Great location for a early morning or late walk or running stairs. Add a walk around the museum and up to the lake for more great scenery and views of the city.

The steps were good for a workout, love the art pieces on the way up to the top and two art pieces at the top. 😊

Art Climb Steps at CAM:

The Art Climb Steps at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati are a unique and vibrant addition to the city's art scene. These colorful steps serve not only as a functional way to access the CAC from downtown Cincinnati but also as a visually captivating piece of public art.

The Art Climb Steps were designed by the renowned artist, Jen Lewin, and were unveiled in 2021. The steps consist of a series of interactive lighted platforms that change color as people walk on them. This interactive element adds an extra layer of engagement and creativity to the experience.

The installation of these steps has transformed a previously underutilized space into a vibrant and dynamic art destination. The bright colors and playful design of the steps create a sense of joy and wonder, inviting visitors to interact with the artwork and explore their own creativity.

Beyond their artistic appeal, the Art Climb Steps also provide a practical function. They serve as a pedestrian connection between downtown Cincinnati and the CAC, making it more accessible for visitors to experience the museum and its exhibitions.

Overall, the Art Climb Steps at the CAM are a wonderful addition to Cincinnati's art scene. They combine functionality with artistic expression, inviting visitors to engage with the artwork in a unique and interactive way. Whether you're a local or a visitor, these steps are definitely worth a visit and provide a memorable experience at the intersection of art and architecture.

We’re from Huntington, IN. Staying at Springhill Suites and saw this across the way. Walked/ran the steps in the evening. So cool!

What a lovely addition to Walnut Hills / Mt Adams neighborhood! I particularly love when there’s live music on the steps.

Just steps, but a nice walk with beautiful landscaping. Go in the evening when the lights are on. 9 stories tall.

It’s honestly the best at night when it’s all lit up. Great for lower body workouts. I can see how it could be a lil spooky for some so go with some friends if that’s the case. There’s a bunch of monitoring cameras but I’ve never seen security.

It's a bit of a hike, with lovely landscaping and plenty of opportunities to take a break and look around. The sculptures at the top are nice, and the pretty trail up there is wheelchair accessible, going along one edge of the parking lot in the trees.

Has been an alluring feature since it’s beginning and yesterday I took the challenge. Unlike a usual stroll in the park I was able to walk up steps, rest while enjoying the beautiful landscape that the parks in Cincinnati is known for. I look forward to doing it again.

Truly in a class of it's own! I like going up AND down them. I will certainly be using these stairs again the next time I need to go up that particular hill.

Nice hike up and down. The art along the way was enjoyable. Kids liked all of the different ways to climb.

Beautiful space. Places to stop and rest along the way. Even without the art installations (coming eventually) it's a nice destination to grab fresh air and exercise.

It was great. I could not climb all the way to the top so i took the pathway around to the parking lot.
