The Wilder Scratch Kitchen

What a great discovery. Someone we met earlier in the day recommended this place and so we gave it a try. Wow. Small venue with wonderful food filled with flavor and range. This is a place we shall return! The service was great as we were net with smiles and friendly people. You be glad you went.

My boyfriend and I wandered into The Wilder on the early end of dinner on a Saturday in late September. We were warmly greeted, seated and had our drinks (a beer and glass of wine) in hand in minutes. The starter of roasted Brussels sprouts, radishes, and bacon served in an acidic mustard sauce was fantastic. We also shared the 1/2 lb burger of the day, which was a spicy blend of sirloin and prosciutto, topped with a soft creamy cheese and a perfectly balanced raspberry “ketchup.” The fries were well seasoned and crispy and their housemade side sauce was a bit on the smoky side. We ordered one other cocktail and our bill was under $50! What a perfect date night and I recommend getting out of Minneapolis for a truly cozy experience with a lot of bang for your buck.

This place is worth the trip! I love the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Everything, from the burger of the week, to the buffalo cheese curds, to the cocktail menu, are well thought-out, unique, and delicious.

Chef Lundmark is a genius with food. Daily and weekly specials keep it exciting to come back regularly and the menu also changes seasonally

What an amazing hidden little gem. Flavourful, creative, savoury, scrumptious ! I just tried their new Carmelized Onion Bacon Dip and it was so delicious! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Located in the quaint town of Bayport nestled on the St. Criox River. This resturant is fantastic. The food is rotational, so be sure to pay attention on the website or social media. The food is always great. The drinks were very strong. The resturant is small, but the food speaks leaps and bounds and I highly recommend going. I know I will be going back.

Emily is amazing! I sure hope she is the owner because, she is nothing short of outstanding! Emily has served us some of the best meals we have ever had (sorry mom)!!!! I cannot tell you how amazing this place this. From someone who has travelled the world I cannot stress the quality of The Wilder. If you live any where near here, let me tell you your trip you will be so worth it to come here. We recommend everything! I mean everything. There is not a bad item on this menu. The staff deserves every single Michelin star along with the food. Find this amazing gem, and I promise it will be your go to spot for dinner. I cannot rave enough about the menu and the staff, seriously you guys put my favorite 5 star restaurant in Italy to shame. Thank you so much! I cannot speak highly enough of this food, I’ve been here numerous times but forgot to review it. The food is innovative with modern twists and classic appeal. The chef is down to earth and talented, watching him work in the open kitchen is awesome, his care to detail and flavor profiles is very keen, great service every time I have been in which going on probably 10-12 times. Coming in tonight to try the new menu and can’t wait. Keep up the good work chef :))

What an amazing place. The food, wine, and service are top tier.

We stopped in the night before Thanksgiving. Initially we were the only folks there, but more did come in. Our burgers were great and Jeanie went out of her way to give us a good experience. We will be back to try other items on this unusual menu.

OMG! It’s a must. If you enjoy a fabulous meal meal…you must try. Unique flavors, and excellent service. Give it a try. Not cheap, but so worth it. Bill for 2 with drinks was $79. Will be back for sure.

We had family dinner last night. The food was absolutely great. They have a couple of korean infused menu items which was a surprise to us. We had korean style chicken wings as a starter. It has exceeded my expectation. The entrees (grilled chicken, pork ragu, burger) were all great as well. This is a unique restaurant in bayport. I am glad we found this place. This restaurant definitely deserves more recognition for its atmosphere and cuisine.

Food was excellent! Bought a mushroom appetizer that was beyond delicious. They also brought us a new appetizer they were working on (on the house)- it was also beyond delicious. Wish they had a slightly better tap beer selection, but for a small place, it’s what I expected. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable, along with a friendly and creative chef and kitchen staff.

Had the Pork Osso Bucco- OMG. Served with cheesy grits and a spicy sauce. WOW. The meat fell off the bone perfectly, and the entire meal was perfectly balanced. I’m drooling just thinking about it. Need to head back soon!

Very small but very good. Small menu, but we all had burgers or cubanos and they were excellent. Small but good beer list. The service was also great. I will definitely go back.

Had the shrimp toast and it was amazing. We also got the French fries and they were the best French fries I have had in a long time. The dipping sauce with the fries was great too. We will be back again soon for the great food

Last minute Wednesday night dinner escape. Didn't feel like cooking. Glad we picked Wilder. It is always better than expected. Great service. Imaginative and tasty selection of soul satisfying flavors.

The food was incredible, the drink was incredible and the staff was super friendly. I love the drink the made for me and the bartender showed me the ingredients and how to make it so I could make it at home! Talk about over the top, I'll be back and often

This place is fantastic! The menu is fantastic. Great drink choices. Friendly service. I like the location too! Of the beaten path, but still a quick run from Stillwater.

We attended a wine dinner here tonight, and everything about it was exactly what it was should be. Pairings were exact and complementary. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the vintner came in all the way from the west coast to share the evening with us. This was a first time experience but it will not be the last.
