The Parkway Restaurant

My husband and I went in here tonight and it was one of, if not the best dining experiences we've had not just together, but for both of us in general. From the moment we entered, we were greeted by a hospitable and gracious host who turned out to be the owner! It was amazing getting to meet him in his own restaurant. After we were seated, our server Kate came to check on us and brought us drinks. Kate was extremely charismatic, sweet, funny, and professional. From our first interaction, we instantly connected with her and were joking around which only added to our amazing experience. He ordered the rack of lamb which not only was plated and presented beautifully, but tasted amazing. It was savory, herbaceous, and packed with an entire pallet of complex flavors with which he paired a long island iced tea that tasted perfect. It had the perfect amount of alcohol and not too much sour. I however went a different direction and ordered the shrimp and scallop scampi which was plated and presented just as beautifully. The combination of tastes and textures was something I can only describe as beautiful. The shrimp were large and fresh as well as the scallops. The garlic herb sauce paired with the pasta with the flavor of the scallops was truly unimaginable and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves seafood or wants to try something new. All of this I paired with a Pear and ginger martini which tasted amazing. I had never had one before so the flavors were a splash of freshness! At the end of our amazing dinner we were offered dessert which we politely declined due to our being stuffed! My husband had a conversation with the host/owner of the establishment about Delaware and the weather and whilst getting change and after coming back to the table, we were presented 2 slices of chocolate cheesecake compliments of the owner as well as congratulations from him and Kate on our just getting married (we came down for our honeymoon.) Our drinks, meal, service, and entire experience overall was perfect. We highly recommend The Parkway Restaurant to anyone who loves great food with an amazing atmosphere.

Julie was the perfect level of attentive and fun. Never got to half on a beverage. The Champagne Supernova cocktail was delicious. Octopus was cooked perfectly, which commonly gets murdered at most restaurants. The Scampi was perfect. Not some heavy cream based slop like America is used to. The Asparagus Puree Soup was another delicious option. This is definitely somewhere we will come back to next vacation.

The Parkway has delicious food, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. My husband and I ate there recently on a Friday night while staying in Bethany Beach for the weekend. The food was so good we returned and ate dinner there again on Saturday night.

If it is on the menu, I highly recommend the Seafood Pot Pie. It is out of this world, absolutely amazing.

Our 1st visit to Parkway--Best experience ever! Our reservation was at 5. We were seated at 5 & our waitress/Julie took our order 5 minutes later. She was wonderful!!! Told us about all the specials & explained what each dish consisted of. Refilled our drinks..etc. No wait for anything. The food was delicious...My husband ordered the chargrilled octopus as an appetizer & the sea bass/entree. All he kept saying is that "this is the best fish that I have EVER had". I said "I know---you told me that already" LOL. I had crabcakes & they were the best--hardly any filler - Just pure white crabmeat. The owner came over & we told him that we saw his Restaurant on "Foodie Friday News Chanel 47". That's why we drove way from Crisfield, MD to try it out & we are so glad that we did. We definitely will be dining there again!

I loved this place. Great food and service. The atmosphere could use a spruce up other than that it was a SUPER place!

My husband and I eat here often. It's one of our favorite places in Bethany Beach. Jane was our server tonight and she was outstanding. I had the mahi my husband always gets the rack of lamb which is always done to perfection. We had the peanut butter chocolate pie which was off the chart amazing. We can't wait to go back.

My husband and I celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary tonight. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing! I had the lamb and mushroom soup. My husband had the prime rib eye. It never disappoints. Get there if you have a chance!

Great dinner. Friendly, hospitable and helpful staff. Warm, and tasteful atmosphere. Crab cakes, and scallop and shrimp scampi were wonderful. Highly recommend.

We went there w/my friend and had an excellent experience. The owner came to greet us and ask if everything was up to our liking. Everything tasted absolutely delicious. We couldn't resist the sweets either.

Smooth ambient accompanied by the phenomenal food, the best salmon I’ve ever tasted and it was extremely terrific and on point, decent price with high quality, friendly staff and everything was perfect to enjoy the night

Delicious Appetizers and Entrees! Perfect portions!

My husband and I were at Parkway last evening I think it was the 3rd time we have been there We shared a wedge salad & I had the filet and he had a ribeye I think it was the best filet I’ve ever had and the potatoes they serve with the steaks are excellent Really enjoyed the atmosphere/food/service. We will definitely dine there again

Just opened ! Has been closed for deep cleaning and fresh touch ups all winter ,too long for me, I missed coming in. Thank you for the safety distancing, I noticed it is over the minimum state regulations. The food was more than expected from the new owners. This week it was above just a good steak! ( opening week, I tried the the shrimp roll it was so fresh! ) If you cant tell I love this place!

Delightful place with phenomenal food. I had the mushroom soup to start. It was not heavy cream based but more pureed. It was earthy, fresh and full of flavor. Great start on a spring night at the beach. I ordered the swordfish for dinner that came with asparagus and I substituted green beans for the rice. Everything was cooked perfectly. This fish was flaky, sweet and delicious. There was a lemon caper cilantro sauce that paired perfectly and not overshadowing the delicate flavor of the fish. Topping off this experience was the service. Fabulous, friendly, conscientious and funny. What a great night. I can't wait to go back. I really want to try the Australian rack ok lamb.

We have eaten at Parkway many times and have never been disappointed. Our carry out tonight was fabulous. We ordered four dinners- all dinners were complete with rolls and butter. Our orders were exactly as we requested and ready to go when we walked in the door (they offer curbside service too). Parkway offers the best cuisine in Bethany by far!! Thank you 😊

Had a great crab cake and excellent service!

Chef Dana Banks served us fabulous food. Started off with butternut squash soup with chunks of crab so yummy,then I had the privilege of getting the last piece of FRESH rock fish served with a delicious sauce( not sure what it was) cucumber salad, rice, FRESH asparagus. Unfortunately no room to try her assortment of desserts (homemade). Great warm cozy atmosphere, attentive staff with honest down to earth attitudes. Super experience that I hope happens soon again.
