ALWAYS perfection! The salads are amazing (see pic which doesn’t do it justice as I had already eaten some of it😋). They accommodate all substitutions and additions. The sandwiches are the best in town. The staff are all so friendly, and welcoming- they go above and beyond the normal customer service you’ll experience elsewhere!

EDIT: CASH for delivery tips (see full review) I would like to express my gratitude for the owners prompt actions and response. I was unaware they went through a 3-rd party so I have changed my review to 5 stars because it is not their fault. I am unsure how to contact her but her genuine response and my other experiences shows me how wonderful they are. I will leave the original review for people to see what happened. You can also read the owner's response that further shows their care and professionalism. The response completely made my sad night so much better. Thank you!

I love cafe bischo and recommend the food. However, I was notified after I paid, to tip the driver in cash. I never carry cash with me so I didn't have any. I was hoping she had venmo or another electronic payment option. I explained this to the delivery driver and she proceeded to yell at me. Then rudely shove my food at me and sarcastically say "have a nice one on me" before I had a chance to ask her if it would be okay for me to deliver a cash tip to cafe bischo or meet her elsewhere the next day. If she had been polite I would have been able to figure it out with her like 2 adults. That being said if you order deliver you must have CASH for a tip. I will never order delivery again she was so rude. I however will continue to frequent for their delicious food.

Stopped in here after flying in for a wedding and we were not disappointed! Highly recommend the clam chowder and panini sandwiches. Food came out fast and people were very nice!

We always stop here at least once on every one of our annual Gloucester visits. AAA+ on every freshly-made menu item! A repeat favorite of ours is their Three Bean Chili, even though we are not vegan. Don’t be deterred by having to pay to park on Main Street; the City of Gloucester specifically keeps the parking rates LOW to encourage easy access to all Main Street businesses. The small sit-down area inside is always neat & clean. The artificial "ivy" on half of one wall softens the small space nicely.

It’s difficult to find places that offer a variety of non-seafood items along the coast! They had a lot of options and delivered them with high quality and food portions! I ordered the Falafel Pita Wrap.

Great space, great food, great service and fair price. Would definitely recommend!

Great spot for lunch and more. Have ordered both a sandwich and a chowder from here and both were exceptional. Prices are what you would expect from a quality sandwich shop.

They go out of their way to help: ordered breadbowls for our chowder, but they were out. She offered extra bread instead. We said sure and let me just say the breads they have are all amazing.

One of my all time favorites! The staff is so friendly and the food is so fresh and delicious. Highly recommend chicken salad, french onion soup, summer salad and everything else.

My families favorite place for takeout in town! So many options and everything we’ve had has been delicious. You don’t find soups, salads and sandwiches like this anywhere else around here! Also everyone that works there is so kind, friendly and hardworking…they even delivered to us in the middle of a blizzard today! Much appreciated 💙

GREAT local place for a quick bite to eat. The service is great and quick. The food is delicious for such a low price (most items on the menu are around $10). There isn’t a whole lot of seating because the place isn’t huge so be prepared for takeout if necessary. Overall, great meal

Awesome selection of sandwiches and salads. My go to favorite is the double stuffed ‘Patriot’ Sandwich ——>Pastrami, Corned Beef, Swiss, Coleslaw and Russian Dressing. We also love their ‘Honey BBQ Chicken Wrap’——>Grilled Chicken, Romaine, Tomatoes, Onions, American Cheese and Honey BBQ Sauce. Great food, great staff and a must try in Gloucester.

Im seriously so obsessed with the food 🤤 always so fresh and smells amazing. The only place ive come across that does their corn chowder exactly right; no funny business. Love it!

Spent a week in the area and this was honestly my favorite place to eat! The portions were huge for the price. Everything was fresh. I ordered a salad and honestly, they gave so many toppings instead of bulking with lettuce. The blonde working was hospitable and even offered to move a table to give us more room. Our whole family was impressed. :)
