important feature of a place we hike at during warmer weather.

Breakheart has always been an age old favorite of mine and well worth the visit if you're ever in the area. I used to longboard here years ago when I lived in the area, the hills are incredible and pavement is incredibly smooth. The only bummer about this spot is the park rangers have a stick up their you know what when it comes to using electric devices such as OneWheels. Even though there are no specific clauses saying they're not allowed, the rangers will issue tickets regardless. If you're walking or biking, then definitely check this park out. But OneWheelers beware of the rangers, they're bored and have it out for you all.

This entrance has a short walk (about 10 min for me, says .5 miles) to the beach and a much longer walk to the visitor center at the Saugus side, both paved and accessible. The walk to the beach was pretty easy, whereas the walk to the visitor center had many hills.

Dyring COVID, the bathrooms at the Saugus visitor center had limited hours, and as of this writing the seasonal porta potties by the beach had not yet been installed.

Peaceful! I Loved seeing the Children play in the water without a care in the World. All of them had their differences yet each of them where Kind and Loving towards eachother.
The Trees and surrounding are completely healing.

Usually plenty of parking here. Go during non-school hours during the year and there's more parking

DCR is doing a great job keeping the place clean, and helping out people. My 4 year old was stung by a Wasp on the trail, and workers drove by, and was able to send an officer out with a med pack to help with the sting, and was friendly. Thank you and keep up the great work 👍.
