Guido's Fresh Marketplace

My happy place and I think one of the best supermarkets in New England. A few years back they totally refreshed the store and nailed it. Such a range of interesting stuff, local farm products, organic produce, international, wines and spirits, amazing meat and fish counters, breads and prepared foods. Outstanding cheese section with self serve samples. I live two hours away but after having their kale salad I will make a trip to pick some up and see what else is happening there every few months. High end prices so I can't see buying regular supermarket staples there but if you are a foodie and just wanna chill and comb the aisles and pick up items you don’t see at other places Guidos rules and definitely worth the trip.

Always fantastic! I could live here. Seriously. I never want to leave. What an amazing experience where you can actually shop for healthy, wholesome fresh food 15/10. THANK YOU. You should inspire all other grocery stores to be and do better.

Fantastic cheese monger and helpful staff to assist the inexperienced cheese lover. Produce is always fresh and plentiful. Highly recommend the seafood counter where friendly staff assist choices and provide background on cooking, storage tips. Butcher counter has variety of choice meats and some very interesting options like lamb kafta, beef teriyaki, and gourmet burgers. They will gladly grind some lamb for my specialty dishes while i wait and offer vacuum sealed packaging when asked. Don’t miss the new burrito, pizza or smoothie stations. Guido’s is not to be missed, the additional gift shop and Chef Shop are a huge bonus.

My favorite food store in the world (and being French. i have many references…): wonderful and diverse products, amazing cheese and bread sections, incredibly helpful and nice staff. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

Tonight we ate the prepared brisket. It was delicious.

This is a destination market worth our 45 minute drive. The staff are kind, the selections superb, especially of cheese, fish, meats and organic vegetables and fruit.. You can find all manner of hard to secure ethnic specialties. The house prepared foods, particularly the soups are worth the journey. We always load up on La Fermiere yoghurt and perhaps a few bottles of fine French wine. If you are a senior, the 10 percent discount on most Mon-Wed is a plus (doesn't apply to the wine).

I ordered food for a family reunion. I dealt with the over the phone. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. I had a positive experience.

Even better after their massive expansion! Prices have always been a little higher on some things but it’s usually worth it. The people are friendly, the store is clean, and the produce is very fresh. They have an excellent selection of everything you could need and carry a solid number of local products. Great cheese selection and amazing meat department.

Guido's in Great Barrington is fabulous! You are not fighting your way through the aisles like their other store. Staff is very friendly, and customers seem much happier! I will gladly drive an extra 20 minutes to come here. Great pizza here! Great selection of specialty food and beverages!

Super pricey I spend $5-600 on two boxes of groceries most visits (* if I have adult houseguests) . $3-400 if it's just my fiance & I with my 10yr old children visiting the weekend.
They use Mazzeo's as their in house butcher & fish - both of which equal the finest purveyors in NYC , or anywhere.

Quality at a price. If time allows just buy meat & fish and special fridge items like Fearless Franks gourmet beef hot dogs - and fresh pastas- house made dijon mustard & great ceasar salad dressing:)

This is a grocery shopping experience extraordinaire. In addition to food there are flowers and an extensive collection of other gifts. The food selection variety and quality is impressive. An amazing adventure. Love it!

We are not from the area, but when ever we travel through Great Barrington we stop. Excellent selection of fruits, vegetables, imported cheese. Meats and fish always look fresh. Wish was closer so could stop more often.

Oh I wished i had known about this place a long time ago. My new favorite shopping market and my God that she's selection makes me so happy.

I was impressed with the service at the butcher. Friendly, efficient and helpful. The store is well stocked with high quality food. The prices are on par with Whole Foods. Just be aware of that. It can get very crowded so early mornings may be your best bet to avoid crowds. The registers move along well. The parking lot is a bit of a wreck. I believe they are doing construction? You can always park in the shopping center lot if required.

I love this store. The prices are fair for the quality of food, and the food is absolutely fantastic. I literally fly the 54 minutes, just to shop here. The local scallops are second to none. The meat department is fantastic. The produce section must employ Bacchus himself to keep the fruit as fresh and ripe as it is. And the liquor section is a true gem with wonderful selections, at great prices! The cheese department could use some lower priced options, however, everything they sell is quality.

Quite a place. A bit pricey, but their selection is fantastic.
