Beautiful nature preserve and gardens with open vistas of Berkshires. Walking path to Tytus mansion ruins adds the charm to the experience. No problem with parking on summer weekday. The only missing element of the puzzle is absence of public restrooms of any kind. The place is quite magical in a good weather.

Amazing location, probably one of my new favorites for photography spots. From where we come from its a little bit of a drive but crazy worth it. Definitely coming back because there is so much to see in this area. The hike is not a long or vigorous one, which makes it perfect for getting to where you want to be. A short climb up the mountain and you are in the heart of the abandoned mansion. Upon your decent there is other ruins and eventually you are met with a garden with some old relics. I was very happy to find this place and the kids loved it too!

Easy hike and a real neat experience at the end, seeing the old ruins of this mansion. You can see pictures of the original house inside the barn, if you can get in. The entrance to the trail was a little hard to find, but just go behind the barn. It's not a typical trail so you're walking on grass and you'll start to find paths.

What a “hidden gem!” We were the only ones visiting. It was so beautiful and interesting to find an untouched run. Slightly dangerous for little kids if not watched closely.

Ashintully is the site of the remains of a burnt down mansion and some fancy gardens. The mansion is a little 10 minute or so hike up a hill, so pretty accessible but certainly not paved. The gardens were a little... eclectic. Not my taste but very pretty and the scenery was gorgeous. I don't know why there were so few people there and so few reviews here-- it's FREE!

A wonderful stroll through the gardens and climb to the ruins of the estate house. A fall walk that begs to be done among the changing leaves. Enjoy.

Beautiful public gardens. The hike to the "Marble House" ruins is along a clearly labeled wooded path. We were able to take a baby in a jogging stroller with us as well. Going clockwise the incline is less steep. After completing the loop, the manicured lawns amongst the tall trees and meandering creek provided a perfect backdrop to a relaxing afternoon stroll.

On a weekday in mid May, we saw only one other couple here.

Came here on a rainy day. The garden seemed to be well maintained and looked interesting. No admission fee as far as I know

Btw, let’s not post photos of ruins here

Beautiful place! Great for our cosplay photoshoot. Definitely worth a stop to explore the ruins. We were a bit early in the year for the gardens, but still a nice visit.

It’s a little bit of a hike up to the ruins, but definitely worth it! The pillars and what’s left of the foundation are really cool! It must have been a magnificent mansion before it burnt down!

It’s a small hike to see the ruins but it’s uphill. So if you are out of shape like me you will be pretty winded 😂

The coolest adventurous place we have been to in a whileeee!! We went to BashBish Falls and on the way home wanted to stop by here. Glad we did because the views here are so breathtaking. We took some gorgeous photos of ourselves and the Mansion Ruins, had fun trekking up there, and met a fun couple of hikers on the way too! Would definitely recommend this location for a photoshoot spot. Just be careful not to get lost because nothing is labeled on how to get up there.

It's a moderate but nice hike. The ruins are great. Whole trip took about 45 minutes. Enjoyed the pillars most.
