Everything was soooo good. The spices tasted strong and fresh. We got the hottest level for all our food and it was flavorful and spicy. And most other Indian restaurants serve food that costs a lot more and isn’t even as good as this.

I have been recommending this place to everyone I know. I moved out here from Los Angeles and this place easily rivals the best indian restaurants I tried in LA. It’s amazing!You can really taste that the food is homemade with love and care. Plus, the people who run it are so kind that I would support their business even if the food wasn’t as good as it is.

I can particularly recommend the lamb korma and the chicken tikka masala. The chicken and lamb were soooo tender and the sauces were incredibly flavorful!

This restaurant is a hidden gem in VT! It is honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had - you can tell all of the ingredients are fresh and that every dish is homemade. The vegetables samosas are insaneee and so worth it for only $3?!

I’ve lived in 3 cities with all amazing Indian food and I was worried about moving to a rural place oversaturated with pizza and pancakes. This is some of the best I’ve had, and I am so thankful they are nearby. I had 4 different curries and all were incredible. Thank you for being here!!

This is a take out only place. The food was really delicious. Nice sized portions. We had chicken Tikka, lamb vindaloo( medium was spicy) and korma. Highly recommend.

the very best food around in my opinion. Thank you people for never disappointing and making bomb food. Been a customer for a few years now and it's always my go to happy food. Serving sizes are also big and I totally get two meals out of every time I order. I love it. Veg Samosas are super good and the brown sauce is inexplicably delicious.

Location can be hard to find as it is present inside a house. Decent prices and good food. There are no Indian restaurants near by so you might find some queue.

I try to order at least once a week for lunch. The convenience of ordering online and picking up here is amazing. Meals are affordable and for me it's comfort food. Taj-E-India is always kind and polite and they don't have funky hours like much of the rest of the upper valley.

i am giving it a 5 star for the quick service but food was decent but this is not Jersey level Indian food. But friendly/quick service. Only take outs.

If you're looking for quick takeout with great quality and prices while going through these parts, definitely do. Very tasty!

Great pickup food. Very tasty. The Vegetarian appetizer including pakora and samosas was very good. The Bryani was also quite delicious as was the garlic naan was good.

Take out only. If you think GPS took you to the wrong place, it really is the place. Drive around back and ring the bell on the back porch. The food was phenomenal! One of my top 5 restaurants ever. The food is tasty and it is flavorful (spicy come on it is Indian food). Even the rice that came with dinner was spectacular. Kofta kashmiri, brilliant! I think I'm a tougher critic than GR. I eat out a lot because I travel a lot. Can't wait to go back to this area for this restaurant.

If you are in the are, you must stop and order from this amazing place. We ordered both the chicken and veggie samosas…so good!
We also ordered the korma curry and I ordered the mango chicken. Oh my gosh. They were phenomenal! We live 30 minutes away. My husband said we can make the drive anytime for this. Great portion size for the meals. And the rice is fluffy and seasoned. Delicious on its own. I had the mango lassy. refreshing and tasty. We will be definitely coming back. And we can’t wait!

A hidden gem! The best Indian takeout in the Upper Valley... Worth ordering food for the garlic naan alone. Prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get.

Delicious cuisine in a discreet, take-out only facility. The food really tastes like the real deal… you get the feel as if it were prepared out of someone’s home kitchen! It’s a nice touch: the service was friendly, the food was so dang good, and having had a ton of Indian food over the years (caveat: without having been to India) I’d say it felt authentic. If you’re lookin’ for something fun for dinner that’s not run-of-the-mill in the area, GO!

Amazing food! You are able to pick the spice level of the food you want, and it is quite accurate. Very cute little place, and they do only have take-out, but that’s totally fine. The prices were very good for the amount of food and the quality of it.

Ordered the chicken vindaloo, lamb biryani, and chicken samosas. Loved all of it; everything was properly seasoned and spiced. Just a heads-up, this is a takeaway place—there are no spots to dine in. So call and order, then when you arrive, ring the bell for pick-up.

This is our go-to Indian restaurant. The food is incredible, and the portions are great! They ONLY offer takeout, so be prepared to take it home. If you ask, they'll give you utensils and you can eat at the park benches around the property.

By far the best Indian food in the upper valley.

Taj-E-India is possibly one of my favorite restaurants in Vermont. Everything we've gotten from there is absolutely delicious, fairly priced, and come in generous portions. I can't say enough good things about this place. I'm so grateful they exist (and in such a pandemic-friendly way).
