Last year I went into the dentist for the first time in many years. I knew i had a tough road ahead but I wanted to get things really back on track.
What's really amazing is how Amity Dental feels inside, the atmosphere and comraderie between everyone who's working there.. my memories of the dentist's office when I was younger were like a funeral parlor; you felt like you had to be quite as soon as you got in the waiting room. That's not how Amity is. Also, the old days with novacaine..youbhad to wait like a half hour.. then theyd ask "just tell me if you feel anything" and when you weere like "stop! I think youre drilling on the wrong side!" they'd say "we meant anythinf real.." Todays procedures use lidocaine as anesthetic, its MUCH more comfortable, and it ALWAYS covers the affected area.. and an hour maybe 2 later, your face is back to normal, usually minimal residual discomfort. None of this drooling on your friends and family for 8 hours aftwrwards. But the jewel in the Amity crown, the leader of the pack if you will, Dr. Ivancev. What a clown! (In the best way) You would think he might get tired of entertaining all the assistants and associates AND performing serious dentistry operations so smooth and flawless... he almost seems more like a bartender than a doctor.
Except when it counts. If you have a question, a concern... if you're just anxious, he feels like he hasn't done his job. He gives it to you straight and if he thinks he might be about to cause you a little discomfort, you will almost forget it's even happening because he's JUST THAT GOOD. At the work, at relating to his coworkers and most importantly to his patients.

I've had a bridge, implant, several extractions and a bunch of fillings. And I know you won't really believe this part, but honestly sometimes I miss that I'm not in there twice a week anymore this year.. but I'm really happy I did it and at my last cleaning the technician praised me for keeping up with brushing and flossing. Now I don't even have to stay at the dentists and of course- I actually want to!

Call Amity Dental I promise you won't regret it.
Also, they accept MassHealth for many normal visits. Bigger procedures maybe not but that's ALSO a big plus!

Dr. Castenson is an excellent dentist. I've been going to this practice for well over 15 years. I drive over an hour to go to Amity Street Dental. Their work is professional and of the highest quality. There I can truly receive pain free dentistry. The staff is excellent as are all of the assistants. A big shout of to my hygienist Kayla - she also kind and thorough!

I have been with this practice for more than ten years and have used all of the dentists. My experience with the dentists has been uniformly excellent and the staff are also great. They have recently expanded the number of dental plans they accept making them more accessible and affordable. I highly recommend them.

Fantastic team, highly professional care, attentive, excellent consultation, welcoming atmosphere! I saw Dr. Castenson who patiently spent almost 4-hours and did as much as he could to fix some of my long-neglected dental issues. Dr. Ivancev also stopped by and gave advice for future care. The assistants were accommodating, efficient and friendly. The team was very alert to my financial constraints and made great suggestions on how to manage my budget and insurance plan. Unfortunately, I am leaving the area but if I got a chance to come back, I would happily return to Amity St Dental!

I came to Dr Hunt after not going to a Dentist for ten years . Through his expert care I got a deep cleaning , had four wisdom teeth removed , cavities galor, a root canal and a custom night guard to help address tooth grinding and TMJ pain . I have a fear of Dentists and was ashamed when I first came but he put me at ease albeit repeatedly and educated me on flossing and proper tooth care . I am now on a regular cleaning schedule and find the rest of the staff very thorough , patient and knowledgeable . My ex rays are now improved and I can rest assured I am in good hands :)

I can’t say enough about Dr.Hunt he is amazing and great with my son! Brooke is so cheerful and makes the visits as enjoyable as possible. Great place and handicap accessible makes our lives much easier!
