Woodman's Food Market

If you can’t find what your are looking for at Woodman’s, it may not exist.

Seriously, Woodman’s has many types, brands and styles of each product. A wealth of knowledge resides in the meat department, even though the meat counter no longer exists.

We picked up fixings for traditional Wisconsin bloody Mary’s, sushi, vodka and limes.

We loved Woodman’s when it first opened and it is still that good today.

We will be back.

Where do I even start to rate a truly phenomenal store like Woodman's?! I have never seen a more expansive, amazing grocery store! When i say it's unbelievable, I mean it. The selection is unmatched! Rows and rows of choices. I could have shopped for the entire day! They had things I've never even seen, only heard of. And the produce section.... Wow. Just wow. Not to mention the meats and cheeses! (I mean it IS Wisconsin, right!) The people were great as well. And it has a liquor store too! It's easily a one stop shop. I am disappointed that I don't live near one but I'd drive 100 miles to get to one! It's that good. If you see one, GO! Don't miss it. I'll definitely be visiting again!

best prices for everything. If youre shopping for liquor/ beer/ wine, Woodys is probably half the price of festys or hyvee.

I enjoy this store a lot, many varieties of plant based meat (which I eat daily so I need variety). Sometimes you'll find real gems here, food or otherwise (i got a giant crystal ball with a beautiful yellow rose inside it for $8. No clue where it came from or why it was there but I love it). Great produce section, much bigger than walmart. My only complaint is that it took me about 7 different trips around the store to figure out where the bathroom was. Maybe signage for bathrooms should be easier to see, or spread throughout the store. Frantically searching for a bathroom with a 2 year old saying they have to pee is stressful.

They have everything! There poll is great too. It allows me to arrange my grocery list on the ap by location in the store. So helpful.

Always fun to explore and stock up. Large fresh produce section and generally wide selection of brands and package sizes throughout the store. The warehouse-like size makes it feel a little like COSTCO without the membership. Crazy fast checkout people, tho there are often lines to slow the process. Parking is plentiful. Gasoline is as cheap as you'll find in the area.

Our favorite supermarket! Prices are usually lower than other local grocery stores. Staff is super friendly and helpful 🙂

Best place for groceries in the area, for the selection as much as the prices. I just wish they accepted credit cards!

Edit per the response from the owner: Discover represents 8% of all credit cards in circulation in the US, and only 4% of America's total credit card purchase volume. Touting that you accept Discover is like saying you accept cash, but only in the form of rare coins. This isn't helpful to most people.

This was my first experience here and I was thrilled! The produce was fresh, flavorful, fairly priced and the variety was significant. I came here to get some New Glarus before going back to MN. I ended up with $200 of fresh produce, smoked meats & cheeses. Next time I end up in Rochester I will plan to drive the extra 52 miles and make a shopping trip at Woodman's. I was very impressed!

Great location, convenient parking, self check out, lots variety of foods including Asian and Latin oriental, one stop shopping.

We picked up groceries and the liquor store for cocktails. Lots of great choices and quality produce and meat. Great store!

If there was a 10 star button it would be smashed. This is a must stop when I travel to West Salem. Hands down the best grocery store. Keep up the good work.

Twas a good trip to Woody's always a vast selection of goods that tailor to many peoples needs like non-dairy or lactose free items.

First time in Woodman's was a good experience, this store feels small, but is actually huge. Spent most my time in the alcohol department. They have an enormous selection of wine, liquor and beer. So much so that you could spend a long time finding exactly what you like. You can also find new brands only offered by Woodman's. Definitely the spot if you want to try new alcohol.

What is not to enjoy about this place?
As a newcomer-it can be overwhelming, I’ll be honest. But take your time to understand the layout.

As a mom of three, I choose to shop here once a week. There’s not much this shop doesn’t have. I have developed a master grocery list with this store in mind. The online ordering is honestly a sanity saver for me on busy weeks. Employees are helpful and patient. I love that this is employee owned and you can tell that they take pride in the work that they do.

Best beer and liquor department in Western Wisconsin, great pricing... my only complaint is just to darn big!

Wow...just wow. We are from Sioux Falls and shop here obviously, but also Minneapolis (Cub Foods) and Omaha (Whole Foods, Trader Joes, etc.). Woodman's has a truly staggering selection of, well, everything!! And awesome prices. They would run Hy-Vee out of town if they were here. We typically shop Sam's, Costco, Fareway, and sometimes WalMart or Aldi. But it is crazy to see 15 different flavors of T. Marzetti dressing. The meat department is huge. Produce? You bet - fresh bok choy, sugar cane, sweet corn was 3/$1 lol. Here it's like a dollar per ear.

All around I couldn't believe the selection of different things--and priced reasonably. Yes, they were busy--I see a couple of reviews complaining. We came at prime time but I bet if you get there right when they open or later evening they probably aren't super busy. And that also tells me something. It's always the stores with no cars in the parking lot that I start to wonder. lol

Overall, we will go out of our way to go here again if we are ever even remotely close to one.
