La Sierra Mexican Restaurant

We ordered delicious food for my cousin's birthday from a restaurant inside a grocery store. They have an impressive variety of items and meats, all neatly arranged. I recommend this restaurant for a great dining experience or catering orders for special events.

You can't get better Mexican food in the area. Tried the chicken enchiladas this visit... they have taken that dish off other restaurants' menus for us! And at only $12, including an extra plate for rice and beans, we got 3 meals out of it. The barbacoa platter was great as usual. You can't pass up the chips, salsa & generous and fresh guacamole! And we have to get the plantains with cheese & crema. It's worth the drive from Lewes every time.

This place is the closest to getting the freshest food to Mexico! It was Amazing! Best Tacos 🌮 ever !

Amazing food, server was friendly, and very very reasonably priced. Hard to find a place that has all three of these qualities anymore. Generous portions. You will not leave hungry. Will visit again for sure.

The entire staff was friendly and I was very impressed by the food in the restaurant and the product selection in the store. Not only was everything delicious but it was an incredible price. I had the empanadas and they were the best I've had in this area by far

It's definitely an experience if you're not used to legit Mexican restaurants. Food is very reasonably priced and amazing. One of our favorite Mexican restaurants to go to while in the area. Make sure to peruse the grocery store while you're there.

Hidden gem in lower Delaware. Dinner was delicious. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. There is a market in the front of the building with a meat department as well. Restaurant is in the back, with seating for dine in or you can do takeout. Staff was super friendly and service was quick. Lots of excellent choices on the menu. Cannot wait to go back.

Love their food. They give good portions and have a market where you can really get a nice meal and dessert if you'd like. I'd go everyday if I could eat out more!

Very impressed with this place and thank goodness I let a friend drive me far out of the way to try it! I took my friend's advice and ordered the barbacua (shredded beef) platter with rice and beans. I ordered mine with the creme fresca and absolutely loved it. The portions were generous, that I was even able to take some home for the next day.

Ordered the asada Burrito. It was delicious. Have to go to the back of the store on the right/middle.

The asada was very flavorful and tender. I thought it might be slow cooked and then grilled.

I highly recommend this place if you're driving through Delaware.

Excellent tacos and other Mexican foods at very good prices

Had an incredible meal and the staff was so helpful and made us feel right at home by offering to open up some additional seating to accommodate our group. All of the food was wonderful, including the empanadas, burritos, fish tacos, enchiladas, and pollo a la plancha. Ordered some extra rice to take with us, too. Don’t forget to get some of the aguas frescas! Our kids asked if we could move to Delaware because the food was so good!

Amazing food and great prices. I never would have found this place if it wasn't recommended by my roommate. This is a truly authentic Mexican restaurant. My table got tacos, a variety of each and there were clean plates all around when we were finished. I had steak and chicken tacos and while I don't normally prefer corn tortillas, these might have been the best tacos I've had.

If you're looking for home-cooked authentic Mexican, this is the place to go. It's definitely not "fancy" but that certainly doesn't take away from the experience, if anything, I think it adds to it. It was very well maintained, clean, the staff was on point. Can't say enough good things about the food and service.

This little hidden gem was great. I ended up getting authentic pupusas made or loroco and cheese with the slaw. I also ordered shrimp tacos which my wife devoured. So great
