Fabulous chicken wings! The meat department is excellent & very accommodating; if you don't see exactly what you want in the meat case, just ask! They either have it in the walk-in or can often cut the, uh, cut of meat you want (at least when it comes to beef). You can also have your meat 'cubed' for you if you ask!

Nice selection of beer, wine, & spirits, if that's your thing.

It's a small market in comparison to the supermarket chains in the area, but they've always had nearly everything I need!

If you want the best meat go there you can have it cut anyway you like I love that place I've been going there for 30 years just gets better. And don't forget the prices cheaper than any other place.

Just placed a large online order from Virginia. Lot of different foods from linguica to massa to cheese. Everything arrived fresh and in great shape. We love Chaves from our days in Fall River. Great Portuguese food that you just can't get down here. And great service. Obrigado!!

This is a great downtown Portuguese market, right in the heart of Fall River. Their food is fresh, they make their own chouriço and linguica, and the service is attentive and friendly.

The butchers and seafood staff are knowledgeable and helpful - and are prepared to share their expertise. The selection of cheeses are impressive as well.

They sell a lot of Portuguese specialties but also stock the staple goods every good market should have.

We never pass by Chaves when we go to Fall River.

Great Portuguese merchandise: great butcher shop, bakery, charcuterie and gift items. Friendly service. The place is addictive. I wish they would open a location near Boston!

Love this place very very good store. They have raw meat, fish as well as cooked food. They also have wine and liquor. And other things like food. Very clean staff are nice they speak english and Portuguese.

For lovers of oysters, Chaves carries Duxbury or Wellfleet oysters.
