Outstanding flavor! We had the Garlic Naan, Chicken Coconut Korma, Bengan Bhartha, Butter Chicken.

Got to try the Naan, one of the best I had.
Bengan Bhartha and Coconut Korma has a great balance of flavor and spices. First time trying and will get again.

Butter Chicken was good but the flavor profile was different from what I’m use to.

Overall service was good but felt a bit rushed to get an order placed. We were still looking at the menu and chatting about what to get.

This place is amazing. The food is amazing. The service is always good. I love going here. I got the butter chicken and my husband got the chicken tikka special it all tasted so good and it was so filling. Great price and good portion size. Highly recommend coming here!

I’m amending my review in light of the owner reaching out to us to make things right:

I would first like to point out that I’ve removed the main incident from my review as in light of the owner having terminated the offending party from the business.

The owner invited us to the restaurant to make a personal apology and comped us a meal as well.
I definitely appreciate her sensitivity in the matter and I am satisfied with how the matter has been resolved both with us as well as internationally at the restaurant.
Having said that we will absolutely be giving Great India another chance and I recommend you do as well.

March 2024 update:
My previous experience here with spice levels was a bummer, but I’m so glad I came back! I ordered Medium spice level on the butter chicken and shahi paneer, I’d say the medium is less spicy than a jalapeño for comparison. If you’re nervous about it being too hot you can err on the side of caution and just ask for hot sauce on the side to kick it up to your desired level. Flavor was great and service was exceptional.

This might be the best Indian food I’ve had in Salt Lake City. We got chicken tikka Marsala, butter chicken, garlic naan, and samosas. The butter chicken in particular was so flavorful and delicious! The samosas are also huge! Definitely recommend!

The flavor of the food is awesome and I have liked everything I have tried. They have lots of options for my wife who is vegetarian and avoids gluten. Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines and the food here is as good as the really busy ones. Skip the long wait at Bombay House and go hear instead!

Loved their dishes! Mainly the tika masala - whether it’s chicken or shrimp or fish, it’s delicious. Their in-house garlic naan is delicious, and my favorite of all- Goat Curry-. don’t be afraid to get the medium level of spicy- it’s not bad, it’s just a light burn- which brings out the flavor more. Next time I’m getting small the dishes in medium level rather than mild.

The homemade pistachio ice cream is so unique and delicious they deserve an award. We've never had anything quite like it. The food and service has always been fantastic. Family owners seem to take great pride in their business.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the Salt Lake area. As someone who’s spent time in India I have high standards and this is personal favorite. Chicken coconut korma, tikka masala and garlic naan were phenomenal. Definitely will be returning!

This place is soooo good everything on the menu is amazing, seriously everything!! The Naan 🫓 with garlic with cheese with anything is just so tasty.
Not to mention the great service from the owners and the rest of the staff is always ready to help with a smile.

Give it a shot you won’t be dissatisfied

We are Indian food fanatics and I’ve got to say this is the best place We have been yet! Everything was either on par with the best I’ve had elsewhere or BETTER. We got the Aloo Gobi and the butter chicken with the garlic naan and sweet naan. Not in anyway disappointed, the staff were kind and quick with serving us, not to mention it’s a family run business which we love! YOU WONT REGRET IT!

This place by far exceeded our expectations. We were reluctant to go to an Indian restaurant after a mediocre experience in Park City but am happy we did! We were the only group in the restaurant at the time so we got extra speedy service. The flavors were great, they have vegetarian options which I appreciate and garlic naan was so good! The waitress refilled our waters 3x and was very attentive. Will be back!

Good Indian food. Authentic food, friendly service. Not the best I've had, but most of the dishes were good, service was great. Might be some personal preference, but overall nothing really disappointing.
Really good naan bread, some of the best. Tikka masala was ok. Pretty heavy emphasis on the tomato flavor. Coconut korma was probably the best dish that we tried. Vindaloo was good, not amazing.
When you order they ask you what level of spicy you want. Our group got "American medium" at the recommendation of the server because she said you really needed a little bit of spice for some flavor. 2/3 people thought the food was probably too spicy and would have wanted less spice.

I am traveling, stopped in to grab something different. Food was wonderful. I had onion Poblk... something, as appetizer, chicken tikkie Marsalis, and garlic chillie Naan bread. It was all great.
Looks to be a family buisness with repeat regulars as I would be if I lived near.
Nice staff, explaind the spices and sauce.
Highly recomend, it is very fresh.

These guys have all the precautions signs up. Like please wear your mask but none of the patron's were wearing one and the workers all wore there mask and they didnt care if you did or not. I ordered there veg samosas it had a nice crispy crust and the flavors were very nice price was very reasonable. This place also serves soups like saag and I've never seen that at Bombay or Indian palace but then again they may have and I didn't notice. The mango chicken was very nice just the right sweetness I asked for med heat and it was perfect. there Garlic naan was very good. The place was spotless and we will definently come back to try there many other dishes. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

The staff accommodated our large party of about 10. We tried lots of dishes and everything was delicious and decently affordable.

Most amazing Indian food I’ve had in Salt Lake and Utah County hands down! The quality of the ingredients is top notch. The service was amazing. Super friendly and helpful.

One of the best Indian places we have ever eaten!! Everything is so delicious, you can’t go wrong :) also love that it is a family owned and operated business. The owners were so sweet and kind to us! And one of the cleanest Indian restaurants we’ve eaten at!

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Small, quiet, hole in the wall place that I can't get enough of. Every time I go here I eat way more than I should and have leftovers to take home. Every person working there has been very are happy and friendly. The Naan bread and roti are spectacular and something you should order by default. The tandoori and butter chicken are the best I've had in Utah. Also, try the mango ice cream, it's like a mango dreamsicle.

Very clean, friendly servers, AMAZING food. We ordered the vegetable coconut korma, lamb vindaloo, and butter chicken. We also got ourselves both garlic and sweet naan, and they were both amazing. Do yourself a monstrous favor and order a side of raita (yogurt sauce) to dump on your food. Truly the best Indian food I have had in SLC.
