Deb's Diner

This is an old school diner in every way. The entire place is one row of bar seats, 3 booths and 1 set of chairs. The food is classic, greasy, filling and worth the price. We got the veggie omelette and the eye opener. The omelet was filled with vegetables and the potatoes were seasoned to be devoured. The eye opener is two eggs two (meat) we got bacon, home fries, a big pancake and a cup of coffee.

Loved coming here while on vacation to the northeast. Our hotel had nothing for breakfast, so we were starving when we stumbled upon this place! It's so cute. We love the small diner vibes. Our breakfast came out quickly! It was sooooo good! Eggs, potatoes, toast, coffee. Exactly what we needed. Our server was very nice and the place smelled delicious

We’re from Pittsburgh and visit Salem every year for a long weekend and we eat breakfast at Deb’s every single day of our trip. It’s our favorite diner of all time…love the vibe..the food is always super delicious and the staff is the absolute BEST!!! We feel like family when we eat here. Make sure you order a grilled muffin!!

This place is the perfect Americana hole-in-the-wall diner experience. Squeeze into a little booth and pay cash only for a big helping of delicious greasy food—that's all I ask of a diner. Staff were so fun and personable and we loved chatting with them! They accommodated my modifications to the meal with ease as well. I've been here twice now and will definitely be back.

I swear I overcame my eating disorder today with enjoying how delicious this food was. Phenomenal service gave us coffee every ten minutes. Warm atmosphere and environment. Will be coming back monthly!

Worth the wait ! the few seats and popularity of this little diner may lead to some waiting, but the menu is so worth it. classic diner digs with many omelettes, plate size pancakes and diverse french toast options including boston creme ! Coffee was good as well and that is a must.

Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the apple cinnamon caramel pancake 🖤 It arrived as big as my head, and tasted as good as a fall festival! The diner is small and cozy. Thank you for the scrumptious breakfast!

Traveled to the great city of Boston and spent the majority of the trip planning looking for the best breakfast place. As the breakfast gods would have it, we found this absolutely gem! For any peanut butter fans, this is the place for you! The Elvis French Toast was to die for to the point I signed a DNR on the spot! Everything was so good we all had to unstick ourselves from the bench seat to make an attempt to leave. By the time we left, the table looked like a crime scene of French Toast remnants. Only downside to this place is that I will no longer enjoy breakfast food the same, since I have officially had the best.

I ordered from Grubhub, it didn't take too long and my food was still nice hot and fresh when it got to me. I ordered "grilled cheese and bacon sandwich", what I got looked more like your standard toast, egg, sausage and homefries plate. I probably should have realized when I was asked what type of eggs LOL. Not sure where the bacon was in this dish.

While I didn't get a grilled cheese sandwich like I expected, I am not upset about that at all. The toast, eggs with cheese, and sausages were PERFECT. exactly the type of thing I was hoping for, delicious dirty diner food. The home fries are perfect and plentiful.

Biggest shock for me was the pancakes. I ordered 2 blueberry pancakes, was a little confused that they cost $9.90. But I see why. THEY ARE MASSIVE! Probably 9-10 inches wide and almost an inch thick!!! I could feed a family of 6 with these things! surprisingly they weren't that good with real maple syrup from my fridge, but the table syrup they provided did the trick, and tasted slightly of vanilla. I ate half a pancake and put the rest in the fridge. moaned between every bite.

Overall excellent! pricing is reasonable, portions are generous, and has those nostalgic diner taste & texture I was craving. Thanks Deb!

It's cozy but get your food fast. Staff is fun and personable with everybody that walks in there knows them by name.

Breakfast was outstanding!! My boyfriend got the breakfast club and I got the everything omelet. Everything was homemade and fresh! The service was excellent! Would 100% recommend this hidden gem!

Best breakfast in Salem, hands down. Simple, yet delicious offerings that include various eggs benedict options, pancakes, french toast and sandwiches. The corned beef hash and home fries are side dish must-haves. Great coffee and excellent service! Convinced there’s some magic happening behind that little counter.

My dad has been eating there for over 60 years ! When we come back home . It is a definite stop with dad , me and his granddaughters ! Fabulous food, fabulous staff!! The muffins and the Irish Benny is my weakness

This place is the absolute BEST! The food is delicious, the staff is so welcoming and they provided the BEST service! I’m so happy I found this place. This is my third time in Salem and I will say it’s 100 times better than other popular breakfast diners such as the Ugly Mug Diner ( went there in Nov 2022 and was NOT impressed). If you really want to have a good breakfast and want that small town feel… this is the place!!

It’s very unsuspecting from the outside, but inside you feel like you’ve stepped into another time. The pancakes, BEC biscuit, potatoes, and Boston cream French toast were better than I could imagine! The ladies working were extremely sweet. So happy I found this spot and will return if I ever visit Salem again.

This is the best place for local flare! Amazing homemade muffins that are fried in butter if you like no charge of course, and everything is cooked fast! Poached eggs, omelettes, huge pancakes, and great potatoes! Check them out and I might see you there!
(After checking out the neighborhood, I'd still come her over all others, Dot and Ray's serves spoiled food, and food off the floor, and don't deny it, at least here you get quality food, quality service, and don't need a translator!)
