Blue Water Grill

The food is great and it's definitely home made to order, not frozen stuff from the big suppliers. We ordered the cream of mushroom soup, very creamy and had the nice texture of chopped mushroom. We tried the crab dip and it came with a roll of bread. The dip had pieces of crab meat and quite cheesy as well. We also ordered the fried oysters entree. The very large oysters had a nice crunchy batter that were cooked perfectly. The side of Mac and cheese was baked with extra cheese on top, very nice touch. The sweet potatoes masher had a light touch of bourbon and it's perfect for the meal.
The decor fits the style of the restaurant that caters to locals and casual dinning but with excellent food. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The only negative was that we were not informed about the happy hour has a different cutoff time for those who sit in the booths or tables than those at the bar and high tables.

2/2020: We came back and tried out the Happy Hour special. The mussels with garlic and wine sauce were great. We ordered the nachos with chicken and we were delighted that the nachos were freshly made, crunchy and loaded with everything served in a huge platter. The service was great and our server/bartender was very pleasant.

My husband and I were looking for restaurant with flounder and this place didn't disappoint. The hostess was very nice and informed us of a five minute wait upon arrival at about 7:30 PM on a Saturday evening. They told us about their daily specials, which sounded delicious but we opted for normal menu items. My husband ordered the fried flounder which came with two sides (broccoli which was perfectly steamed and mashed potatoes). I ordered the french onion soup and the grits with blackened shrimp. We didn't leave anything on the plates, everything was delicious and flavors equally balanced on the plate!!! The wait staff (Colton) was kind, courteous and attentive, refilled the water glass before it was empty without needing to be prompted. The restaurant was very clean and could tell the staff knew what they were doing and enjoyed working at this establishment. The seating arrangements were comfortable with pillows offered in the booths, especially nice for an 8 month pregnant woman.

The best prime rib I've had was at Blue water grill. The best restuarant in millsboro.

Was a bit concerned after a few reviews, decided to try anyway.. VERY HAPPY we did!!! Went for an early dinner, 5 peeps total.. Had apps, crab dip and jalapeno poppers both very good.. The poppers are new on the menu and they checked to see how they were, very pleased... 5 entrees,, Flat bread pulled pork pizza (very good), Chicken Marsala( very good), Spinach salad topped with salmon (very good), Ultimate chicken sandwich (HUGE and very good) and Fried Oysters which were awesome!! Sweet potato fries were delicious perfectly done!! The service was excellent and attentive!! I found the place pretty clean in all.. Bathrooms were clean.. It's in an old building so expect that.. Nice decor.. Just go try it and see for yourself!!!

I took my wife here for her birthday and our daughter, and the whole experience was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had. Cheyanne, our waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere was relaxed, rustic and upscale, all at the same time which was very pleasant. Finally, the food was some of the best food we have ever had out. I got the special, the blackened mahi with mango. Cooked to perfection with fresh, vibrant flavors. The pricing was also extremely reasonable. Cannot wait to come back again!

The food is great and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We stopped in on Christmas eve and had a great time. Would definitely go back.

My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant during our trip home from visiting family. The service was wonderful and the food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with really neat decor. Even the staff was entertaining our 1 1/2 year old while we waited for our food to keep the peace. We will definitely add Blue Water Grill as a pit-stop along our travels in the future!

Don’t miss out! The food is always spot on, drinks are great! Strategic draft beers relevant to food options and season. This is my moms favorite place and I love taking her there! It’s really a worth while visit!

We easily made reservations, were greeted warmly by the waitress for our group, and she was excellent. She allowed us to laugh it up while she casually did drinks, appetizers, etc very gracefully. We will definitely be going back again!

Stopped this past Sunday on the way back to PA from the OBX. Never been here before, my wife picked in on a whim from "restaurants near me" while driving through the area. I didn't really expect much, but was very pleasantly surprised. My wife and 2 kids had the Blue Water pasta and I had the blackened trout w/ mac & cheese and green beans. I thought my meal was one of the best all-around meals I've had out in a while. We all tried each others food and agreed our main dishes were excellent. The blackened trout was very well seasoned and it didn't overpower the fish. Also, my sides were surprisingly excellent as well. Would definitely stop back again if we were in the area. I'd also like to state that Richard our server was also very helpful and attentive.

My sister and I happened to be passing thru downtown millsboro at dinner and decided to try blue water grill and I am glad we did. The decor is simple yet had a quaintness about it. Definitely gave you a small town vibe but their menu said otherwise. There was a great selection of draft beer and daily specials. We tried the chicken satay appetizer of the day. Good portions for both of us. The daily special was blackened shrimp alfredo which we split. Plenty for both of us and also very good. We each got salads both of which we enjoyed.
And they had homemade desserts, of which we had to try the peanut butter pie. Also delicious.
I'll definitely be going back.

Our waitress was delightful. We both had the BLT which was made with fried green tomatoes. It was delicious. When the warm, homemade potato chips was the icing on the cake. The restaurant still has it's original tin ceiling which were beautiful. We were. To sit and just relax without being hurried. This was the first time but not the last time that we will be eating at the Blue Water Grill

Eric the bartender always makes you feel like family. I had the frosted flake French toast, so good.

Amazing service and amazing food. Highly recommend the fried oysters and coconut shrimp, the blue water burger and the shrimp burger are excellent too. Huge shout out to Richard who took care of us this evening, we couldn’t have asked for better attention or friendlier service.

Both got specials, one was pork and the other was catfish. Will be back again!

Best crab cakes in Millsboro. Superior Maryland crab meat. No filler. This is a beautiful classy restaurant. They bend over backwards to treat you like a valued customer. Great atmosphere! I highly recommend this place.

OH MY GOD. First of all, let me say, it's been so long since I've had food this delicious. I ordered the crab dip and it was AMAZING, it tasted like pure love. I split the ribs with my girlfriend because they're huge, and the meat practically fell off the bone. This is probably one of the best restaurants in Delaware, and I highly recommend it to anyone passing through Millsboro.

Great food and service. Shrimp were better than Big Fish and ribs much better than Bethany Blues! Inside restaurant is very quaint. Waitress was very attentive.
