City Cinema

I love this little theater. The owners and nice and the popcorn is great. We spent $12 on a large popcorn, a water, and a box of sour patch kids. Thats about half the price we would have paid back in my hometown in Arizona. The seats are comfy and the speakers are nice and loud. Great place to see a movie! Amd they have a larger selection of movies than Lamcaster usually, which is the other theater nearby to us.

We love going to this cinema. Comfy seats, good view of the screen, good sound system, and above all... very friendly and helpful staff. Great place!

Went to see Dr strange multiverse of madness. The prices are pretty fair. They're overpriced of course, all theaters are, but it wasn't so bad that I felt like sneaking snacks in or just going without. Plus the ticket prices are very reasonable.

The screen looks great and the sound sounded clear but with a definite impact that really punctuates scenes with loud moments. The chairs are comfortable enough that I wasn't uncomfortable by the time the almost 2 and a half hour movie was over. The staff is really friendly too. It's a pretty decent theater. I'm glad that it's so close. I hope they're able to stay profitable and I'm glad they were able to survive the pandemic after being closed for so long. It's refreshing to go see movies again rather than just waiting for them to release at home.

Great movie theatre. Comfy seats, not overly loud for kids and friendly staff. The wait for concessions can be long but it's to be expected. Been going there since I was a kid and will bring my kid there.

We watched the movie "It" and loved seeing the red balloons tied to the cars to match the story line!🤡🤡 friendly staff and the pricing is fair!

Used to be a dump, but under new ownership. Really nicely renovated with really comfortable seating. Good prices at 10 dollars, with a 5 dollar date night on Wednesdays. Only three screens but it's a small town and a really nice theatre.

We went to the free Holiday movies today. It was so festive, some of the staff were in holiday sweaters and hats, all were wearing smiles. What a great event, thank you.

The city cinema is a great theater, it has really good popcorn and its a nice family theater. Its not too big, it also has great people working there and great service. I definitely recommend going there if you are in the area.

Clean, comfortable, professional environment. Staff was very friendly and the sound system was great. Im glad we have this venue in our town.

Great little home town cinema! Reasonably priced, discounts for seniors, matinee, and children. Comfortable seating, and even a cup holder on the armrest for your beverage!

Great place for an afternoon matinee. New seating is comfortable. Nice and warm in winter, not like it used to be. Very nice.

The staff are a really friendly, nice bunch of young folks! They also keep the place very clean! Prices are comparable to others in the NEK.

Coolest small theater I have been to. Very nice staff and had someone walk out with my sunglasses after leaving them in the theater.

Perfect size theatre. Nicely renovated. Really friendly staff. Easy senior access and wheelchair accessible.

AWESOME place, could'nt recommend it more highly. If you're tryna see movies in Newport this is DEF the place to go
