Oh yeah!!! This little jewel here was amazing! The oxtail grilled cheese..... listen here... IT'S A MUST TRY!!! The jerk jack, cabbage, Carrigan cornbread. YES!!! Those Candied yams were food, just too sweet for me. Make your way there, you won't be disappointed

Such a great experience! Staff was welcoming and friendly. They helped us with menu choices as this was our first visit. Very cool vibe in the restaurant. Some of the best jerk chicken in the city- flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Other things we tried and loved: cabbage, mac & cheese, saffron rice, rice & peas, and beef patty. If you like Caribbean food, you’ll love this place. It is a little pricey with the 2 of us eating for $50.

The staff was so friendly and helpful! And the food is 🔥 I got the chicken curry, coconut rice, and fried plantains and everything was so flavorful! I have left overs and I'm so pumped to eat them later tonight 💜 I will def return to try more. Also I would buy the mango hot sauce by the gallon 😋

I tried Koko and Rae for the first time today and it was all around a great experience. Having never been there, the staff helped me decide what to order and seemed genuinely enthusiastic and excited for me to try their food. I had the yellow rice, jerk chicken, corn, and cornbread and everything was so good. The portions are very large, enough for at least two meals for me. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Koko + Rae Caribbean is definitely a top contender here in Louisville For one of the tastiest Caribbean dishes, I highly recommend this place I’m definitely coming back soon.

Really tasty. That CORNBREAD THOUGH. Both kinds. Fantastic. Absolutely yummy. We loved the yams and the greens too! Try the shredded chicken.

Our first visit didn't disappoint, the jerk chicken, saffron rice, plantains and chili were all excellent. Staff was super friendly and the space is cute, if a little small but what can you expect in the heart of the Highlands! Portions are VERY generous so keep in mind when ordering you likely can share.

The food is great! I suggest that you get the Jerk chicken with oxtail sauce drizzled on top with a side of delicious Mac N Cheese and Sweet Potatos, a piece of cornbread, and Mango Pineapple drink. This incredible dish along with the colorful venue, and Carribean music playing will give you the full Island experience! The cook has a peaceful loving spirit and I'm sure she makes everything with LOVE!

They actually provide service with a smile! The employees/owner were really nice, let us sample, & didn't rush us to order.
The food was amazing, especially the oxtail! You can't go wrong with the plantains as a side.

I got the KoKo Plate with jerk chicken, yellow saffron rice, plantains, and Caribbean cornbread. It was amazing! I love the spice. These days, honestly, it’s hard to tell if you’re eating real meat at restaurants. This was definitely quality chicken! Highly recommend

I had dinner tonight at Koko+Rae and it was awesome! I have never tried Caribbean food before and it was such a treat. The flavors were amazing! We tried all of the sides and the vegan jackfruit. Yummmy! My favorite was the cabbage. Yes, the cabbage! The greens and veggie Pattie were also quite tasty. The portions are HUGE. You can make a second meal from the large portions.
The vibe and the art are PERFECT to go with this Island theme. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable about their food to help us newbies.
I would highly recommend this new restaurant in the Highlands.

Give me flavor, oxtail, and Caribbean. That's what makes me a happy gal.

We visited twice for my birthday when they were supposed to be open. They didn't have food ready for their first two hours. We were told the food would be ready in an hour, then they said another hour in a half. After the second time, we gave up.

We normally go to Eden and Kissi but have wanted to try like no other. So, we gave it another shot! I am oh so thankful we did.

The oxtail, rice, and beans blew us out of the water. The amount of oxtail was under 2oz (it was oh so delicius that I wanted more), but that could be due to ordering through Doordash. I am on a strict bed rest for three months and handicapped from a severe surgery. While we don't like using delivery services, we have multiple gift cards to go through. My husband went with the jerk chicken, collards, and yellow rice.

It's on our quintessential Louisville list and different from Eden and Kissi. So, I highly recommend it!

We decided to check out Koko+Rae tonight on a whim, and it was such a delight! There are so many vegan/vegetarian options, including jerk jackfruit. I’m not usually a fan of jackfruit, but it was delicious! We got quite a few of the sides as well as some patties and thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. We will definitely be back.

Food was very good and fresh. The side add ons are little pricey but worth it. Best cabbage I've had in a while. Portions size are good and they reheat very well the next day. 10/10.

The curry goat was cooked to perfection I drove an hr to try this place after reading the great reviews and I was not disappointed. After my meal i ordered 3 more meals to go. Also Great staff and energy as soon as you enter they are very attentive and helpful. I will be back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been to this new spot 3 times so far and I have not been disappointed yet, besides the fact that they run out of some items which just tells me it's popular on the menu. Price may seem expensive but I feel the portions are worth the price. If you want to share some og your caribbean food you definitely can. Everything is packed with flavor. The seasoning is a little heavy on the collard greens, the oxtail bowl with yellow rice has been my fav. The meat from the oxtail just melts in your mouth. The jerk chicken is a whole leg quarter🤤it's so good. Also the have 3 different cornbread to choose from all are good but the Caribbean bread is my top pick.
Also they have a neat pineapple drink that everyone should try.
This restaurant definitely brings the islands to Louisville.
