Fish Hatchery Trailhead (County Park)

Nice parking. The pump track and skills park are very nice.
The vault toilets are vault toilets, but it's better than not having any restrooms. When I arrived a ranger pulled in behind me and gave me a great trail report.

The Hatchery Creek trail is a blast, and the lower loop is fantastic.

If you hike against traffic, you can walk the mountain bike trails. They’re beautiful and fun to traverse, with winding, rolling packed dirt and sand against sometimes-steep vistas. Great place for kids to run (as long as they’re old enough to be safe on some of the narrower parts of the trail).

When you arrive, go across the creek and to the right as you face the tall hillock full of pine trees. Then take the first left into the one-way mountain bike trail (note that it’ll say ‘do not enter’— that’s for bikers).

Very peaceful place where you can picnic, BBQ, hike or mountain bike. I think the cross country skiing and snow biking here must be incredible too but, I made my visit in August.

the Hatchery Creek trail will intersect with the Mosquito Brook trail and you can take that onto other trails... The Birkebiener ski trail also goes through hatchery Creek.

Great biking (skills park, mountain bike trails for all levels), skiing in winter and hiking. My kid likes to wade in the rocky stream.

Beautiful and easily accessible trails! Even prettier with the snow - can’t wait to come back!

Autumn Beauty! Perfect place for a picnic and a dog walk on the Berkie. We enjoyed our visit tremendously.

Great place - Spring ( bird migration), summer (bring bug spray/netting), Fall and Winter. Plenty of trails mainly for mountain biking, XC skiing, snowshoeing and hiking the birkie trail. Beautiful hardwoods of NW Wisconsin. Toilet, cover picnic tables and charcoal grills. Worth visiting every time your here.

Ther Hatchery Creek trail head was the finish of the Mt. BORAH EPIC Mountain bike race. It's a great venue for such a fun event!
