Village Tavern

This is one of the best gluten free burgers I’ve had anywhere. They also have vegan burgers and do a great job with them, also. The bun didn’t fall apart, which usually happens, and our burgers were stacked and looked great. Our burgers were all make correctly, the fries were crispy and the portions were generous. If you’re not lucky enough to eat here in October, you’d be happy to stop here in another month when you don’t have such a wait (and they still do take out outside of October!) Also? The day before Halloween and their bathroom is one of the cleanest I’ve seen during the entire month of October. Props, Village Tavern crew, for offering a nice bathroom to your customers during the hardest month of the year to keep it nice!!

I ate here twice when I was on vacation last spring and I might have had the BEST nachos of my life at this place! My wife and I also managed to stumble upon Pub Trivia night here and had a blast! My second meal here was a hamburger and it was excellent as well. Super impressed with this place!

Jessica & her staff were completely amazing. I’m immunocompromised so our large group needed to sit outside for my safety, but it wasn’t even an issue seating us outside despite the chilly temps. Jessica was so friendly, knowledgeable, and so attentive. She made our visit to Village Tavern even more amazing (& the food was absolutely stellar). Thank you so much!

Had an awesome burger with bacon and blue cheese and the chicken sandwich- we split and each had a 1/2 . The burger was way better. The beer was delicious. Our waitress was a great help in picking beer and food and great to ask about the area and other restaurants. Delicious fries and the Avacado fries were really good.

Our first time eating here. We ordered a regular burger, one nachos to share for 4, a grilled cheese for our birthday niece, & 1 large Greek salad, 1 small Greek salad & a beer. Our waitress was great, fast, helpful, & there for us. Thank you- We all finished our meals & enjoyed. We will be back.

Came here for lunch with a friend and it was great! We both got lobster rolls that were perfectly tasty along with the drinks. Considering the market price for lobster right now, it also was fairly priced. The waitress was very friendly and the outdoor seating was right by a pretty fountain to look at.

The Village Tavern was absolutely wonderful! We were done in Salem an hour early for our reservation so we hung out at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender was very kind and attentive and we had a great time waiting which is not always the case in most places!

Everyone we interacted with who worked there was friendly including our fantastic waitress. We did joke about the steak tips because the menu claims they are the "best in America" but it seems to be true because they were absolutely outstanding! My salad and burger were fantastic and so was the prime rib. We wanted to stay for trivia but had a ghost tour to get to (we should have stayed it would have been much more fun). I would absolutely go back if I was in Salem again and highly recommend it!

Food good love the vibe of the place. Sat out on the patio. Food was fantastic alas like all getting out experience now a days the prices are a little high but fair with the times. Regardless I still have lunch here almost everytime I go to the witch mall.

Had an excellent night at Village Tavern last week. The food was really good, especially the steak tips which really may be the best steak tips in America. The GM, Rob, stopped by our table multiple times to make sure our service was great. Highly recommend!

I love the food here and I usually get a burger but I recently ordered the Tomahawk Steak and it was unbelievable. Perfectly seasoned and cooked and the best part; only $65 with 2 sides! Check out pictures for more details.

Our service was EXCELLENT! I wished we lived closer so Jessica could be my new best friend. Got the Rueben and it was literally the best one I ever eaten. The baked Haddock was something out of this world. It was so fresh and flaky. We got meat lovers pizza and beef stew as well. Rave reviews all around!

Absolutely amazing experience! We came on 10/30 around 6 pm so it was extremely busy, however the staff ran the place like a well ordered machine. Our server Mary was Absolutely fantastic. Everything we ordered came out hot, correct, and we got our food rather quickly. The drinks we ordered were absolutely fantastic. Truly a stunning customer experience. I couldn't recommend this place any harder. We came from Maine and we will ABSOLUTELY be back!

Great place to sit outside on a nice day and do some witch people watching! We had a short wait, but what an interesting place to wait. A few benches in line would be a nice thing for tired feet, though. The server was excellent, and meals and drinks were served promptly. The clam chowder was excellent, and the Bourbon burger, truffle fries and side salad were all very good, too! Loved this place!

Several locals advised we eat here and it was a great choice. There were so many great things on the menu, with vegetarian options as well, to choose from.

The night we dined it was trivia night and it was a fun & lively atmosphere.

Our server, Ryan, was very friendly and provided excellent service. This is close to the shops, the Witch Museum, and more.

This place was great! Kristin F was fantastic and helped make sure my mom and I would receive our food on time to leave for our tour by asking the kitchen before we ordered. The food was so good! Mom and I split a salad and flatbread. Perfect amount for two people. Really appreciated the hospitality. Highly recommend! From one Kristin to another, thanks girl!!

Came with my girlfriend yesterday as we were exploring the witch mall, we discovered this place. What caught our attention was that this place won the best tasting burgers in Salem for 6 years in a row and we needed to try it. They weren’t wrong. Our burgers were delicious, and so were the fries and onion rings. Our server Timothy was awesome. He took care of us and kept asking us if we needed refills or anything else. If we come back to Salem, we’re definitely heading back here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Tucker was an amazing server and brought plenty and entertainment to our table. He was very attentive too! The inside was absolutely stunning with stained glass chandeliers. The food is on the lil bit of the pricey side but it is absolutely delicious and i would highly recommend the chili! They also provide gender neutral bathrooms which is another plus to this amazing place!

This place was great! We arrived just as it was opening to find an empty bar and very fast service. Great beer selection, the cooling rail for beer was awesome, and the bartender was nice. The food was very good, no complaints at all on time and taste. The prices were decent too. I really love the beer quotes on the wall.

We had a good experience here we stopped in to Salem for a few hours to check out the October scene an came across here. We had a little wait to get a table which was fine as there were street performers keeping us entertained while we waited. Food was good bar was a little slow but that was a given being how busy it was. Server did an outstanding job making sure we were taken care of. Can only imagine how tough it must be to keep up with these large crowds during this season.
