Stopped in to Cake Ann for my first time. Almost closing time, so just picked up. But a quick glance, a very cozy, nice atmosphere. I picked up an order, surprise order, too good to go, app. Pleasantly surprised with amount of food. Everything was awesome. I will definitely visit more frequently and would highly recommend!!!

Cake Ann was a great choice for our wedding! My husband and I moved from MA to CO a year before our wedding (early COVID as well) which made picking cake and desserts hard! Before we left Inga made us a box of desserts to take home to try. Her bakery is just incredible! Everything was so delicious and looked picture perfect. We came back to MA a few months before our wedding and Inga let us try some unique cakes. We wanted something really good but also really different. The cake was the only dessert i actually got to try on our wedding day so thank god it was good! Inga was just so sweet overall! Highly recommend.

We got both of my kids birthday cakes from Cake Ann this year! My son got a dinosaur marble cake for his first birthday (their marble is alternating layers of vanilla and chocolate, forgot to take a picture of it!) and everyone at his party was commenting on how delicious it was. For our daughters 4th birthday she wanted a unicorn cake, we ended up getting a small cake and a dozen cupcakes instead of one big cake and it worked so well! My daughter requested strawberry cake and I don't know what I was expecting but cake ann knocked it out of the park it was SO GOOD. Once again everyone at the party was asking where we went and commenting on how good it was! We'll definitely be using cake ann again going forward!

Cake Ann made our wedding cake & dessert table pastries, and we could NOT be happier with how it all turned out! Inga & Amanda were extremely kind, professional, and have a true talent. Our cake turned out beautiful and exactly as we’d imagined. Our dessert table pastries were fantastic and we ended up bringing home the leftovers to enjoy the next day! I would highly recommend Cake Ann for any of your baking and pastry needs for any special occasion :) Thank you guys for being such a special part of our big day!

We had an amazing experience with Cake Ann and our wedding! First of all, Inga is amazing and so kind. She spent all the time needed with us at the cake tasting and later when we were deciding on the cake design. The cake came out beautifully! We got so many compliments and even a family member told me “I don’t even like cake or desserts in general, but that cake was amazing!!” It looked gorgeous as well. I am so glad we live in the area so we can go back and visit, so happy to have Cake Ann as our favorite local bakery and new beautiful location on the water too :) Would recommend without reservation! 😊

I'm really not sure where to begin here. My now husband and I live in Colorado Springs and decided we wanted to have our wedding ceremony in Salem since we officially started dating there in October 2020. When we decided to travel to Salem for the wedding, I searched around for cake shoppes and stumbled upon Cake Ann. I cannot express how lucky I am to have found this gem!

I was lucky enough to speak to Inga, the owner, and she was so easy to speak to and so kind throughout. During the discussion about what we wanted the cake to look like, I told her I wanted her to have as much create freedom as she wants and showed her our instagrams so she could get a glimpse into who we are.

When we arrived to pick up the cake she immediately knew who we were and was so excited to show us the beauty she created. She is a creative genius!

After our wedding ceremony and the cake cutting, we got to delve into the cake we all went silent. Why you ask?! Because the cake was SO DELICIOUS AND FLAVORFUL we were speechless.

Inga, thank you for playing a critical part in our wedding festivities and helping us create new memories.

Review that is only partially for Cake Ann - I come here on occasion, but my husband goes all the time - he loves to have coffee and hang out there. Long story short, I'm sick at home, and he goes there the other day for his coffee and asks the owner if she knows anywhere to get good chicken soup. And, the owner pulls out a JAR of HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP, which she had brought for lunch, and hands it to him. Because that's the kind of human she is, apparently. I was super sick, it was super amazing, and I plan on going to Cake Ann a LOT more now :)

Cake Ann is in a new location in downtown Gloucester but they are still making the best pastries etc in the area. In addition to all of the sweets, we really love their various quiches and their fabulous meat pies filled with locally made sausages. We were not meat pie lovers before but these are awesome!

I can't recommend this place enough. We headed to Gloucester on the way to the North end because of it's history. Stopped in and got a tremendous pastry and empanada. People couldn't have been kinder to help us find some local sights to see. 10/10!

Delectable Delightful Delicious! Everytime we are in Boston we make the Trek for the savory veggie galettes and the mouth watering melt in your mouth kouign (pronounced like Queen) amann (rolls?) So indescribably delicious they deserve a category of their own! Buttery flaky with right hint of sweet they look like a flower in bloom with layers of airy lightness. My husband, daughter and I are calling in our order in advance for this Friday so we
can share with family. But that order will be separate from the one we will enjoy on the porch by the water for breakfast ! 😉

We get all of our birthday cakes and celebratory cakes from Cake Ann. It just seemed natural that we ask them to create the most special cake for us, our wedding cake. We met Inga, the owner several times to review what we wanted and she even visited the wedding venue to ensure that everything would be perfect. She took the initiative to call our caterer and wedding coordinator to make sure that everything was perfect. She worked with our florist too to ensure that the cake was properly decorated with our flowers.

On our wedding day, we were overwhelmed. It was a showstopper. A towering cake next to the dance floor was the centerpiece for our magical day. We further chose to have a dessert table filled with our favorite bite size treats.

The cake was stunning, it was tasty and truly one of the many highlights of our wedding day.

We had a birthday at the Azorean in Gloucester. Cake An Delivered a beautiful cake to the restaurant. Th beautiful decoration the taste of the filling and the frosting was amazing. If there is a way to give 10 stars I would. Highly recommend

We recently were gifted with a box of the most delicious assortment of cupcakes, every one a gem of cupcake perfection! Varieties based on chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, it did not matter, each was superb in presentation and flavor! Whether you're buying for yourself, or bringing a gift for your host, cupcakes from this bakery will be a hit! Highly recommend!

I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday party. I was initially looking for a chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling, but ganache was recommended because it was more rich than the mousse and would keep the cake more stable. That was excellent advice. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was also incredibly delicious. The guests were raving about it, and everyone was asking where it came from. Also, I was assured that the 8 inch cake would likely be sufficient for my 20 guests due to it's height and richness. Everyone had a generous serving and we even had a little left over. Good advise, excellent customer service, delicious cake! I will be ordering from Cake Ann again!

This is my go to bake shop in Gloucester. Have enjoyed their cupcakes, muffins, croissants, and cookies. Their Easter fare was awesome and the staff is super friendly!

What an amazing bakery!! We have used Inga for a cheesecake last year for our small wedding and my husband said it was the best cheesecake he’s ever had! My mom also just used her and her team to make gluten free cupcakes for my baby shower and they were absolutely DELICIOUS!! I absolutely recommend for anyone in the area who needs baked goods.

Inga and the team at Cake Ann made a wedding cake for us this July and we could not be happier with them or the cake! She was super attentive and helpful during the tasting/design portion, everything was exactly how we wanted it and to top it off the cake was delicious (don't pass up on the Bavarian Buttercream). We will be back again and again for more yummy treats from them.

Hidden Gem!! Cake Ann's new location is the best underused coffee spot in Gloucester. In good weather they even have a porch right the water where you can meet a friend and have a treat.
