Stuart Spalding, MD

Had first appointment with Dr. Spalding. He is amazing. He takes his time and is extremely thorough and caring. He is very personable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him. Keep up the great work Doc!

Dr. Spalding is an excellent physician. He is my PCP and has always been friendly, courteous, and take plenty of time during each visit to address your concerns and answer questions. Good primary care physicians are hard to find and Dr. Spalding is one of them.

Dr. Spalding is the best at what he does. He doesn't judge you for bad health decisions,as a previous physician did. I hope he continues to practice for a long time. Very friendly and professional.

Love the staff, not a long wait time!! Dr Spalding is amazing, very attentive and responsive with detailed explanation to all your questions and concerns. He doesn’t rush his care for the patient. You can tell he’s in it for the the right reason, not just for monetary gain.

EDITED:3/3/21 - The issue has been resolved amicably! After talking with Cathy (the front desk manager, I believe) she explained that the issue was with the physicians not accepting *any* new patients currently, and is unrelated to passport/medicaid.

Since I scheduled my appointment several months ago, she was able to get me in to see a different physician. This practice was very proactive in reaching out and trying to resolve my issue, and apologized several times for any confusion.

Short version: If you have Passport, don't bother. He is not accepting Medicaid patients, even though he is listed in the directory.

Long version: I called to scheduled an appointment on December 21st 2000 with Doctor Spalding, the earliest date available was February 22nd 2001. They took my information when I called, including my insurance information. When I inquired about my insurance (Passport), I was assured that it was accepted (which is also what the Passport website said at the time.)

I showed up to my appointment today, 2 months later, and I was told this particular doctor won't accept my insurance at this time. Even though I had scheduled this months in advance. At no point was I made aware of this change and as of right now, he is still listed as accepting new medicaid patients.

I get it, this is a rough time for everyone. I'm sure Doctors have to see dozens of patients a day, and much of the minutiae gets lost in the shuffle. That being said, this kind of setback is pretty substantial for someone like me trying to establish a local PCP. So now in addition to wasting months waiting for an appointment, I have to wait 1-2 additional months to schedule an appointment with a different provider (if not more.)

Don't let this review give you the wrong impression. I can't comment about his level of care or understanding of medicine. It's very possible he is a fantastic physician. Unfortunately communication and service are also parts of practicing medicine, and somewhere along the line the ball was dropped. It sucks to be the one waiting to catch it.

Doc Spalding is an excellent physician. He is very thorough and answers all questions in detail, backing his explanation with scientific or statistical data when needed. I highly recommend him.

I've been with them many, many years. The doctors are wonderful and the staff is always pleasant and professional.

This seems to be pretty well run docs office. I am very please with Dr. Nakatis. This place seems to be courteous and prompt.

Friendly, kind, compassionate

Dr. Spalding is thorough and seems to really care about us. I do not feel like a number, he works with my family as a team. His approach is gentle but firm.

This is by far the worst group of people I have ever come across. First I was forced to go to the emergency room because I could not get an appointment, after telling them I had a lump in my abdomen. I called the group after my emergency room visit, asking them to look at the results of my ultrasound that found a substantial sized cyst or tumor in my ovaries. That was on Monday, it is now Saturday, I have called every single day since monday being assured each time that someone would call me back. I have not received that phone call, and will be looking for another doctor on monday. None of these doctors care one iota about the health of a long time patient.
