Grouse House Restaurant at Otis Ridge

Excellent food and cocktails, excellent service and a nice firepit to sit at after dinner. Really wished we would've been able to stay at the hotel. Dates were booked solid. Would definitely recommend for anyone passing through. We are on a road trip from Maryland to Maine and this was our first stop.

Clean and neat! First time visiting. Staff was really friendly. They were really running the tables inside and out on the lawn. It made me appreciate my meal more. The food was excellent on it's own, but seeing some of the hard work it takes to get to get it to me hot and fresh really made me feel catered. BTW there is great scenery as well. I hope you would feel as relaxed here as I did.

Delicious food in a warm and welcoming environment. The waitstaff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Prices reasonable. The Grouse House offers a totally enjoyable dining experience. Certainly worth the trip up the long staircase to a view of the slopes, meet the owners and have a great meal. If the stairs are too much, they offer curb side take out so it's everything you could ask for in a great local treasure.

This was my husband and I's first visit here while we were staying at an airbnb in Becket. I easily made a reservation online and we were sat right away in a cozy spot inside next to the window. We had a beautiful view and service couldn't have been better. We enjoyed nachos to start, a burger, a mozzarella and tomato salad and finally the most amazing smores cake I ever had! We were checked on by our server frequently and the host. It was a great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely adore this quaint and classy restaurant with a view of the skiers coming down the mountain. The staff were fantastic, took the time to get to know you and always kept my glass full. The food is stellar, fresh, and imbued with passion. Highly recommend the French onion soup, as it is the best I’ve had anywhere!

A Fantastic meal. When yr ordering takeout during a pandemic, yr expectations are kinda low. But Grouse House was SUCH a pleasant surprise! Beautiful salmon, perfectly cooked NY strip. All the veg was tender-crisp & not overcooked. HUGE salads. Can’t say enough good about it. SO very grateful for a lovely meal in tough times.

Welcoming, warm atmosphere, with great view of skiers down slopes. Menu is diverse and always prepared very well. My favorite is the special autumn salad with a choice of grilled salmon or chicken. Steak was perfectly cooked for my husband.

Fantastic location in an interesting and historic building. I climbed the stairs outside to the top floor where the restaurant is located and enter the completely renovated bar and restaurant. Staff members are all smiles and very welcoming. I've dined at the bar twice now. You have to try the lobster mac and cheese, delicious! Great service, scrumptious food and an all around delightful experience. I'll absolutely be returning! Highly recommend.

The food was great. Smoked sirloin tips with goat cheese, ribs,beans, smoked salmon, fish and chips, and lastly, Jim's burger with pulled pork was over the top.
Service was great.
We will be back.

One of the best bbq we ever had! Ribs were meaty and delicious. They are every generous with the amount of food given as well. So glad we stopped!!!

There are not a ton of nice places to eat in the area so this is really a find. The people here are always warm and lovely, the food is consistently great and there is local beer on tap. Plus if you get the timing right in season, you can see the snow being made right outside the window!

Hubby and I went for dinner ordered steak, was melt in your mouth delicious! Watching skiers while eating very entertaining. Great atmosphere we will be back.

Absolutely fantastic, my boyfriend’s and my favorite place. The food is amazing, the excellent remembered us after only one visit, management is present, attentive, and very friendly. Love it!

Stopping in off season...By myself, I had dinner at the bar...Bartender, sorry that I didn't get her name, was delightful...Ordered a medium rare ribeye...was cooked perfectly and was much larger than I expected...quite a deal at $28...Bar was sparkling clean and had an opportunity to chat with some very nice locals...I'll certainly go back!

Very pleasurable place, good food, service and family oriented. During winter you can watch families ski at Otis Ridge right from the dinner table.

Mike makes the best ribs I've ever had, coleslaw was awesome, as well as the mac&cheese, along with the atmosphere. Loved watching the skiers coming down the hill.
