Stonehaven Cottages

Ted and Lori are wonderful hosts. We have stayed at Stonehaven numerous times and will continue to do so! The cottages are beautiful, cozy , very clean, and have beautiful views! My family loves Stonehaven!

This was our 3rd time staying here and it was wonderful as always! The cottage is clean, comfortable and has everything we needed. Cannot overstate how much I recommend staying here. Lori & Ted are exceptional hosts!

My entire family had the pleasure of experiencing Stonehaven Cottages this summer. We reserved all three cottages - ages spanning 2 - 81 years old. I asked everyone for a few words to describe our family time: joyful moments, calming, peaceful, cozy, charming, quiet, great bonfire set ups, FAMILY TIME, all around AWESOME, amazing place, rejuvenating, great outdoor space for games, fishing!!! We were absolutely impressed with the natural beauty of the property and the stunning main house! Each cottage was decorated perfectly and was well equipped for each family's needs. Honestly couldn't say enough about Ted and Lori - so personable and helpful. You need to see for yourself! Excellent and professional communication through the booking process to check out. Thank you for everything!!!

One of the most peaceful locations!! Birds, lake space between cabins is amazing. Clean and very well organized. Ted and Lori are super helpful with any questions!! Recommend very highly!

We just stayed the weekend here in the cabin, Birchview and it was perfect for us. All ready decorated for the holidays and we were able to have a quaint family getaway for our holiday retreat! The staff prepared the cabin with clean and supplied for a relaxing time! Definitely looking at revisiting here again!

This place was beautiful. The view was spectacular. The cabin was so cute and perfect for the amount of family that was with me. It was so peaceful and I could definitely have stayed longer and just enjoyed the beauty. The little desk they have stocked with paper and pens and you could do journaling was perfect. They definitely put a lot of work into making it beautiful and peaceful and very clean. Definitely would go back.

What a cute and super-rustic setting the Birch view is! Quiet, clean and so well laid out in the old fashioned way! We took the pontoon out and while the lake was super low, it was still a treat to do so. The cottage is very well done with generous accommodations. Everything while designed to be rustic I found to be as new. We look forward to coming back! Highest recommendation!

Wonderful cabin and wonderful owners! Would definitely recommend and would rent again!

Lori and Ted are gracious hosts and true IAT Angels❣ They are quick to respond to any needs. During our stay Lori offered us a ride back to our car after our 11 mile hike on the Bear Lake Segment. She saved us 2 hours of walking and biking that day.

The Turtle Cottage on the lake is breezy and cozy with all the comforts of home. Watching the Eagle across the lake and hearing black bear stories was just the tip of our wildlife encounters. We hope to be back some summer soon to hike more of the IAT.

Loved our stay at stonehaven cottages! we spend the weekend at the turtle and it was absolutely dreamy. a sweet little romantic get away!!! our cottage was so cozy and our airb&b-ers were incredibly welcoming and friendly. as we pulled in, we were greeted by the owner who welcomed us with a big smile and friendly service. she explained to us a few things, and let us know the cottage was ready for us! we walked in, and it was INCREDIBLY clean- so we tried to leave it that way when we left (:
Rice lake itself was a charming little small town with lots of adorable shops right on their main street. The cottage is very close to the stardust drive in, so its a must to stop by there during your stay!
coming from Chicago, this place was a dream. if only we could stay here forever!!!

Stonehaven was AMAZING! All of the finishing touches were absolutely stunning! We were treated so kind and felt so welcomed there! Reggie (their Labradoodle) got along so well with Allie (our Yellow Lab) they even went on a walk together! We took the pontoon out and totally enjoyed ourselves! It was definitely a weekend we needed! We will 110% be going back to Lori and Ted's resort and we also can't wait to see what the future holds for them! ❤ We are very happy and excited for them!

Absolutely beautiful cottage. It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The attention to detail in this cottage is outstanding and adorable. We spent 5 days here and didn't need to request anything. I would recommend Stonehaven Cottages to everyone. We stayed in the Turtle, but the other cottage looked just as beautiful if you have more guests with you. Very hard to leave, but we will surely be back!

Loved this place! We stayed in the gatekeeper cottage. We wanted to escape the city for the weekend and this place was great. From the moment you drive in, you feel at home. The quarter mile walk down to the lake is peaceful. We hung out at the dock and bird watched. We were going to take one of the boats out but we decided we'll do it next time. The pictures don't do this place justice. It's even more beautiful in person. Everywhere you looked, there would be another small thing that we noticed and loved. We will for sure be back!

1st impressions mean a lot.Ted and Lori are in the beginning stages of developing a resort. We are their 3rd guests. We were welcomed warmly, given a lay of the land, and left to enjoy the cottage. Well done. Roomy and very classy. Rates? Very reasonable. About 100.00 dollars... Far superior to a hotel room.
Based on 1st impressions, I would highly recommend. And would return.

Went for little getaway for our Anniversary, was blown away how nice the gatekeeper cabin was.Cabin is well stocked with items need, more than we expected. We definitely want to come back again in the summer. Owners are super nice. So glad we found this gem. Thanks for the memories!

What a great place this is nice and cozy! My wife a and I stayed in the Turtle cabin, the cabin was really quiet (just what we needed) and is very well equipped. Ted & Lori the host's we're really nice, they have complimentary canoes, kayaks, and a pontoon you can rent for a small fee, there are a few hiking paths on the property as well and 2 island's you can paddle to and explore, (think...blaze your own trail) the place has a great location close to Rice lake but not to close, we rode are bike there. My wife and I like to get out and hike, there are many places to do that near here via a short drive, (15-30 Mins Bluehills trails, Pipestone quarry, Ice age trail as well) lastly don't forget the bug spray, after all you are in the northwoods in Wisconsin.

Amazing place for a get-away. Tremendous attention to detail, amazing woodwork throughout, beautifully decorated. Has its own trails down to the lake, and is also close to a major walking/biking trail. We highly recommend the Gatekeeper cottage.

Really beautiful property, attentive hosts, the cabin was very clean and welcoming. We would stay here again!
