The Well Restaurant + Bar

We stopped by The Well Restaurant and Bar today for a drink and a quick bite. And we are sure glad we did! Emily greeted us with a smile! She was our bartender and server as well. We ordered chicken tenders with Buffalo dipping sauce and the Go Greens salad with Ranch & Cesear dressings on the side. These were enough to share and everything was delicious!!! The 413 was a tasty blend of bourbon and apple cider. I cannot remember the beer, but it was tasty, too. The atmosphere was awesome with exposed brick and stone. The hanging lights were cool. Loved the Christmas decorations! Highly recommend! We look forward to going back there soon! Emily was the BEST!!! 🤩

Everything about this place was good. It’s a little tucked away but really cozy inside with some cool decorations. We got the Well Burger, the Mac N Cheese, and the Nachos and everything tasted delicious. There was also plenty left over to take home which is always a plus. Service was really fast and helpful even though the restaurant was full (on a Tuesday night). Overall everything was great and I have no complaints.

I'm so glad I found this place. We are from out of town and were looking for a place for dinner after skiing. This restaurant was small but we got a table right away. The burgers were so good, and the martinis were excellent. Our server was very friendly and attentive. After we ate, we moved to the bar to finish our drinks. The bartender was very nice. Wish we lived closer because I would be back frequently!

I can only speak about late night bar stuff which was suitably excellent. Good crowd, good community. Good drinks.

I really liked this restaurant. The vibe was nice, and the music playlist was pretty lit. The Mac and cheese was flavorful, and the Buffalo sauce on the wings was so good.

I had bbq and Buffalo wings with Mac and cheese, my friend had wings and Parmesan truffle fries. My other friend had the Cobb salad and garlic bread. Will definitely visit again.

Small place, but very popular. We enjoyed the atmosphere, service & food. My husband had a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion &, wait for it, peanut butter. He loved it.

We were looking for a nice place to eat when we came up to the Great Barrington/Lee area of Mass. from Southern Connecticut and using Google maps for restaurant recommendations this place stood out. My Wife and I decided to give The Well a try as the reviews were very good and the menu had the type of food that we like when eating out. It's a very small place with a good size bar and about 6 tables and 4 booth seats. Of course you can eat at the bar too. The service was very good and the wait staff were very friendly and new the menu well. Our food was out with in 20 minutes of ordering and it was smoking hot. I had the Philly Steak and Cheese Hero and my Wife had Popcorn Shrimp. Both were delicious. Like I said it is a bit small but the old brick and stone walls gave it a good appearance and felt like it was more intimate than some huge restaurant. Definitely worth trying out if you are in the area. If I had to classify the restaurant I would say it's American food.

Fantastic food! We tried the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, meatloaf, and chicken parm and they were all great! Service is very fast and friendly. Ambiance is quite nice. Cocktail and beer list is subpar.

The wait staff is so friendly. Especially Kat, who was patient, skilled, considerate, and best of all hilarious. Food was great, we loved the Caeser salad especially. And the best sign of a good restaurant? AMAZING FRIES!

Great Onion rings,Moist blacken chicken sandwich. Best fries! Hugh ribeye ,cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced. Excellent service.

I wasn't planning to have dinner at this bar as I was going to just sit at the bar for a couple of drink but I changed my mind after I saw the food that was coming out from the kitchen.
The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere was just great.

Delicious rib eye, perfectly cooked, yummy green beans and lovely mashed potatoes. Eric on the bar...exceptional service..Slainte...oh yes Cosmo and espresso martini...perfect dessert😊

A friend and I came in for something to go before we played the Mahaiwe Theatre. I got the salmon and being from the Northwest I didn't have any expectations. But this place knocked it out of the park! The salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned - not overcooked and dry like it's so easy to do (esp if you're busy). And they were busy with the pre-show crowd. The staff were very kind and didn't seem too phased to accommodate us. My pal got the burger and said it was also amazing. Don't pass this gem by.

Delicious! We were visiting GB from out of town and didn’t know where to eat. The Well came highly recommended, so we came by for dinner and absolutely loved it! The food was fresh and delicious, the service was great, and the ambience was very cozy and friendly. There are plenty of food options (including gluten free and vegetarian) that are fresh and locally sourced, and the bar menu is great! Kat was awesome - very personable and attentive. Five stars - highly recommend!

Nice little place to hit after skiing! Great cocktail and drink menu to help rehydrate and plenty of good snacks to munch on. Plate sizes are big enough to share and are well seasoned. Overall was a solid spot, menu was not unique, but it is a great casual bar! Also service was great as well. Would recommend!

Great vibe in small below street level place. My house-qued pulled pork sandwich, served on a sweet challah roll with fries, was very good, as was the on-tap beer selection. Pleasant staff.
Follow up: Have eaten here every time that I visit the Berkshires; consistently excellent . Best pub style restaurant in the area.

After our first time visiting, we'd definitely go back. The French onion soup was divine and so were the onion rings and hamburger.

Great service, food and drinks! My go to when I’m out in Great Barrington.
