The excellent Indian food. We had the coconut curry lamb, chicken sagg, potato sagg, and garlic nan. Everything was flavourful, delicious and served hot.

Service was good. Our waitress was incredibly sweet and responsive.

The atmosphere needs a lot of work, but people don’t come here for the decor.

This place is amazing! Loved the Chicken Thupka - it was out of this world. The momos were also amazing. I wish we lived closer - I’d order all the time!!

Family run restaurant with a couple tables and lots of people coming by for takeout orders. This spot has had many immigrant owned restaurants with mostly traditional foods.

We started with samosas and mango lassi. The samosa was perfectly flaky, packed full of of potatoes and pea filling, and not greasy. The accompanying sweet and spicy sauces were nice along with the complimentary papadam.

Our main dishes were coconut curry chicken with rice and lamb briyani. The coconut curry chicken was not spicy and perfect for our daughter to eat with the freshly made buttered naan. We enjoyed the spicy lamb briyani, which was the right level to enjoy the flavor of the rice and meat. We had this along with garlic naan. Very filling meal for a reasonable price. Friendly staff who got the food out hot and and in a timely manner.

We didn’t think we’d find momos this delicious outside India! They were excellent here. This is a small and rare Indo-Chinese place, which serves Manchurian and chowmein and momos (with the soup too!) we also loved the naan, dal, and the papad! Highly recommend the food. We were served by Dhyan, who was so kind and made great recommendations.

Best Indian/Nepali food I’ve had in a long time and definitely the best I’ve had in Vermont.
We had the chicken momos, veggie chow mein, Aloo Tikki Chaat, and Paneer curry.
Everything was fresh and delicious. Generous portions. The aloo tikki chaat was particularly delicious with spiced yogurt and fried potato bits, creamy chick peas-mmmmm. The rice was fluffy and lightly spiced with cardamom.
We ate there and it was lovely, looks like they are doing a lot of takeout too. The family running the place are very friendly, we had great service.

I love this place. They are fast, their food is delicious, and they are reliable. I am a vegetarian and love their Samosa Chaat with the garlic naan. We always dp takeout from here whenever we don't want to cook, and are always so happy we did!

I’m obsessed with this place. The food is amazing and the family is so sweet. If you like Nepali food (or even if you’re wrong and you don’t), go here… you’ll be happy you did. ❤❤🤩🤩🥹

I ordered the vegetarian thali, samosas, and parathas. There was so much food - easily enough for two! The thali came with papadum, rice, channa masala, aloo saag, paneer makhani, vegetable korma, naan, tamarind and mint chutney, and one gulab jamin! All of the food was very delicious!

My absolute favorite restaurant for lamb saag and Gatling naan! Great service, friendly people, and true authentic food. I wish they were located in other states as I was able to enjoy on a nurse travel contract. If I’m ever in Vermont again I’m definitely going back!

First time in Vermont as a Marylander, and my friend recommended this place! Was some of the best food EVER! Was also my first time trying curry, and it was absolutely incredible!!! Definitely stop by this place ❤

Friends Nepali Restaurant in Winooski is INCREDIBLE. Something about their use of spices, their preparation technique - food you've tried many times before will taste completely different and amazing! I bought some for my family for the first time last night and they all agreed that it was the best Indian food they've ever had! (They serve Indian, Nepalese, and some Chinese dishes) And for $80 four people ate until they were full and had leftovers!! My favorites are the saag paneer, chow mein, and you have to get the fried dumplings. But I don't think you could go wrong!

The veg Chow main and the Shrimp fried rice were delicious! The seasonings were perfectly balanced. Also had a Somosa which was great! I'm looking forward to my next visit to explore their expansive menu for other tasty dishes. 👍

Rice is ON point today, fragrant and perfectly cooked! And of course the Tikka Masala is amazing. I am a frequent and happy customer :)

Wow.. The food is amazing and the portions are huge. It was completely worth the hour drive. Medium spice level was perfect. It burns a bit but doesn't overpower. I will be coming back for sure.

I had a really nice experience here. The owners were very kind, and the fried rice was the best I ever tasted.

This was possibly the best food we've ever eaten at a restaurant. It's a small dining area, but there were tons of takeout orders picked up during our visit. The service was top notch, and the food was absolutely amazing. We had the potato cheese naan, cheese naan, butter chicken (medium), goat coconut curry (mild). Failed to take pics... I love spice and probably would have upped the butter chicken to spicy. The hubby does not like it spicy, so he loved the curry just as it was. I actually thought the curry was a bit spicier than the butter chicken, so it may be the spices specific to the dish that make a difference. Regardless, absolutely try this tiny, amazing, local gem with the best service and great smiles!

We live outside of Washington DC, and this is better than anything we've ever had. The only reason this is 5/5 stars is because I can't give it 6. Make sure you try it!

This is such a hidden gem!! Everything is so delicious and the staff is so kind!! Would come again in a heartbeat. Expect lots of leftovers!!

I always dream that some day I will find that super special hole in the wall place in the US... Well tonight was it. While looking to get a quick bite while visiting my son at UVM we randomly happened upon Mountain Valley and the food was fresh and very well done the vibe of the place was cool and the staff kind. Mostly though it’s that the food was great!
