Trail Head Outfitter & General Store

This is such a local staple. They have a ton of different candies for kids here. There are plenty of camping supplies to get as well. The staff here are always amazing and professional. With the corner cafe right inside it's a one stop shop. Parking is acceptable with street spots on the road and a parking lot a short trek across the street. I am looking forward to going back again soon!

This store is amazing has everything you might need for a hiking trip or a day trip.Also you can grab a bite to eat at the corner cafe the food is award winning from breakfast to lunch to a quick sweet treat they have you covered. The new owners are amazing well knowledged in the products they carry also in the kitchen.. If your in the area make sure to stop and check this store out!! You won't be disappointed.

I just stopped at the store again today, bought two bottles of hot sauce and two bags of beef jerky. I love the atmosphere, the owner is super nice and helpful, the food I'm buying here taste amazing! The owner recommended me I try a certain local New England brand of hot sauce on my last visit, I did and I think I'm hooked! I can see a lot of visits in the future. All this and I went to the store just 3 times. I like it!

Fantastic store - variety of high quality outfitter equipment mixed with local odds and ends (mugs, puzzles, etc). Cafe in the back serves Deans Beans and wonderful sandwiches. Owner is very personable. Highly recommend a visit!

I've driven by this place dozens of times in the last few years and never thought to stop until it was recommended by a friend and client. What a nice stopover for some good home cooked food and warm atmosphere... With the pot belly stove going while I was enjoying a classic BLT on rye, I was able to "window shop" the camping and hiking supplies from my seat. Won't be the last time I stop in for a snack!

Wonderful store with loads of goodies for everyone, my favourite items from there so far is the Beer Bread premix that comes in a beer bottle, just add your favourite can of beer. I also love their fingerless kayaking gloves, Darn Good socks and local pickles, hot sauces and items you just can't find anywhere else. Super relaxed atmosphere with a wonderful little cafe in the back for a great lunch. You must check them out.

Trail Head is a great local store that really gives back to the community. I go there relatively often, but tonight was my first time attending one of their workshops. It was Stone Soup night, and it was a great community building event with surprisingly good soup and a great group of people. Their workshops are on the 15th of each month. You get 15% off your purchases that night and can enter into a drawing for a $15 gift certificate. Of course that could change, but it sounded like they were trying to be consistent with that to make it easier for people to remember. There is also a quaint little cafe/restaurant in the back of the store.

I have shopped here a handful of times this past two years. I have bought books about mushrooms and local trails to hike, snow shoes, and lots of little things as gifts for friends and family. The gentleman who is at the desk is always friendly, knowledgeable, and makes me feel appreciated for shopping local! I love this place! It is also very clean and has something for everyone inside including a little cafe in the back! He has also ordered items that I was interested in. (mushroom book) I always leave with something that is well useful! There are items for all ages there!

Ever walk into a store and feel like you've known the employees for years? My first trip in was like that. The owners are amazing people who do a lot to help their community. This store has everything from nationally known hiking and camping gear to local products like jewlery and condiments. Definitely a gem. And a must stop if your coming to the area to hike/camp

Ok,ok ,this is the Go to spot ,when your heading out for the spontaneous hike or a date in the woods for a quick walk,or just a great adventure in the woods of Massachusetts,they have everything you could possibly need to be ready for what comes your way,the kids,dog ,partner and you are covered,they have what a hiker and family needs for a fun day in the woods and any kind of fun nature adventures.great people,great atmosphere.and shhhh there is a cafe in the store with the best quality wholesome comfort belly happy foods around massachusetts!!!you can't get any better than this.

Locally owned. Local products. Great selection of made in the USA goodies. Owners are always bringing in fun new stuff. Toys, food, trail gear, and more. Darn tough socks are my weakness! Stop in and browse. If you're a visitor, these are the folks to talk to to find out about local attractions and sights. It should be the first stop for anyone traveling to this area looking to hike bike or paddle.

I was introduced to this store by my fiance, who used to live there in Orange, but has been hiking the Quabbin and surrounding areas for many years. As a hiker and outdoor enthusiast myself, and as someone who grew up in a small town, I definitely appreciate the small. locally-owned businesses - especially when it's an outdoor store as awesome as Trail Head! Exceptional and super-friendly customer service, dedication to and supportive of local initiatives, and always willing to go the extra mile for their patrons - and always with a smile, a laugh, and warm, welcoming atmosphere! While we don't live near Orange, and don't get out that way nearly as often as we'd like - every time we are in the area, Trail Head is must stop for us!! Keep up the amazing work!

A shopping delight. Steph and her Mom and while crew make you feel like family. The North Quabbin region's go to spot for quality shopping and great food in the Corner Cafe.

One of the many reasons why I love this place is because the owners are personable, funny and truly care for their community. They have a great selection of outdoor products/ gadgets/ Castle rock apparel and indoor products. They've got a members reward program, and reindeer bucks. They keep it fun and wanting you to go back for more!

Amesome local business! Trail Head has a good selection of outdoor gear and their prices are very competitive. The staff is always super knowledgeable about the products they carry and did I mention they always have a great selection of Darn Tough socks?

Such a great store! The owners, a husband and wife team, are so pleasant, warm and welcoming. They also offer a great rewards program. Worth the visit! A great small business to support.

Darin and his Team are incredibly accommodating and personable. I was looking for something very specific when I walked in and it was not on the floor inventory. Darin went above and beyond to search other areas of the store until we found the perfect solution. This is a testament to why their business has flourished!

This is a great store if you need some items for a hike, or want some locally produced gourmet treat, or just like to look at camping gear. They may not have everything, but everything they have has been carefully chosen to make us local folks happy.
