Took a little drive (30 mins) to see if the hype was real about the fish fry! It was well worth the drive! Nothing fancy; small town bar that was either gonna be a lesson learned or gold mine! Well, it was a gold mine! The fish was incredible! Four nice-sized pieces, deep fried in a perfect batter. Batter was light and crisp while the fish was fresh and flaky! Strongly recommend giving this little off the grid place a try!

I stopped here on my Ice Age trail Thru-Hike because I wasn't in a good mood and was hopeful that a burger and beer would cheer me up. It's hard to choose my wording when describing the Wagon Wheel. I want to say it's the best place ever but I don't think that is enough superlatives to describe it so I'll say it's the "bestest" place ever. Staff was great, food was awesome, atmosphere and locals were amazing. I had run out of bug repellent while hiking today and one of the locals went out to his vehicle and gave me his. Stopping here was meant to be, and if you are reading this I hope I need say no more than you are a fool if you pass it by.

The best fish fry I've ever had. If you go on a Friday night be prepared to wait a bit because all of the locals know how great this is. You can order ahead for carry out if you'd like.
As for the bar there are a basic selection of alcohols, 2 or 3 beers on tap, High Life, Bud Light, etc. Fair prices and quaint small-town atmosphere.

This bar is in very small town. The food is really awsome. If you go to the fish fry on Fridays make sure you get there early because they sell out fast. They also offer homemade soups and other good home cooking. The prices are very reasonable.

The fish fry was amazing! Start off with cheese curds and wash it down with a cold Spotted Cow. I had an amazing time with good company. Highly recommend and it was well worth the trip!
