The staff was very professional keeping me informed at each step in selling my vehicle. Paperwork was clearly explained easy to understand. Todd was excellent and most of all courteous. I coordinated the move of the vehicle from one store to the facility closest to where I live. I'd worked out all the terms and details with an agent over the phone ahead of time; scheduled a day and appointment to go test drive when the vehicle arrived; took it for a ride while it was exactly as advertised; the salesman, Mark Bell, understood the game plan and took care of all the details with the business office within about an hour. Had a fair offer on my car. I checked several websites and CarMax was the best. I uploaded all the paperwork they requested and after arriving I was out within 30 minutes with a cheque. The wait was for the mechanic to give the car a Quick Look to make sure it was as I said it was. Could have got more money selling privately but CarMax made it simple.

This is my 3rd car through carmax. The cars are always in great shape . It is a fair price for a top used car. Others sellers dont come close. $2000 less w another dealer but the car needed front end work ! ?!? Plus 90 days guarantee. I even get to order the real color i want. No push for warranty s or extras. The last car was ready in 90 mins to go with the new expedited program. I will come back for my wifes car next year thank you nick and everybody behind the scenes

I test drove a car and saw another one online that I wanted to test drive. When I asked about it, I learned that it was about three hours away in New Jersey. The salesman said we can bring it down for you. I offered to pay for the transfer cost but he said no charge, but it will take about 3 days. I was sent an email tracker and I knew when it had arrived in my location. That gave me plenty of time to do my research and since my research was favorable, I knew if the test drive went well I was going to buy it and I did. You have 30 days to take the car back, so I took it to my mechanic and my mechanic give it a great review. I feel like I got an almost new car for less than half price. It also came with a warranty.

The most important thing was the feel. I felt like they were selling me a high quality used car. I go by my instincts a lot and my instincts were favorable.

Just keep in mind that the prices are set. You either want it for that price or you don't.

These people are pretty good salesman. I sold a car to them at a great price and the whole process was less than three hours long. Walked out with my check. I like the communication between front desk and salesman.

This was the easiest and most pleasant car transaction experience I have ever had! The team at CarMax was prompt, knowledgable, professional, and friendly. They were eager to help and answered all of my questions. The hours of operation continue into the evening and include weekends which allows flexibility for work schedules. The best part, the sale amount provided to me was quite fair. It was a bit lower than Blue Book, but for the convenience and ease, it was well worth it!

I used the app to get a quote for buying back my 2013 Explorer. The quote was very fair. When I got to the Newark location, I checked in, gave them my key, and was told to wait for a bit. Took my car in for an appraisal. They were fast efficient and the highest of the three places I took my Mercedes to be appraised. Another local dealer had explained their process could take 4-6 weeks to get me a check because there was a small loan balance on my car and they wouldn’t cut a check till they had the title. Car max bought my car on the spot and I walked out with my check (what they paid me after they paid my car off)
