Great wax museum inside the oldest bank building in Salem (1803), and they make use of the old vaults, so it's a unique setup. If you are a fan of horror films and their history, you'll like this place. There are placards throughout the gallery that provide a lot of little known facts/trivia about the actors and films throughout horror cinema history. No photos allowed in the gallery, just in the shop. Gift shop is small, but charming. My daughter and I really enjoyed it.

Very awesome attraction in Salem. The wax figures looked real and spooky. I took my daughter's, who are 3 and 6 they had a blast. I would consider this attraction family-friendly, but some people may think differently.

- this place is super cool if you love horror movies, lots of cool things to see, and have a nice gift shop as well.

- you cannot take pics of anything in the museum, which is a bummer but understandable.

- prices for everything are not bad, tickets were $15 per person if I remember correctly.

- lots of cool merchandise in the gift shop.

- staff friendly but do and will enforce no photography.

- overall a good first experience here and definitely recommend this place. It's probably one of the best things to see while in Salem if you like horror movies.

You don't need to be a horror fan to enjoy this place (I'm not) but some knowledge of cinema will greatly enhance your experience.
From the very beginning, you realize that this museum takes very seriously its monsters' portrayal. The wax figures are extremely lifelike and very detailed. Signs with interesting info and curious facts are attached to the displays. The music and the lighting creates an adequately eerie atmosphere.
All the great monsters of cinematic history are here from Nosferatu to Jason to Jigsaw and beyond. And there's memorabilia too. A must for horror fans, a should for cinephiles, a why not for the rest.

Very fun and detailed statues and horror culture props + more! This location was great to walk through and had some of the most recognizable horror figures in history with some awesome extra little surprises along the way. I would recommend going to this attraction greatly!

Been to this place twice and enjoyed it both times!! I def think they added a new character or two since being there, so nice to see if they keep it fresh! I understand why they don’t wants pics, no biggie for me, more of keeping it a mystery and enjoying the moment/reading the plaques about the characters. The only thing that sucked this time is, we bought timed tickets at 3 and didn’t get in until like 3:17 but it was middle of October, not a big surprise. Would def go again!

There are a lot of great small museums/exhibits in Salem, but Count Orlock's is by far my favorite. The exhibits are very well done, with interesting tidbits of information. The models themselves are interesting to look at. The ambience of the place also really adds to the exhibits. Staff are always super friendly as well.

I enjoy history and I like good horror and sci-fi movies. If you enjoy both, you have to check this museum out! "Chi chi chi, ha ha ha!" Ummm, who said that!
You have to purchase your tickets 🎟 online to enter. It was easy to do. You are told the rules before entering, no touching or photos, except for the gift shop.
Mannequins are the central exhibits with information posted right next to them. The 👀 eyes were so lifelike on a few of them that I began to wonder if it would move. "We all float down here!" Huh, what?!
You will see if you collectibles and molds of faces that were taken of actual actors. The museum is dimly lit and there are strobe lights. In one room a movie was playing, "The Bride of Frankenstein", not -steen!
The only spoiler I will give is, nope, no Godzilla. "More brains!" Woah! Who said that?!
Only issue was the wall with actual autographed photos of actors/actresses who appeared in movies. The wall was dimly lit, understandable, but it made it difficult to read.
I recommend a visit if you enjoy the horror genre. I'm hoping one day that they will add mannequins of the actual actors who played the characters on display. Seeing Vincent Price would be interesting.
The closer you get to Halloween the busier this museum is. There can be a line outside the door.

Amazing figures, best in town compared to all the lesser quality mannequins in the other museums around here. Definitely worth the visit if you’re a horror fan.

FANTASTIC tour. I was so excited for the Lifting The Coffin tour and it exceeded my expectations. If you’re a fan of horror movies, you MUST do this tour! It was SO fun. The figures are extremely realistic and look just like they do in the movies. James is awesome. And the aesthetic and music was so fitting. It was great to meet someone who has the same appreciation for horror films! James also asked a lot of fun horror movie trivia questions throughout the tour! I’m so excited to come back and see the new exhibits James has in the future. This was my favorite tour in Salem!!

Worth every penny. Not only for the amazing sculptures, themes, but mainly I loved the life casts. The space was so much fun to learn and explore and the gift shop has a ton of merch.

Yes it's true that in a world centered around selfies you are not allowed to take photos in the museum, and yes they are very strict about it. That being said, the wax figures are extremely well done. The ambiance is effectively spooky with mood lighting and creepy music. The path through the museum is tight and well done to allow you a surprise around each corner. If you like horror movies, this is a must see. I was the only one in the museum on this particular off-peak time of day, and I spent almost 45 minutes in there.

Um...heck yeah. The detail and love that went into the figures and lore of this place is worth every penny. Plus the owner is cool.

We visited Halloween weekend, and this place quickly became one of my favorites in Salem. Some of the figures brought me back to my childhood! Staff was friendly, too. Super cool museum!

Really cool place for fans of Horror and Sci-Fi. Includes lots of wax figures and mannequins of classic and modern Horror greats! There were lots of boards that had fun facts about the production of the films and you you can spend a lot of time there getting to know all about your favourite movies!

I would love if this place was larger, but it was still a wonderful place to visit and is a must-see when in Salem!

My fiancé and I absolutely loved Count Orlok’s Nightmare Gallery. We were visiting Salem on Sunday and went in not knowing what to expect but were very impressed with the realistic wax figures and information provided on the placards. My fiancé is a horror film junkie, me not so much, but we both agreed that this was our favorite part of the day. Staff was very nice and clearly took pride in the experience. If you’re a horror fan or simply looking to get into the spooky spirit, I highly recommend you pay CONG a visit! 👻

I’m not usually a horror film fan, but this place takes the cake. If you know anything about horror or monster films, you’ll want to visit. I expected something campy, but this is a high quality small exhibit of characters and more. It’s my first time visiting a wax museum, and this was very impressive!

This place is AWESOME!!! Can’t take picture of the inside while touring the museum but believe me when I say it’s worth the money. Very cool experience in Salem. Definitely should visit if you can!

SO GOOD! Very glad we got to do this! We were there the weekend of Oct 14th so of course all the lines were crazy! We moved on to another shop and had to circle back, but it would have been worth the wait anyway! The figures are so life-like and the other artifacts/props were cool as well!
