Went to renew my tags today and was greeted at the door when they opened by Mary. She was also the person that took care of me when it was time for me to renew my tags. She was so kind and helpful. The line was super long when I arrived at 8:30 when they opened. I had 35 people in front of me and I was out in an hour. Best experience I have had at that location!

I had a person in training and she was great! My son got his first car today! Good day all around. It was a long wait at this location but what do you expect in the city. They were helpful in making announcements to make sure everyone could get their questions answered ahead of time.

No waiting! Plus: Consistently provides timely additional advice for seamless processing. They lmk no fees would be added to payment made via checkbook.

I had a very pleasant experience here, all of the staff were very respectful, helpful, and efficient. They even have a way for you to e-mail them a digital .PDF of your proof of insurance now ahead of time if you don't have, or cannot find paper copies of them. Seemed busy to me, and even then, I only had to wait about 15-20 minutes to be helped. That's a record time for this type of service in my book.

Had an awesome experience with Lauren today. She was friendly, professional and happily took the extra time to work through my complicated situation. Outstanding service!

I must say that they are doing a great and best job possible to keep everyone safe and still provide the services. They of course have high number of people visiting after the reopening and the employees were doing a great job to direct people, reduce the crowd in the indoor space and manage to be nice to everyone. I visited this location several times during the day to catch a glimpse of the crowd and it had long line outside from 8 am to 4 pm. I noticed, if you go after 4 pm, they will still let you in by giving you a piece of paper with a number on it. I arrived here at 4.10 pm and there were less than 4 people next to me. After I went in, they still allowed new people until 4.31 pm. So if you want to avoid the crowd, I would suggest going in after 4 pm. I stood in line at 4.10 pm and got out at 4.50 pm.

Louisville is maybe one of the few cities in the world where people can say they love going to their "DMV". We are so lucky to have our county clerk, who cares, is experienced, and keeps the offices organized and focused on customer service. The staff are knowledgeable and so quick yet through and friendly.

Had an excellent experience obtaining new plates. The whole staff was prepared and efficient with COVID-19 regulations. Mary was so kind and knowledgeable in reviewing everything I need and what I needed to complete. Sheriff completing inspection was also kind and efficient. Was NOT expecting to leave with the county clerk’s office with a smile, but the whole staff made it happen!

Had a vehicle inspection here. Javier Wilson, the sheriff, was super friendly and fast. Totally would do it again here!

I use this place to register my car every year which is typically a much dreaded task....however the crew in this office are so helpful and kind I no longer worry about going! They have been incredibly busy every single time I have been there but have always helped everyone in a fairly proficient and quick manner. Glad they're here!

I would have never have thought that the co. Clerk’s office is a pleasant experience. Today, I was greeted by LaNitre, who was so great! She took time to answer my dumb questions. Thanks!

Go here first! Very efficient staff and spacious waiting area inside. Got here at about 8:30 AM with 10 people in front of me. Was out by 8:45 AM having to do two registrations. Staff even accommodated folks who had to get out of line for inspection and let them get back into line where they originally belonged. A refreshing experience you should try!

Excellent: Manager was directing the customers, disinfecting chairs after each customer. Agent who was helping me, went out of the way to help me charge my phone so I can speak with my insurance company for insurance verification and did not have to come back.

Middle of the month on a Friday morning for license plate - no problem. They had at least 8 windows open - I had to leave and go outside to get my car inspected and when I finished the clerk took me next rather than waiting in line again. Good service.

Probably thest best experience I have had at a county clerks office in Louisville. The staff was super friendly, greated me with a warm welcome when I enteted and had smiles on their faces. Props to the environment in this facility! Carnae, the manager, has done a great job making sure staff is friendly and warm. Terisha was training another employee and did a great job walking her through everything all while having a nice conversation with me sitting there. Katherine was in training and was super sweet and asked for guidance immediately instead of trying to start something she was unfamiliar with and wasting our time. I really appreciated that. I will definitely be heading back to that location for any of our future county clerk needs!!!

Quick efficient employees do not waste time give information that is correct and useful.

One of the most helpful govt places.. staff gives your accurate info without sounding rude. Always willing to help and polite. Speedy services and fully staffed most of the time. Highly recommended.

I went at 10:30 on Wednesday morning and there was no wait at all. I have been before and have always had to take a number and sit. The sheriff did an out-of-state vehicle inspection and I had the title and plate processed in no time at all.

I was helped by Gretchen. She was awesome. Happy, polite, and courteous. She organized my tags and papers for our two cars. I wish all those grouchy people could take lessons from Gretchen!
